Adventure - The Precarious Path
Leaping through the Chapel Hollow doorway, Nox and Neru came to the aide of the collapsing portal they had found. A brick road hung precariously above nothingness, its edges crumbling away moment by moment and the entire path threatening to dissolve into nothingness which would leave the doorway just another dead relic. With so few resources at their disposal every advantage had to be saved!

Underfoot the bricks had a slight give to them, like they were suspended in water. It was unsettling given how solid brick normally should be. The path at the moment was roughly two shoulder widths wide, but was steadily shrinking. Stabilizing it would be the first matter.

But not the only one.

Standing on the pathway there was several other potentialities flickering around the edges of the consuming nothingness. Some of these could also be saved. But all of it would come at a cost. The gods had little in the way of resources to spend, other than their own bodies and wits, they were destitute. So this would be a price of blood, for even a greatly diminished god still possessed power. This would not be a challenging endeavor, but a costly one nonetheless and its cost also meant that the Divine would be more vulnerable in their upcoming adventures till they had time to recover.

Payment in Blood
Note: All the costs listed below can be shared amongst participants unless noted otherwise.

Stabilize the Path - The Way already existed, it wanted to exist, salvaging it would be a simple matter to salvage it.
Cost: 2hp

Widen the Way - While the path was comfortable enough to walk at this time, it was too narrow to accommodate anything more than foot travel. It could be widened to allow vehicles to safely traverse this bridge of nothingness.
Cost: 3hp

Solidify the Way - Walking a path that hung over a Void was a nerve wracking experience, a slip meant finding out first hand what lay below. Plus there was also the possibility that something could climb back out of that Void. For a price the world around the path could be hardened, turned into a tunnel of stone rather than left as an endless abyss.
Cost: 4hp

Lock and Key - At the far end of the path was another portal that led elsewhere, it ensured that the Chapel Hollow was not a desert island but instead a reclusive retreat. However, that portal also meant others could steal through... unless it was secured. It would not be an easy task and it would not be foolproof, but it would prevent others from stumbling inside by mere happenstance.
Cost: 5hp to seal the portal
Cost: 1hp (per god) to create a key allow them access.

Self-Determination - At this time the far end of the portal connected to a seeming wasteland. This could be left as it was, but the gods also sensed other locales to which they could redirect the portal if they so choose.
Bustling City - One of the options felt urban, lively, metropolitan, a large city that smelled of magic and steel.
Quiet Doldrums - Another option felt... gray, it smelled of stale coffee and sounded like bored conversation, but a breeze of potential wafted through, a promise of many more gateways.
Hellfire - The last option reeked of sulfur and violence, it carried echoes of screams and battle. Hell for some, Valhalla for those who craved action.
Cost: 4hp to redirect to any of these

OOC: At least one post of conversation should come before jumping to selecting any of the options! There is urgency here, but you have a moment to weigh your options and the costs associated!

Adventure - The Precarious Path
Neru skipped along the unstable bricks of the dissolving path, as if he was playing an imaginary hopscotch game. When he reached "ciel", he jumped one last time and turned around mid air, facing Nox as he landed.

"I like this place. Do you want to make it permanent? We could stabilize the path, solidify it, and lock it so only us two can go through it. I guess we can invite Abethur aswell... what do you think?"

Proposing to take: Stabilize the Path - Cost: 2hp
Solidify the Way - Cost: 4hp
Lock and Key - Cost: 5hp to seal the portal
Cost: 1hp (per god) to create a key allow them access.

Total: 13 hp (7 Neru, 6 Nox) (Note: I have a minor defense skill, so I'm fine with taking the extra point)

Nox nodded.

"I agree with you on this. And Abethur can come too, but only if he pays a blood price like us. I barely have enough blood for myself." Nox replied as he looked around.

OOC: Basically Abethur if you're coming, come now lol!

"That aside, this place would definitely be worth preserving. And by the way playground king...my eyes of darkness see hidden potential too. It will take a lot more blood, but we could make this a dual path. It could be a resource for later planar exploration. This chapel seems relatively safe and having safe paths under our control could really help us later. I'd like to add a counter-proposal." he continued.

