While I wait for players, I'm thinking of putting up solo freeform threads to help flesh out character concepts. Anyone interested in that? They'd be relatively plot-free, just straight roleplay character interaction, maybe introduce some NPCs we can use later that kind of thing.

Question. Can I take the Lore skill for Korvosan Law as one of my Background skills?

Can we craft weapons or armor for our starting equipment?

Let's say no on crafting starting equipment. With max starting gold you should be able to get what you need for starting equipment. If you can't let me know, maybe I can arrange a loan. With absolutely no strings attached, I guarantee you, trust me! I will try to arrange some downtime for crafting, but it's a fairly fast-paced campaign in the first bit at least.

I think as far as knowing Korvosan law, you have a couple of ways to go. The most complete would be profession(lawyer). Profession(criminal) would give you a different side of it - things like which magistrates you really want to avoid, or how to manipulate a specific guard into giving you favorable treatment, etc. Profession (guard) or even profession (bounty hunter) might give different angles

Lore(Korvosan law) hmm... You're welcome to take it of course. I guess that'd be a way to have a 'high level' view of the law, more like what a scholar or academic who isn't a lawyer might understand about the law. I'm honestly not seeing where it might come up in play, but maybe you can?
