Re: OOC Thread

Neide:
Modern-age pulp, as in: pulpy themes in a modern world. :) Not sure if it's workable, myself...

So, 1930s. Any initial ideas for what kind of character you'd like to play?

Male. Evil-puncher. Maybe a little like Doc Savage, a puncher-scientist (or Tom Strong, if you know that reference).

Maybe a masked avenger, maybe not, depends on the world and what options you give me...

...THEN AGAIN, a mystic, like a Chandu, might be appealing, too... Mm, it's hard. Depends on the exact world and the options you offer...

Ha! Chandu... I have to Google him. I know Doc Savage and Tom Strong...

I'll make you know what I came up with.

The Shadow is basically Chandu except with guns, hiding half his face with a scarf, and specializing in just one mental trick learned in the mysterious far east

So, backwards: take away The Shadow's guns, don't hide his face, and let him be a bit more of a jack-of-all-trades as far as mental tricks learned in the mysterious far east, and you've kind of got Chandu.

Please do.

I meant, where exactly on the ground floor..? :)) But now I see it's not that important - she's obviously close to the staircase.

Right.

(Any word on progress on a Savage Worlds game?)

Re: OOC Thread

Ah, so to be clear: the guys are currently right of the hole? And they cannot get to either the western or the northern corridor without crossing the hole first?

As for the SW game: I'm thinking... The thing is, currently my mind is more in the fantasy and sci-fi modes. I have some ideas for 1930s pulp, but not sure if they are too good...

Welllll... just tell me what you're thinking about using Savage Worlds for, and we'll discuss it.

Start with sci-fi thoughts, perhaps...?

Re: OOC Thread

Hmm. When it comes to sci-fi, I don't have anything fully solid yet, but I'm in a mood involving fighting killer monsters, guns, high-tech, far future...

I need to work out the details, is all :)

I have the general feeling for what I'd like to do in such a story. Just need to iron out the actual plot... Bear with me, please :)

Sorry not to post today. Very busy start-of-semester day, and then a really bad weather-related (I guess?) headache. And tomorrow will likely be worse (at least on the first front). I'll do my best...

I have been just about out of my mind with anxiety over the election, which obviously is not over.

I expect to return when this anxiety is resolved satisfactorily.

Thanks.

Okay, for obvious reasons, I think I'm feeling enough calmer to try to proceed.

Tomorrow starts Family Time for me, so my GM posting is gonna be REAL sporadic for more than a week (but probably less than 2?).

Nah, not too much.

ADVISORY...

Starting today, my schedule changes. I will have less time Mondays-through-Thursdays, but-- kind of like the latter part of last year-- more time Sats and Suns. (Usual amount of time Fridays.)

Just a heads' up.
