Re: OOC chat

You can't, not as your next feat at least because warpriests don't get channel...

GM:
Umm... Not until level 4 on a war priest.

My updates might be a little slow this week, and possibly next as well.

Re: OOC chat

Sorry GM, I meant Panache. Too many rules for my own head I guess...

Not now Guillemot I've got a headache:
Guillemot... you don't have grit... you have panache. Or am I missing something in your ridiculously complex build? Did you mean to use panache to hit touch AC? Is that a thing? My head hurts.

He's more than just a pretty face:
Sharp Shoot (Ex) [Deed] - At 1st level, a bolt ace can resolve an attack against touch AC instead of normal AC when firing a crossbow at a target within its first range increment. Performing this deed costs 1 grit panache point. [Panache instead of Grit for this ranged build]

Grit, Luck & Panache pfsrd:
...For feats, magic items, and other effects, a panache user can spend and gain luck points in place of grit or panache points, and vice versa...

I played a gunslinger in another game for quite a while, so grit must have stuck in my mind. I'll try to keep my terminology straight. ;-)

Also, may I assume Guillemot recovers a panache for that kill? You didn't really specify who's it was...

Re: OOC chat

I've been playing loose with initiative, but rolled a d3 and it told me that Arias got the kill out of the three of you (Klag, Arias, you) :-)

In reply to GM (msg # 127):

Ah, actually that's a good way to handle it. I always like to hold one Panache, just in case, and I keep forgetting about the Harrow Points...

Re: OOC chat

With 12 more hp of damage, methinks Lamm has slid from lightly wounded to heavily wounded. Luckily I still have 1 more chakram. Need to buy a few more, I think. Great short range thrown weapon.

If Guillemot is going through the hole, he also has an escape artist check to make.

Re: OOC chat

My bad, I mis-read and thought that was for the little door we came in where Guillemot got shanked.

And not even Panache will help that roll. I'd need the dice to explode twice. So I'm effectively clogging the hole Courvana. You might want to reconsider your actions...

Re: OOC chat

Sorry, it's confusing I know.

There are two 'quick' ways up. One is to try to follow Gaedran, which requires jumping to grab ceiling, climbing up to next floor and squeezing through the tiny hole he wiggled through. So acrobatics (jump), climb and escape artist checks.

The other is to go outside the room you're in, jump up and grab the catwalk and pull youself up on it. So athletics (jump) and climb checks only. BUT... The door to get outside is tiny and requires an escape artist check anyways. Except failing THAT escape artist check only costs you a move action, taking more time to squeeze through the door.

Re: OOC chat

That makes sense, thanks. So Guillemot's just hanging out since I spent panache to get up there. Assuming he can make another attempt to get through next round? Also, would this have been a viable place to spend a Harrow Point? If so, I'll spend one now.

Re: OOC chat

Actually good point it's the perfect time for a harrow point, which allows re-rolls of dex-based skills (as well as initiative, reflex save, attack rolls modified by dex)

Have to take re-roll or can spend a second or further harrow point to re-roll again until you're out of harrow points, or don't want to spend any more. Can re-roll the escape artist check, for example.

Other uses of harrow points in this chapter are

2) dodge bonus to AC +1 bonus per harrow point spent. For one encounter

3) +10 speed increase for one encounter

Re: OOC chat

Well...

Spent 1 and failed. Do I dare spend another? I'd have to roll a natural 18 without Panache, likely a 15 with panache... pretty good way to blow through everything cool that Guillemot has, but then again... I see this as Inigo Montoya chasing the Six-fingered Man...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adVOWBDM-_8

Spent a second Harrow Point. Got me to 12.
Spent a third... Guillemot rolled 19
Spending last Panache to get through!

Re: OOC chat

Damn Lamm:
"And they say they never fall for the same trick twice..."

I should have trusted my instincts! I'd first thought to try and lean through the door to try to take a shot at the fleeing BBEG, but then assumed he'd be trying to flee. Clever girl...

Re: OOC chat

Actually the DM said in post 60 b) Jump in the water and swim for shore, then scamper up the shore. Depends on your swimming, but climbing the shore is a simple DC 5 climb check. You'd end up somewhere outside the fishery

Re: OOC chat

You're both right. Can't swim out from inside where the Croc was. But can swim to shore from outside if you jump off the walkway. There used to be a shark waiting for you there, but courvana and guillemot took care of that earlier.

Daniel Tracelon (Trace):
what if theres something on the ship? Trace muttered before he knelt down on the dock catching his breath.

I'm sure it's perfectly safe for the guy with 0 hit points to wander through uncharted territory. What's the worst that could happen?
