Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
Vatapi fired off three rays of frost toward the Orb to his south, then his form shimmered out of visibility with another spell. Unseen, he flew up towards the ceiling to prepare his next volley, and also for the return of the titan he'd witnessed earlier.

OOC:
Swift: Quickened Scorching Ray (cold damage): Touch AC 35, 43, 40 for 15, 18, 17 cold damages
Standard: Greater Invisibility (20 rds)
Move: Fly to O19 and as high as I can get (probably 40' this round)

09:59, Today: Vatapi rolled 35,43,40 using 1d20+28,1d20+28,1d20+28.  Ranged Touch Attacks.
09:59, Today: Vatapi rolled 15,18,17 using 4d6,4d6,4d6.  Cold Damage.

OOC:

Immediate Action Response to Flame Wave

Immediate action: Beat the Clock maneuver to avoid being hit by the Flame Wave and becoming prone.

Standard Action from 'Beat the Clock': move up to 50', to a spot that escapes the Flame Wave.  If possible this spot would also keep the Orb he's already attacked within 50' of his reach, and ideally, within 50' of the other Orb as well.

If he succeeds in finding a spot, he will only have taken 11pts of fire damage (13 - 2 regeneration) and is not prone.

quote:
Beat the Clock
Discipline: Riven Hourglass (Counter); Level: 7
Prerequisites: Two Riven Hourglass maneuvers
Initiation Action: 1 immediate action
Range: Personal

Duration: Instant

DESCRIPTION

You briefly accelerate your personal timeframe, acting so fast that you appear to be a blur. You can initiate this counter to immediately take a standard action, as if you had readied an action. You cannot gain more than one standard action per round this way.

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
ROUND 2

Vatapi was rather surprised by the violent greeting after he had just entered the cathedral again, being bombarded with fire from all sides. And even though he failed to withstand both curses, his innate resistance to fire helped him to come out of these attacks without suffering to much harm. His three cold-based magical rays found their target without fail as well, but the comparatively weak potency of his spell was not quite enough to damage the second orb to a greater degree.

Rhum was quick to follow up on the groundwork that Vatapi had just laid and his draconic form assaulted the closer orb with all the natural weapons at his disposal, leaving deep gouge marks with claws and teeth in the crystalline surface of the floating construct.

Tartach, found you a position from where you are still within the reach of both orbs at once.

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
Tartach made efforts to cut the number of foes facing them in half, by targeting the orb he'd already attacked with a devastating strike.  Thrashing out with one of his elongated spiked chains, the chain devil makes contact with such force that he wouldn't be surprised if it simply exploded from the impact.

OOC:

NOTE: I already used Time Thief's Talons this encounter and have not recovered it.  I will apply the roll for it to a use of the strike 'Final Blow' instead.

Free: Lady's Gambit (-20 hp; +10 to attack, +10 to damage for 1 round)

Free: Sense Motive vs DC 20 (with a +73 sense motive check I'll assume autosuccess; I'm also assuming it is less than 25% of its max hit points.  if this check determines otherwise, I request the right to change his attack to something other than 'Final Blow'.

Standard Action (gained from 'God of the Hourglass' stance): target a "Final Blow" strike attack against the more damaged Conflagration Orb.

22:03, Today: Tartach rolled 46 using 1d20+43.  Time Thief's Talons Attack vs AC 41.

22:22, Today: Tartach rolled 69 using 4d6+58.  Time Thief's Talons damage (19 + 10 + 23 + 40). (note: accidentally hit roll dice before changing roll description to Final Blow Damage)

Provided more damaged orb is under 25% of max he suffers a critical hit dealing 69 damage and if not already dead, must make a Fortitude save vs DC 79 (10 + damage from critical hit) or die.

quote:
Final Blow
Discipline: Scarlet Throne (Strike); Level: 6
Prerequisite(s): 2 Scarlet Throne maneuvers
Initiation Action: 1 standard action
Range: Melee attack
Target: One creature
Duration: Instant

