She hates Wells, it's almost palpable the way she says his name.

"No class maybe but pretty good taste yeah?"

"Look I'll shoot straight with you. I'm helping an old friend out. He was hired to find Fargo and that's about it."

"And this friend hired you?" Caitlin asked softly as she sat comfortably on the couch waiting for Kilroy to join her. "In the zone, one of those two dives is where I'd start. Haven't seen him in ages. And don't particularly want to."

"Hired is a bit strong in this case."

He sat down but on the other end of the couch. He tried to move casually but he'd been wired up into a predator a long time ago.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, what's with the disguise?"

"You're not exactly hard to look at but that cover face is an eye burner."

Caitlin smiles at Killroy's compliment, sliding a bit closer to Killroy on the couch. "It's simple really. It keeps the unwanted away." Sliding a bit closer she says "As far as Fargo goes, Check out Fast Eddy's or the Garbage pail. Scummy places, just like Fargo" She takes a sip of the scotch as she eyes Killroy's reactions.

221 C Baker Street (WIP)

The Salaryman had the cab drop her a block up from Baker Street.

Given the nature of the area and her appearance she looked rather innocuous to anyone who should happen to pay her any mind as she walked with purpose under her umbrella through the drizzle.

Once she turned the corner she kept walking until she spotted the building at 221 in the distance.

As casually as she could manage she picked a spot that was between puddles of light from the various buildings and then ducked into the mouth of an adjacent alleyway which let her be out of direct sight while still keeping an eye on the entrance for 221.

Mentally she keyed out a message to the others letting them know she'd arrived in the area.

221 C Baker Street (WIP)

The stripped down, rattle canned Volksrad bike turned the corner onto Baker and coasted to a little parking area near 221 where Rip eased it between a few parked vehicles, the tinny little engine giving a whine as it died and the headlight dimmed.

Rip eased one leg over the bike, his motocross style armor creaking as he stood, rolled his shoulders, then glanced to the passenger on the back. "Wonder if the others had better luck?" he mused aloud as he reached up and eased off the full helmet, his face a little red where the weight of the protective gear had been sitting.

Lady Koi had been enjoying the ride, in some small measure the nostalgia of riding behind Rip and holding on tight, and the rest was the thrill of multiple near-death experiences as he weaved through the Night City traffic, and her in a mini-skirt, blouse and armored jacket.

When they stopped he leaned back so he could dismount without kicking her, then also got off the bike and quickly pulled down the skirt that had hiked up during the ride.  "I sure hope so, Eddy's was a bust," she replied, opening the jacket half-way to let the cool night air in.  She pointed to the address, "221 there."

Killroy knocked back the scotch as he was watching the message from The Salaryman crawl across his Times Square Marquee(tm) and set the glass down carfully.

"My team is close by. If you can give us anything useful, Maybe give Fargo a call? There could be a payday in it for you."

"Lost those digits when I stopped being his Input. Check one of those dives. Maybe they'll know where he is" Caitlin offers with a shrug and a smile. She finishes her own scotch off, pushing herself off the couch and moves towards to refill her glass. Her hips swaying as she walks away.

OOC: Outside:

The ever present drizzle begins to come down harder. The sounds of a siren off in the distance can be heard but the area is relatively quiet for a street of Night City.

Rip glanced up briefly at the rain, his helmet held in one hand ashe walked side by side with Lady Koi towards 221.

"Makes me miss the country..." He told her quietly before he tapped gently on the door and gradually made his way in.

"Any luck?" He asked the assembled once he was let inside.

"You don't think he'd be interested if he thought you were willing to give him another shot? I can't imagine he seen much companionship in your league since you put him out."

"If the payday doesn't interest you then maybe you're interested in having a guy like me that owes you a favor?"

Rip and Koi are standing inside the front door in the lobby with the call pad and vid screen to there side. Salaryman is across the street watching the building as the light drizzle of rain turns into a direct downpour.

221 C Baker Street (WIP)

As the rain picked up the Salaryman took a step deeper into the alleyway she was standing in, to keep her shoes out of the splash zone of a drainpipe.

She kept her line of communication open and continued to wait for word that negotiations had concluded, or had broken down in such a way that a reaction was needed.

Re: 221 C Baker Street (WIP)

Phoenix had contacted a ride share to get a driver to come pick him up from the safehouse.  Taking a different route than The Salaryman.  Also taking longer to arrive on site, having chosen to be dropped off a few blocks away to walk a circuitous route.  Almost like a siteseeing tourist.  A twitchy old man of a tourist who moves like he is trying to restrain a tiger try to rip its way out of his body.
When he arrives, he sits on a grimy, grafitti-covered bench at a nearby bus stop.  He takes out an old, well-worn paperback from his jacket pocket, and opens it to one of its dog-eared pages, and appears to begin reading it.

"How about I invite my friends in and we discuss it further?"

Roy's demeanor did not change. He was negotiating not flirting or threatening.

After the invitation came, the Salaryman took a step onto the sidewalk and took a studied glance up and down the street.

She then crossed and made her way to the building to join the others inside and hear what sort of opportunity Killroy had managed to negotiate for them.

Phoenix waits to be the last one to approach the door.  When he stands up, he neatly tucks away the old paperback inside the inner pocket of his jacket, looks both ways, and takes a leisurely stroll up to and through the doorway, making sure it is closed behind him.
