Re: OOC

Question: Did we get a free skill or something that allows Zenna to understand Wookiee, Binary and Ewok?

Re: OOC

The language adjustment is easy.
For droids, you find out the difference between ability and skill dice they start with and the 25 that organics start with, that's how many additional dice you get to play with for customizing your droid.  Astromechs seem to have 25 or more to start.  Not much fiddling around I can do there.
Just know that orriginally, R2-D2 was supposed to be a speaking role, with the periodic electronic sounds as self-censoring.  So, I think it is safe to assume that astromechs know a lot of curse words and use them almost constantly.

Re: OOC

Kal and Brannexx I am not going to role play a shopping trip to the general store or the weapons shop.

Please let me know what you want to and I will give you a price. Just a note on the items if they are requiring a permit or restricted they are more expensive eg a heavy blaster is 1500 creds

A mechanic is actually good at technical skills.  SWRPG was a weird game.  Pilots ruled at beening Mechanical, while mechanics ruled at being Technical.  Anyways, I have pretty typical wookie.  It does look like we have a LOT of overlap though.  We should probably sort that out a bit.

Dexterity 3D
  Bowcaster 4D
  Melee combat 4D
Knowledge 1D+2
Mechanical 3D+1
  Astrogation 4D
  Space transports 4D
  Starship shields 4D
Perception 2D
Strength 4D+2
  Brawling 5D+2
Technical 3D+1
  Space transports repair 4D+1
  Starship gunnery repair 4D+1

Jewanhna - looks like your our tech. So keep it up. But you can help me pilot

I would point out that any non-mission specific equipment (and the definition wouldn’t very limited) is going to come from your share of the pay, and not the general pool.  That money isn’t for your personal use.

Did you see the pthers’ Stats?!?!?!  I have nothing on them and was going to change it a bit.  It seems like we’re dealing with a few specialized people with min-maxing tendencies.  My wookie cant keep up with that.

Well Brannexx has  gunnery skill for starships  otherwise his skill set is geared towards ground  conflict.

I dropped the specialized skill on Space Transport repair. It was taken because we only had 3 PCs and an Ewok :)

Agreed. The coveralls and the droid tools and restraining bolts are for the job. Depending on the slicing tools it might be for general use.

Re: OOC

How much for a licensed BlasTech DL-22 blaster pistol? It costs 500 credits and availability is rated 1, F, R or X.

In reply to Zenna Kern (msg # 55):

as said a heavy blaster pistol is 1500 creds I have it listed in the main source book as 2 R or X
the DL 18 is 1, F, R, or X and that is 500 if you wait for the permit and 750 if you want to skip the wait time.

This is a blaster pistol, not a heavy blaster pistol. (Gundark's Fantastic Technology, Pg 26)

OH I think I understand. So we pay the original 500 and double that to get it licensed. And half that for a forgery? Or simply risk it all with an unlicensed blaster at 500 credits?

If Zenna is wishing to buy a heavy blaster pistol, should that not be under personal expenses and not group?

Blaster pistol, not heavy. And I agree that I should use personal expenses for weapons and equipment.

Thanks. I'll take the 550 credits expense and consider this part of the original equipment at startup. Got enough for the blaster and a holster :)

Re: OOC

Funny thing is that you can conceal a blaster, but not a heavy blaster. So the blaster is the route that she'll go.

In reply to Zenna Kern (msg # 61):

Any original equipment is at cost price out of the book. You all start with 600 creds of equipment this is at cost price from the book.

Anything else you need to go and buy you will find the prices vary system to system, planet to planet, eg an old blaster carbine in 900 credits here(1F) where as if you try to buy it on a core world it is roughly 4000-6000 credits 2X.

Also as you travel world to world check what is restricted or illegal avoid being seen carrying any of your equipment that is illegal.

Re: OOC

We have 2K in front money.

Split between the six of us that is three hundred each.

With two hundred left over.

We can use that to cover 5 commlinks (125), 3 sets of coveralls (15) and 2 restraining bolts (50) with 20 credits left over.

Kal will spend his 300 on droid repair tools.

That leaves you all 300 credits each.

If you want a big purchase perhaps one of the others can front you the money from their split.