DESCRIPTION

Mercy has a place on the battlefield, a disciple of Scarlet Throne understands, as does the benefit of an honorable and swift death. By showing his enemy a merciful, swift death in battle, the disciple may continue to his next victory while letting both keep their honor. The disciple makes a melee attack against an injured foe, and if the attack is successful and the foe is under 25% of his maximum hit points, the attack is treated as a coup de grace that is performed as part of that attack action instead of the full-round action usually required. This does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The attack does damage as a critical hit, and the foe must make a Fortitude save with a DC equal to 10 + the damage inflicted or die. If the foe is above 25% of his maximum hit points, then this maneuver has no effect and normal damage is rolled. Disciples with this maneuver readied have a keen sense of their enemyís condition, and may make a Sense Motive check as a free action (DC 20) to gauge if their opponent is eligible to be finished by this maneuver.

quote:
God of the Hourglass Stance
Discipline: Riven Hourglass (Stance); Level: 8
Prerequisites: Three Riven Hourglass maneuvers
Initiation Action: 1 swift action
Range: Personal
Target: Self
Duration: Stance

DESCRIPTION

Your control over your own time-stuff allows you to isolate your Hourglass from reality, causing you to move with unparalleled speed and grace and affording you protection from those who would manipulate your quintessence. While you maintain this stance, you are immune to the slow spell and similar effects, and you cannot become fatigued or exhausted. You can always act during a surprise round, even if youíre caught unaware, and if an ally or opponent uses a time stop spell or similar effect while you are within 50 feet of them you can take a single standard action during the duration of that spell or effect. In addition, you may take an additional move or standard action during your turn.

Once I know the outcome of this attack (or whether I need to change it, if by chance I'm mistaken as to it's being currently reduced to 25% of max HP or less) I will provide the remainder of his round of actions.

ROUND 2

Tartach's first attack with one of his massive black iron chains had indeed the desired effect, smashing into the crumbling orb with devastating effect and causing it to detonate quite literally in a final fiery conflagration, fortunately only engulfing Kiur in its wake.

Kiur must make a DC 35 Reflex saving throw, taking 83 (53 after resist) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage (26) on a successful one.

Waiting for Kiur!

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
Adrenaline coursed through Tartach as he obliterated one of the Conflagration Orbs.  With it, and the threat it posed, out of the way, the Chain Devil turned his full fury onto the remaining Orb with a seemingly endless litany of strikes from his barbed body chains.

OOC: I messed up some of the attack labels and modifiers (which you might notice in the die roller logs).  I've PM'ed the GM with the corrections, the following is a summary of those corrected results).

1st attack results = 148 damage

Dancing Chain 1 hits for 36 damage   (Attack 49 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 2 hits for 35 damage   (attack 57 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 3 hits for 37 damage   (attack 60 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 4 hits for 40 damage   (attack 47 vs AC 41)

2nd attack results = 147 damage

Dancing Chain 1 hits for 39 damage   (Attack 43 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 2 hits for 36 damage   (attack 42 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 3 hits for 35 damage   (attack 43 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 4 hits for 37 damage   (attack 56 vs AC 41)

3rd attack results = 109 damage

Dancing Chain 1 hits for 40 damage   (Attack 41 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 2 hits for 33 damage   (attack 47 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 3 misses               (attack 34 vs AC 41 = critical miss)
Dancing Chain 4 hits for 36 damage   (attack 51 vs AC 41)

4th attack results = 73 damage + 35 critical damage = 108

Dancing Chain 1 hits for 39 damage  (Attack 43 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 2 hits for 34 damage  (attack 48 vs AC 41 = critical hit) + 35 damage for critical hit
Dancing Chain 3 misses              (attack 39 vs AC 41)
Dancing Chain 4 misses              (attack 31 vs AC 41)

Max damage for this set of attacks = 512 (148 + 147 + 109 + 108)

OOC: Move to and attack the remaining orb. Hits AC 52 for 39 dmg

13:16, Today: Kiur Valerian rolled 52 using 1d20+42.  Greatsword Attack 1 chg.

13:17, Today: Kiur Valerian rolled 39 using 2d6+34.  Greatsword Damage.

ROUND 2

Before Kiur could even get to the second floating orb, Tartach had already taken care of that one as well, his many whirling chains destroying more and more of the crystalline structure of the construct until eventually, just as mere moments before, the whole flaming sphere exploded in a violent reaction. The resulting fiery shockwave rolled over Rhum, who paid it no mind, thanks to his draconic immunity to all fire-based attacks.

The few remaining crystal shards clattered to the ground, still bleeding red-hot fire, but besides this sound, silence fell over the partially destroyed cathedral.