Proposal

Stabilize the Path - Cost: 2hp
Solidify the Way - Cost: 4hp
Lock and Key - Cost: 5hp to seal the portal
Cost: 1hp (per god) to create a key allow them access.
Revealed By Nox: Dual Path - Another path could be branched off from this main brick road, at its end another portal gate would wait. For the time being it would be inert, but it could be attuned to another realm and would provide greater mobility in traveling.
Cost: 5hp

Total cost: 18 hp (I propose you take 9 damage and I take 9 damage for obvious reasons! If Abethur comes, the cost is 19 with his key and then Neru 7 Nox 6 Abethur 6)

"Hmmm... Getting hurt is an unavoidable part of dangerous games, but getting too hurt would be a bad idea. Specially when there is things like the snake prodding around. Is there no choice but acting now?"

For Talon, are this options something we need to take right away? Or could be pick the more immediately necessary for protection now, and expand later on? If the later, I'm thinking we can postpone the Dual Path until we can actually buy a portal to put at the end of it.

So the gods bled.

Neru spends 7 hp
Nox spends 6 hp
Abethur spends 6 hp

It was an exhausting ordeal, with their spilled power the empty void around the pathway solidified into rugged stone. The path underfoot became solid and lots its spongy quality. The doorway they had stepped through also took on a more solid quality as a glowing white rune materialized on its front, a divine lock to ensure that no stray souls wandered into the Chapel. A glowing white shard of crystal now sitting by the door served as its key. Then there was another feature. It was subtle, but another path had also appeared, a side passage that wound downwards and deeper into the newly formed earth. It ended abruptly for now, but that dead end was only waiting to be transformed into another gateway.

At the far end of the salvaged road a portal now stood waiting.

But perhaps of more importance were the Aspects that their efforts had freed.

Aspects Available

OOC: These Aspects are unlike normal ones, they are not first come first serve, multiple gods may choose the same Aspect if they so desire.

Renewed Vigor: Through hardship comes strength they say, in this case literally. Through such an ordeal they would be shaken for now, but they would come away stronger.
Stat: +1 to the stat of the gods choice

Getting Back Into Practice: Willing earth and physics to the form of their desire was good practice. It flexed abilities they hadn't been sure they still possessed. A good start to regaining something greater.
Inspiration: +10% Inspiration Advancement

Charitable Soul: There were flickers of power hanging about that would polarize to whoever collected them becoming useless to that person, but making for a valuable gift.
Shards: Shards of Enlightenment (3) - Gives 5% Inspiration advancement to whoever receives them.

Thread of Fire: There was still a line of power hanging invisibly in the air, it stank of hellfire, its edge was serrated and burned. This thread of potential led out along the newly solidified path, it promised pain and violence to whoever was bold enough to trace its path.
Adventure Hook: Promises an adventure of action and violence with similarly themed rewards.

Adventure - The Precarious Path
Paying the price in blood, Neru endured the pain of giving his self away in exchange of saving the path that would undoubtedly lead to many adventures in the future. It was a small price to pay. He would have been happy with simply achieving that goal, but fate decided to reward him with something extra. After finishing the ordeal, Neru felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders, along with the sacrificed health. He felt more nimble, which was not a great improvement considering his previous state after the cataclysm, but still an important first step into achieving a meaningful change.

Renewed Vigor: +1 to Finesse

Nox sighed after the bleeding was done. It was less a physical thing and more one metaphsycial, although still messy all the same. He watched as their divine essence spilled out onto the floor tiles of the place and then spilled into the abyss below, before dissipating into motes of light before vanishing as the path became a solid thing and not a void construct. But that much release of power all at once held certain benefits, and it caused a bit his own power to stir once again.

Renewed Vigor claimed. +1 to Finesse.

Adventure - The Precarious Path
Abethur appeared in the crumbling world, perhaps less unsettled than the others. Brick and air were only as solid or as ephemeral as they needed to be. All substances were constantly in a state of flux in his previous Realm and the fluidity of the ground was more familiar and comforting than upsetting or disturbing.

Still he could feel the powers at play within the world and as his comrades, if they could be considered such things, shed blood to the Realm so did he. He was displeased with the changes, the new found solidity and determinism of the realm but understood it was a matter of stability and longevity rather than personal desire. No if he wished for his personal desires to be exacted once more he would need to regain his powers.

Abethur claims Getting Back into Practice.

So the way has been secured.

OOC: Moving the players back into the Chapel to continue mingling.
