X2's dome rotates, as though he is looking at each in turn, before chirping and warbling again.  I, however, want to keep one of the blasters.  And a few powerpacks, the com translates.

Re: Sarlacc for thought

“Alright it sounds like we have something workable. X2 jump on the scanners hook into the station if you have to and find us a suitable site for the exchange. Remember we need somewhere they can’t land We’ll make them come in via speeders and we need a quick root back to the hard luck. Jubjub you I will hide these weapons in case the scanning crew comes back. Brannexx and Jett find stuff that isn’t illegal to replace it with. Hex take some of those thermal dets and get started on the timed distraction. Oh and X2 here.

Zenna tosses X2 a blaster pistol from the crate. Then gets to work gathering the weapons to be hidden around the ship.

X2 chrips a "Thanks", even as he speaks again through the coms.  We can just store them back in the "new coolant tank".

I'm sorry, but I didn't picture the crate as the coolant tanks, but as being placed within a box made to look like one.

"Yes we can X2, if Jett and brannexx can find another empty crate to use. If not sorry but you lose your coolant tank hidden compartment. Brannexx and Jett that might be easier let's see if we can find another crate roughly the same size before we hide this stuff? Common Jubjub.."

Says Zenna taking a quick look for another crate.

Re: Sarlacc for thought

With JubJub having so quickly located a suitable box in the next cargo bay over, Jett decides to devote her search time to finding items of similar size and weight – and precious little value — to fill the crate with.

And if X2 was keeping one of the ISB-issue hold-out blasters, Jett certainly was too. Grabbing a power pack from the initial discovery and loading it, Jett stashes the second pistol in the back of her waistband. Now where would be best for her to convince their contact to meet?

11:41, Today: Jett rolled 13 using 3 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 2,6,{Wild}5.
Planetary Systems: Forest planet that would provide best cover for hand-off hit and run?

Brannexx had held his opinion on the the previous" Shoot a Stormtrooper for grins" matter, but the plan being proposed now demanded he sound off. " Sooo, you want to frack with a Special Investigator of the Empire. We set them up, and we MIGHT get the money, and we might not. So far, they only suspect us of something, but if pull the trigger on what you have in mind, they will know we are what they thought we where." Branexx took a drink of beer, and he handed another bottle to Jub Jub.

"We might get the credits, but we WILL be wanted by the Empire, bounties placed upon all our heads. I am not going to accept  this idea of yours. I have a better one. We grab our contact that is an imperial stooge, and give him gift wrapped to Jabba. Let the crime lord take out his anger on that piece of poodoo. He will be annoyed with us, but we will show we are loyal." He took a drink of beer.

Re: Sarlacc for thought

Searching the nearby planets you find 3 suitable areas:

1. An abandoned factory area where you can place your ship inside an abandoned factory but it is also most accessible by ships on the planet talus.

2. A polluted swamp region where you will need to park your ship well away from the meeting site but no ships could approach and land they like you would need to come in in ground vehicles. Located on the planet Tralus.

3. A forested area of correllia with wooded areas to hide your ship within a short distance from the site and room for them to land nearby but little access from the Sky.

Re: Sarlacc for thought

Jett folded her arms in response to Brannex's plan, but directed her answer to everyone, "The difference is this way we set *them* up. Look, I hate to pin it on our late captain, but hey, if Agent Badguy needs an explanation, well, let's say our contact and the Cap were old buddies. As far as I know *he* planned this hand-off with Gregorious that the Cap kept mum about. And in our business, it's supposed to be no questions asked, right? And look out, spoilers, but I think we try to palm the creds on the sly first, and only pull a smash-and-grab and make a break for it, *if* the poodoo hits the fan."

Then, after reviewing the planetside options available, Jett said, "Either the abandoned factory space on Talus or the forests of Corellia. In the woods, we can at least be a little more cloak and dagger — but if there's little skybound access, I can see that getting real messy real fast, especially if we need to make a quick getaway. Abandoned factory's wide open to air traffic though, so... I guess it's pick your poison for escape route?"

"What do we like better and what'll get us less... dead? Weaving through waves of TIEs, or squeezing our bird through treetops. I could go either way."