Waiting for the return of the titan?

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
A satisfied smile rolled on Vatapi's face as Tartach demolished the remaining orb of fire. "While we have a few moments, if anyone can ward others from fire once more, I think we should use the lull to do so." Vatapi's invisible voice said from up in the air as he flew towards the far end of the Cathedral. While he flew the chanting of a spell can be heard and identified by others as a spell to now make Vatapi immune to damage from fire himself. "We have only a few moments, correct Tartach?"

OOC: I think so! Kiur I'm looking at you with those Energy Immunity spells you have memorized for Tartach and you. Rhum can handle his own in that department and I just cast my own.

Action: Energy Immunity (Fire) 24 hr duration
Move: AB35 and up another 20' if possible.
2nd Round action: Greater Vigor (fast healing 4 for 30 rds) on myself.

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
As the second conflagration orb exploded, Tartach did not flinch nor turn away, but rather allowed the flaming debris to flow over him, finding satisfaction in the burns received as a result of having done so.

He then moved to where he'd been standing when the Fire Titan had been sent away from this Plane, while at the same time he healed the minor wounds

In response to Vatapi, Tartach replied:

"It all depends.  If its will is strong enough, it will return in but a handful of moments.  If not, it will be stuck in the Astral Plane for an hour and will need to have some means of returning to the Material Plane of it's own volition.  I recommend we prepare for its immediate return, just in case."

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
Rhum closed his eyes as the fire washed over him, even if he was impervious to its burns. The blast had been massive, and he could only imagine what it would have done if he hadnt been able to withstand its heat.

"I think Im gonna keep my dragon form. I dont know how effective it will be against that titanious giant if he returns, but at least he cant burn my hide," the shifter snickered.

The dragon move abit to get a better headstart if or when the enormous giant reappeared.
"Im sorry Vatapi, but I cant help with any form of fire spells. I was never that good with magicks anyway."

OOC: If possible, move to a place about 40 feet from where the fire giant will reappear, and if time after that, a ready action to charge?
My Travel Devotion lasts 10 rounds, so hopefully I will be able to use it once if the giant returns.

SURPRISE ROUND

The towering fire titan returned from the Astral Plan only some half a minute later or so, reappearing with a thoroughly confused and astounded expression of being transported back to the interior of the cathedral from the endless expanse of the Silver Sea. His massive flaming sword was still gripped in one hand, and his demeanor shifted very quickly to a burning fury as he spotted the kyton standing not far from him, the source of his sudden dismissal.

Let me know if any of you had prepared anything else in the remaining seven round before combat resumes, or if you wanted to start from a different spot than currently noted on the map.

Be mindful that this is a very challenging foe! You have several advantages now (knowledge of the main source of damage and a way to reduce/negate it, as well as a surprise round), but don't go ahead and think that winning this battle is a foregone conclusion. Fire Titans have a CR that is already well into the epic tier, so no complaining if he might still kick your butt! :)

Kiur, before the arrival of the fire titan, will have cast Energy Immunity (extended, fire) on himself and on Tartach, and extended mass shield of faith on the whole party; he will also have activated a Holy Star, setting it to the Protection setting. Upon the arrival of the fire titan, he began his battle dance, cutting into the giant with his radiant blade.

OOC:
Tartach and Kiur are immune to fire for the next two days (talk about overpreparing; i only had the extended version prepared LOL)
Kiur gains a +6 circumstance bonus to his AC for the first 3 rounds of combat. Everyone gains a +5 deflection to AC for the next hour. And then, Kiur will blow a smite evil on the first attack of his full round swing.
My strength is up by 6, so +3 to all those rolls; and I crit on the first attack!
But all but 1 of the others missed.

12:31, Today: Kiur Valerian rolled 43 using 2d6+34.  Greatsword Damage. (46)

12:31, Today: Kiur Valerian rolled 52 using 2d6+46.  Greatsword Damage. (110 due to crit)

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
Vatapi thinks to himself and then flies down quickly before the creature returned, "gather near and I will enhance you a bit before he returns. After that I will summon a sphere of darkness  where he should return, do not touch it."

As the titan reappeared wreathed in flame, he summoned the shadows and called forth what coalesced into a ball of freezing ice that he flung at the titan's exposed back.

OOC: Ok... bear with me!

