Johnny smiles at Prodigy "Yeah yeah, choombata's. As I was saying Johnny here was hired to lead you guys on this mission. I got the call same as you. Told to meet my team here and information would be forthcoming. Nothing to worry about chooms, Johnny is on the Job and has you covered." He's overly relaxed right now as he looks each of you over.

The Salaryman nodded.  "Have you been informed of how or when that information would be delivered?"  She asked, since he seemed to be much more in whatever loop existed than they were.

Johnny smiles and nods at Salaryman "Bossman should be here any minute now. Then details will be forthcoming. All is well chombatta's. So what kind of run's have you done?" Johnny's looks to the others, most who have remained silent.

As Johnny continues to chatter with you guys, trying to get information about you and giving you little about the mission, telling you about how great he is, the splashing of approaching footsteps can be heard. It sounds as a single man is approaching at a run towards the building.

At the sound of someone splashing towards them at a dead run, Phoenix produces an Uzi Mini-Auto 9 smartgun from a quick-release holster under his jacket so quick and smooth that it almost seems to have teleported i to his hand.  Obvious proof the old corp has wired reflexes.  He turns towards the source of the sound, staring towards the darkness intently.

The Salaryman did not draw a weapon at the sound, but she did take several steps to put her within reach of cover should whomever was rapidly approaching bring trouble and not the information they were waiting on.

--Let's just say, my types of runs entail a lot of getting out of places. And fixing things.-- She really does not give a lot of details about herself.

Prodigy simply stood her ground. If it was simply one set of footsteps she was not worried, yet. When she starts hearing more that's when she will start to move. --I assume that's him?--

Overrider moves to the hinges side of the door against the wall.  He leaves his right foot in front in his stance to catch the door if it slams open.  Weapon at the ready.

The steps slow as the person reaches the door, you can hear them sort of composing themselves before they push open the door. Stepping into the room, a small man considerably under 2 meters in height steps through the doorway. This short man, pulls off his hat, shaking the rain away before he closes the door. He looks over his shoulder at Overrider and smiles  before looking to each of the others, his eyes pausing on Phoenix's uzi for a moment before he continues

"Good Evening gentlemen.. and ladies. I am so glad to see you all here. I also see that you have met Johnny. Good. Good indeed"

He seems pleased that those introductions were over. Prodigy will recognize that while the voice is similar it is not the same as the one on the phone. He unbuttons his old style raincoat. Obviously Japanese as he moves towards Overrider first, offering his hand in greeting.

Over rider looks at the offered hand.  Why does everyone want to be choomba with the hired help.  Cover my back in a fight and I'll shake your hand money man.

An audible sigh escapes Prodigy when he gets to her. She points to the various communicators people has, then points to him, and her, then makes a talking motion.

Each receive a firm and vigorous handshake from the man. As he gets to Prodigy he just shakes his head "I do apologize but I do not have a radio communicator. You will have to have others talk on your behalf or write the words out." He moves onto the next person continuing his greetings.

As he finally reaches Johnny he places his arm around the older man "This is Johnny. Undoubtedly the best man alive for the task at hand. Isn't that right Johnny?"

Johnny offers a wide dirty smile in response to the Japanese man "Most definitely. Me and these Choomba's are getting along great. We can't wait to get this show on the row."

The Japanese mans smiles and nodding in agreement as he claps Johnny on the back as he turns to the others.

The Salaryman began to bow, but then tentatively took the man's hand as it was offered to her as she introduced herself in japanese.

She then waited as things were finished and looked to see if they would not find out exactly what they had tentatively been hired to do.

When the man comes to him for introduction, the former corp makes the Uzi vanish back into its holster and takes his hand firmly.  I am called Phoenix, he says flatly.

She frowns, and writes out a note. --Your voice sounds similar to the one on the phone, but still a bit different. Forgive me if I seem untrusting, but, why's that?-- Then she hands it to him.

The Japanese looks over the note and smiles "As you have guessed, I am not the one who called you and this is only a meeting point. My employer waits not far from here. If you will all follow me..." With that he guides Johnny towards the entrance door with a slight push upon his back, gesturing in a polite fashion for Johnny to precede him.

Johnny lifting his head high, grinning at the others "Let's go meet the man, eh choombatas. Get the skinny on this deal and make some euro" Johnny with a wink steps out into the street ahead of Japanese man, taking a moment to allow his eyes to adjust to the new light as the rain belts down upon him, rolling off his shoulders.

In a single fluid motion the Japanese contact draws and fires. A single shot, to the back of the head and Johnny falls forward into a pool of rain and filth. The firearm spins in his hand as he releases his grip, only held up by a single finger within the trigger guard. "My apologies. Johnny was here on another matter and will not be joining us further."

That caused Prodigy to stop and reach under her hoodie for her heavy pistol, though she did not draw it out, yet. Instead she would access the situation, what was going on, and possible escape routes.

The Uzi Mini-Auto appears in Phoenix's hand once again, his eyes focussed upon their potential employer for a moment.  When he does not attempt to fire upon them,he lowers the weapon, but keeps it near his side, as he scans for other possible threats.
That was not a good way to instill a feeling of trust in those to whom you are considering an offer of employment.

The Salaryman paused as Johnny suddenly died.

She did not reach for a weapon or take any other sudden actions but rather seemed to pause to make an assessment before resuming her previous demeanor.

Overrider's Sternmeyer snaps up to their contact at the sudden movement.  "After you" he says gesturing to the door.

The Japanese man smiles at the others, turns and steps over the body of Johnny as he steps into the ever-pounding rain and onward towards the rendezvous proper. He did not even bother to look down at Johnny as his blood mixed with the pouring rain.



OOC:
If you failed the Empathy Check you lose 4 pts of Humanity if your Empathy is 6 or higher. You lose half that (2 pts) if you humanity is 5 or lower as your are just a bit to cold to the rigors of the world.

As Phoenix waits for the others to file out after the corporate fixer, he seems to ponder the body of Johnny lying prostrate in the rain, what blood has leakex out from the wound being washed onto the concrete.  The shot seems to have been clean, with little opportunity to bleed from the suddenness of death.
As the last of the group leaves before him, he follows suit, without looking back at the carcass left behind.

The SalaryMan looked after the man, who apparently was not the one who had contacted them but an associate or underling of said man, as she made her way out of the warehouse.

She gave the body and the pool of blood a wide berth as she went so as not to get any on her polished black shoes.

Since it looked like they would be covering whatever distance was needed on foot, once outside she pulled out a collapsible umbrella of clear plastic from her bag and popped it open for the walk.

Prodigy frowned at the killing of Johnny, but then she just shook her head and followed behind their contacts contact. Considering the death she had seen over the last several months, this was nothing new to her.

The Japanese man turns down the alleyway that the warehouse door runs along and begins walking through the rain. He doesn't turn to check to see if you're following but you are sure he is aware that you are. He seems stops and considers something off in the distance before he continues to the next street and turning down it.