X2 mulls over the options, chirping quietly as his processor runs through them.  None of them sound perfect, but the swamp may be the best option.
The translation comes through the coms again.
I think the swamp may be the best option.  No one can brings a ship in, and we can lose pursuit through the trees.  If we camouflage the ship, maybe even sink it into the water somewhere, we can hide out for awhile until the heat is gone.

Brannexx just looked at Jett, that obviously had ignored what he had just said. " FINE!. You want to play with these jokers, then let's play for keeps. We break out some of Jabba's weapons and ambush the ambushers, and wipe them out.. We keep the contact alive to give as a present to Jabba. We get the money and expose a traitor. What say you?"

Jett shook her head, "Look, all I'm saying is that if we give them the weapons, we're frakked and caught red-handed dealing in contraband. If we do that, *that's* when the Empire will know we're what they think we are.

But if we give them a box of the captain's old clothes and whatever other junk we have, I can convince 'em it's on our client and that he pulled a swap. If I can't, well, that's where Jubjub and his nimble paws come in. If he can't snag those credits then? Then we go in guns blazing.

And if it gets to that point, you can even take your new hostage, I guess."
Jett raised an eyebrow, "I know you seem to like the company."

ooc: Jett is just giving Brannexx a hard time with that last comment, what with his interrogating the Bothan previously.

"Kriffing Stang," Jett cursed, seeing the shadow figure creeping around.

She grabs the nearest bit of big-enough work cloth and wraps it around her head like a scarf, hopefully concealing enough of her face from spying eyes.

Then with the holster of her blaster unclipped and ready to draw if need be, she rushed out to intercept their contact in as believably friendly a fashion as she can muster.

"You might get your chance to get your new roommate sooner than I thought," she says to Brannexx. "You, JJ or Zee, uh — cover me."

ooc: We see the guy creeping around, yes? I'm able to spot him through the viewport?

Re: Sarlacc for thought

Before Jett can run off to meet the cretin that set you all up Zenna grabs her shoulder and with a sly smile says,

“Wait Jett! Remember he’s wired, and we’re probably under surveillance. Play innocent with him for now. Like we don’t know him or his cargo. Tell him to pissoff if he asks about anything illicit, act as though we don’t have anything to do with that shit. Play it cool, like ice cold.

We’ll get Jubs to follow him when he leaves. Then you and Brannexx can arrange your own meeting in a dark corridor. Cover up, so he won’t recognise you. When you do talk to him, if he asks about the hardluck, just say it was a decoy to throw the imps off the scent.

That way the hardluck stays clean and we can still arrange the ambu.. I mean a meeting.”

She then turns to the ewok.

“Jubs, when he leaves you follow him ok. Keep in contact via comlink, we need to know where he is. I am sure  Jett and Brannexx here are looking forward to a one on one meeting with this guy.”

She stops as though she remembers something and turns to Brannexx.

“And when you catch up with this guy, Brannexx. You may want to “accidentally” let it slip that your imperial contact gave you a heads up on the bust, thus the decoy. If we are convincing enough that special dick will think that there is a mole in his department. He won’t bring in as many troops to the party, because he won’t know who to trust. That may even the odds a little and make them more missable..Ya know what i’m saying?”

Jett froze mid-stride and wrapped the scarf further around her face and head, leaving only her eyes and nose exposed.

"Good idea. And... trust me." One could almost sense the smile developing underneath the scarf as she continued, "I mean, I *am* innocent after all."

Then she loped down the entry ramp. Upon catching the interloper's eye, Jett affected a terrible accent.

"Oi! Get eway from ther, vaygrant. We 'ont 'ave any food we can spare! I've 'alf a moind to cawl securi'ee. Get lost, creepa!"

Jett shook her head, laying it on thick — the opposite of what Zenna advised — hopefully for the better? What with Zenna’s desire to play it so... *controlled* all the time, Jett worried about the toll all that restraint took. So she persisted.

“What’s all ‘is then? I don’ know a Milo, ‘av never seen ye mug before — and I ain’ buying no utility speeder in the dead of night! Securi’ee is gunna be all ova here again, if ya don’ beat it! Scram, ye nightcrawler!”