7 prep rounds:
  • Cloud Wings: +30' fly speed to Vatapi (20 hours; total of 140' with haste right now)
  • Move to get everyone in range of first two spells
  • Sphere of Ultimate Destruction: move action to hit a creature, Fort save DC 32; Fail = 40d6 damage; Save = 5d6 damage (per Disintegrate; 15/20 rounds when titan returns).
  • Aura of Vitality - everyone gets +4 Morale Bonus to Str, Dex, & Con. So +2 to Hit/Dam, +2 to AC/Refl, +2 hit points/Fort (16/20 rounds when titan returns)
  • Haste - everyone gets: +1 attack, dodge bonus to AC/Refl, all movement is +30', 1 extra melee attack (17/20 rounds when titan returns)
  • Move back to map position

Surprise Round:
Action: Cast Greater Shadow Evocation (Freezing Sphere); Will DC 32 or 60%, Reflex DC 32 for half damage; Fail= 64 (38) cold; Save = 32 (19) cold damage
 - dmg in () = save on the initial Will save; if he's cold vulnerable double all those #'s
Move: Direct Sphere to strike the fire giant; Fort DC 32 Fail = 143 untyped dmg; Success = 15 untyped dmg; if either drops him to 0 hp he is disintegrated per that spell

09:26, Today: Vatapi rolled 143,15 using 40d6,5d6.  Sphere of Ultimate Destruction - Surprise Fail/Save. (it rolled twice for some reason when I hit roll, so I'm using the 1st result here)
09:26, Today: Vatapi rolled 64 using 15d6.  Grt. Shadow Evocation (Freezing Sphere) - Surprise.

SURPRISE ROUND

Before the titan could anything than look in anger down upon Tartach, was Kiur already in motion. His greatsword cut deeply into the trunk-like armored leg of the enormous opponent, causing the giant to involuntarily flinch away slightly at the unaccustomed sensation of pain.

Vatapi was only partially effective with his elaborate plan, with both his deadly sphere of absolute darkness and the ice-cold shadows that writhed up and around the titan having not as much impact on this enemy as he had hoped for.

Does anyone gain an actual AC increase through the +5 deflection from Kiur?

The Fire Titan makes all of his saves, succeeding on the Fort save against the Sphere, as well as on the Will and Reflex save against the Freezing Sphere!

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival

The dragon made a soft hiss and mumbled "Damn.. you are big" before moving into melee with fire titan.
With a blurring frenzy, Rhum lashed out with all he could muster, hoping to ram the mighty titan as he was still suffering from the temporary disorientation after plane shifting back.
Magically enhanced with a greater speed then he was used to, the dragon managed to land a solid blow with his tail.
Overly eager by his previous luck, Rhum tried to copy that attack, but almost tangled himself as he lashed out a second time with his whip of a tail.

SURPRISE ROUND

Rhum threw his massive body into the fray as well, assaulting the gigantic form of the fire titan with all the natural weapons available to him as a gold dragon, managing to score several hits all in all.

Seeing as you guys have to wait for Tartach now anyway, I think we can just tackle your actions for round 1 as well now. The titan goes last, so all the PCs will have another turn worth of actions before he can react. Tartach can then just make two turns in a row.

Waiting for Tartach!

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
The Fire Titan looked as if it could take a fair amount of physical damage and likely had some pretty decent defenses against such attacks.  Tartach decided to take a different approach.  He attacked it with a series of strikes designed to attack its very personality and if he succeeded it would be forced to withdrawn into a catatonic, coma-like stupor and would no longer be a threat to them.

OOC:

SURPRISE ROUND

Free: Lady's Gambit (-20 HP; +10 attack, +10 damage)

Standard: Unending Nightmare Strike (Charisma damage) deals 14 points of charisma damage with no save (4 from Unending Nightmare Strike + 10 from Lady's Gambit)

free: expend Break the Hourglass (9th level maneuver) to spontaneously initiate Unending Nightmare Strike (8th level maneuver and one of his dark focus discipline maneuvers)

Standard (gained from God of the Hourglass stance): Unending Nightmare Strike (Charisma damage) deals 14 points of charisma damage with no save (4 Unending Nightmare Strike + 10 from Lady's Gambit)

Swift: use 'Dark Claim' ability to Claim the Fire Titan (recover 2 expended maneuvers with Grasp of Darkness feat; recover Unending Nightmare Strike and Break the Hourglass)

Note: the Fire Titan takes 4 additional charisma damage at the beginning of every turn there after, a Will save vs DC 24 ends this additional charisma damage.

23:42, Today: Tartach rolled 56 using 1d20+46.  attack 1 vs AC 54.
   - hits AC 54

23:42, Today: Tartach rolled 53 using 1d20+46.  attack 2 vs AC 54.
   - misses AC 54; attempt Commanding Presence

23:44, Today: Tartach rolled 53 using 1d20+46.  reroll attack 2 using Commanding Presence.
   - misses AC 54

ROUND 1

Free: Lady's Gambit (-20 HP; +10 attack, +10 damage)

Standard: Unending Nightmare Strike (Charisma damage) deals 14 points of charisma damage with no save (4 from Unending Nightmare Strike + 10 from Lady's Gambit)

free: expend Break the Hourglass (9th level maneuver) to spontaneously initiate Unending Nightmare Strike (8th level maneuver and one of his dark focus discipline maneuvers)

Standard (gained from God of the Hourglass stance): Unending Nightmare Strike (Charisma damage) deals 14 points of charisma damage with no save (4 Unending Nightmare Strike + 10 from Lady's Gambit)

23:47, Today: Tartach rolled 57 using 1d20+46.  attack 3 vs AC 54.
  - hits AC 54 for 14 charisma damage
23:47, Today: Tartach rolled 51 using 1d20+46.  attack 4 vs AC 54.
  - misses AC 54

SUMMARY:
surprise round = Tartach deals 14 points of Charisma damage to the Fire Titan
round 1 = Tartach deals 14 points of Charisma damage to the Fire Giant
also, Tartach has inflicted 40 pts of damage upon himself using Lady's Gambit

quote:
A Harbinger may expend a readied maneuver to spontaneously initiate any maneuver he knows from his dark focus disciplines that is one or more levels lower than the expended maneuver, regardless of whether or not he has the dark focus maneuver readied. The initiation action of the spontaneously initiated maneuver is unchanged.

quote:
In order for the harbinger to recover maneuvers, she must tap into her sorcerous malice by activating her dark claim class feature; the harbinger recovers a single expended maneuver whenever she Claims a creature, AND she recovers a number of expended maneuvers equal to her harbinger initiation modifier (minimum 2) whenever a creature she has Claimed is reduced to 0 or less hit points. Alternately, the harbinger may concentrate on her inner negativity and recover a single maneuver as a standard action.

quote:
Grasp of Darkness (Combat)
Your malicious intentions can ensnare many at once.

Prerequisites: Dark claim class feature.

Benefit: When you use your dark claim class feature to Claim a creature, you recover two expended maneuvers rather than one, and can Claim two additional opponents within close range.

quote:
Unending Nightmare Strike
Discipline: Cursed Razor (Strike); Level: 8
Prerequisites: Three cursed razor maneuvers
Initiation Action: 1 standard action
Range: Melee attack
Target: One creature
Duration: Instant

DESCRIPTION

This cruel and unusual strike traps its victims in a waking nightmare. Make a melee attack. If it hits, it deals weapon damage as normal plus 4 points of damage to the targetís Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. At the beginning of each of your turns thereafter, the target must succeed at a Will save (DC 18 + your initiation modifier) or take an additional 4 points of damage to its Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. A successful save or the creatureís death ends this effect.

quote:
Lady's Gambit

Prerequisite: Base attack bonus +6, Iron Will, Power Attack.
Benefit: You may sacrifice a number of hit points (maximum sacrifice equals your character level), taking them from your current hit point total as if you had lost them to damage. For every two hit points so sacrificed, you gain a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls for i round. Hit points sacrificed in this manner may be regained in the same way that hit points lost to damage can.
Special: Using this feat is a free action, but you may use it only once per round on your turn.

Aura of Vitality - everyone gets +4 Morale Bonus to Str, Dex, & Con. So +2 to Hit/Dam, +2 to AC/Refl, +2 hit points/Fort (16/20 rounds when titan returns)
Haste - everyone gets: +1 attack, dodge bonus to AC/Refl, all movement is +30', 1 extra melee attack (17/20 rounds when titan returns)

Note: added +2 to attack roll from AoV and +1 to attack from haste

NOTE: do you want me to continue posting pertinent information/mechanics in my OOC's to explain his actions taken? or do you find it cluttering up the game thread too much.  If there is some other way you'd like it done, let me know.  I am just trying to keep you from having to scour my character sheet to confirm the mechanics.

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
Kiur, who had fought alongside Tartach before, recognized this particular move of Tartach's, which could weaken a target's mind and render it vulnerable to forms of attack to which it would normally be resistant.

As such, his next move was to take one hand off his sword, and shout something in an angry voice. He then thrust his hand into the giant's leg, and there was the sound of something rushing through the air accompanied by a flash of bluish light.

OOC: Kiur will cast Greater Bestow Curse. Fire giant titan needs a Will Save DC 27 (After the DC 34 Will save to avoid being shaken) to avoid his CON score being reduced to 1.
Before casting the spell, he will Tumble (cannot fail the check with his modifier) to move out of the Giant's reach to avoid provoking any opportunity attacks; he then holds onto the touch attack until he is within reach.

19:49, Today: Kiur Valerian rolled 44 using 1d20+35.  Melee Touch Attack.

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival

The fire titan would probably unleash his wrath any second now, so Rhum started fighting abit more defencively. Covering his vital parts with wings and movement alike, his attacks became easier for the titan to evade, and thus the dragon was not able to land a single blow towards their gargantuan foe.

Using improved combat expertise to fight defencively, -10 to attacks and +10 to ac.

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
Vatapi smile as he recognized the spell Kiur had just cast on the creature.

If it didn't save, it was not long for this world or any other.

He directed his sphere to crash into the giant again and then he fired of a ray of thin green light that struck the titan square in the side of its shoulder.

He trusted in his invisibility and potent defense to keep him safe.

OOC:
Move action: direct the sphere into the Titan
 - Fort save 33 for Sphere; Success = 17 points of disintegrate damage; Failure = 146 points of disintegrate
Standard action: cast disintegrate! ranged touch attack of 35
 - Fort save 30; Success = 22 points of disintegrate damage; Failure = 151 points of disintegrate damage

Note: if any of those damages on a save or failure, drops him to 0 then he is disintegrated, leaving only equipment.

15:09, Today: Vatapi rolled 35,151,22 using 1d20+31,40d6,5d6.  Disintegrate spell.
15:05, Today: Vatapi rolled 146 using 40d6.  Sphere damage.

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
ROUND 1

Tartach had not as much success with his nightmare-inducing attempts as he hoped for, with the potent defense of the titan preventing the kyton from reducing his enemy to nothing more than a mindless husk. But still, the effects were clearly visible, as the eyes of the towering warrior rolled back in his head and he started to drool uncontrollably, suffering a heavy loss to his mental capabilities.

Mere moments later Kiur took full advantage of the titan's new state, delivering a devastating curse that severely weakened the fire giant further. His knees buckled and the titan almost crashed to the ground as the curse took hold, wavering unsteadily on his armored feet.

Vatapi's sphere of annihilation was now also able to do what it was designed for, as the titan was unable to resist the destructive effects of the magic any longer and part of his back was simply eradicated, causing the giant to bellow loudly in agony. This was followed by the same type of purely anti-life based energy as Vatapi cast another spell, disintegrating even more parts of the titan's weakened body.

The titan had not much intellect left anymore, and his entire world was filled with nothing but searing pain. No coherent thought went into his next action, as he heaved himself up from his knees, staggered back a couple of steps, let out another cry and wrath and suffering, then swept the massive sword in a wide arc in front of him. But his hand-eye coordination and focus were completely gone and the potentially lethal attack swept over the heads of Kiur, Tartach and even the draconic form of Rhum.

Posting this update under the assumption that the -8 is the correct amount of ability damage.

Wow, starting off the round of saves for the titan with a 6, a 4 and a 3...followed by a natural 1 on the attack roll...grand!

The Fire Titan loses 560 HP due to the Con reduction!

The whole party is up next!

Re: Part I - Founderís Day Festival
It wasn't hard to tell that the Fire Titan had been gravely wounded so Tartach simply made a full attack with his chains as there didn't seem to be much need to finesse the endgame with the use of maneuvers and the like.  Unfortunately its defenses were strong and allowed less than half of his chain strikes to find their mark.
