I didn't roll my Stat exactly.  my Firepower is 9.  Downdraft rolled 8 using 2d6 ((6,2)).  It also burns.

Your attack hits the large mercenary square in his back, but it doesn't seem to do much as he rolls to one side. Growing in pain, he looks up to see the seaplane above him. Quickly a minicon leaps out of his chest as he transforms into a missile launcher truck. A large gleaming missile aims at Downdraft and fires.

Beachcomber moves closer in his alt mode to the other side of the mercenary. Ready to cut him off in case he makes a move towards the turtles. Beachcomber moves his full movement for his turn and is ready to attack next.

Roll an Endurance roll vs 6 damage. Roll vs your endurance to avoid the damage. You didn't say your shield was up, so no reduction of damage from it. You are heatproof, so you won't take burn from the missile

First things first, because of the matreial of my hull (a technology I can't remember the name of) I get to roll the best of 3d6 and add it to my hp at the beginning of any combat.  The 3d6 are Downdraft rolled 8 using 3d6 ((2,1,5)).  Of those, the best two are a 2 and a 5 giving me +7hp
Downdraft rolled 1 using 1d10 with rolls of 1  With a Endurance of 9.

You are able to resist 1 point of damage, thus taking only 3. It's 3 because you were hit with a Ground to Air missile which subtracts one damage when used against the wrong target. No sense in changing this as it was my error in the first place for misreading.

Downdraft pulls up and back, clearing the tops of the trees, and pulling towards the ocean, "Come on chomedome, you're not even worth calling a Decepticreep.  Come get me!" Downdraft taunts as he pulls away.

Also as he flies away, he activates his force field.

Doubledealer scowls at the obvious taunt, but, not knowning the Autobot has backup, stille decides to take a shot. The minicon in the vehicle's engine area, jumps out as the mercenary transfoms back into robot mode. Launching into the air, his rifle lands fluidly into his hands as he takes aim to fire.

Beachcomber gets that Downdraft is trying to draw Doubledealer away, so he continues to hold, protecting the delicate turtles. Looking over his shoulder, he notices that most of the reptiles have slipped away with only a single pair of turtles left running from the noise of weapons fire.

Downdraft rolled 4 using 1d10 ((4)).  So I take 3 to my Energon.

My actions depend on if Doubledealer seems to be following me or not.

If Doubledealer is following Downdraft:
Downdraft smiled, his tactic was working.  He was leading the mercenary away from the turtles.

He continued laying down firepower as an incentive to keep following him.

With that, Downdraft will begin flying back and forth, and near and far, trying to get him to come.  He won't fire at the moment as his intentions are to get the merc to start following him.

"You are not part of the contract Autotwit," the mercenary growls as he turns back toward the pod of turtles. He notices that they have all escaped because of the battle that he turns back to Downdraft. "You've cost me 10,000 Shanix for your meddling." The anger quickly drains from his face though as he gets an idea. "You can make it up to me. I have some information I would be willing to sell."

"First, how can I know the information is truthful?  Second it depends on what the information is about, and how much it'll cost, if I'm interested at all."  Downdraft replied to Doubledealer's offer.

"Well," Doubledealer says, "I don't lie, a liar doesn't stay in business very long. It's about who hired me and what they wanted the turtles for. As to what it'll cost you, I'll just ask for a favor one day. What do you say?"

"Fine that should be doable.  I'm sure Beachcomber will want this information as well.  It gives us someone to go after for trying to upset the ecology.  I'll make the trade."

Doubledealer looks about confused until Beachcomber comes up from behind him, his weapon pointed down. "Ah," the merc says, "I see now. Well played Autobots. A research facility run by a Doctor Preston put out the offer. What they want for them is none of my concern nor do I care about giving you his information as he's just a human. My silence is only for our kind, so you two don't have to worry about me telling the doctor of this. I'll send you his location," reaching to his forearm, he waits for permission to link up to your internal communications for direct transfer. As this permission doesn't allow for immediate hacking, this would require direct contact, thus making Bombshell's cerebroshells all the more terrifying, the coordinates are easily shared.

"Now, with our transaction complete, am I free to go?"

Scanning over the information, a picture of an older looking human is displayed along with a research facility that seems to be located on the outskirts of Buenos Ares. Downdraft also notices that there are two unique transponder codes attached to the information. One marked for the Doctor, the other for Doubledealer himself.

"As long as you promise not to take any more jobs that hurt the environment, you're free to go.  As much as I'd like to bring you in to Optimus, this doctor is a more pressing concern." Downdraft replies as he makes note to track Doubledealer's location for as long as possible.

"Now, you coming with me Beachcomber?  To have a friendly chat with the good doctor?"

"I will make no such promise," Doubledealer says with a snear. "As far as I see it, you all didn't even try to determine what I was up to and neither had I actually done anything at that moment. I could make the case that, under the Cybertronian Peace Accords, you firing on me is the illegal act as I am neither Decepticon nor Autobot." He smiles with a bow full of mockery and sarcasm. He then says with a sarcastic growl, "Neutrality has its benefits."

A quick scan of the Accords that are stored in every Cybertronian's hard drive shows that he is technically correct. Even though you could prove that he was trying to do something, without him actually doing anything, he would only get a warning if he was part of the war. Since he's not, the Accords don't actually apply to him. It is defiantly a grey area and one that Optimus might or might not be able to use against him.

"So I suggest you take my free gift and leave me be."

Beachcomber comes up behind the triple changer and looks to Downdraft with concern, as if asking what to do.

"You may be a neutral party, but be glad I'm an Autobot.  Interefering in my interests like you are, if I were a Decepticon, you'd be so much scrap metal.  Get out of here before I decide to break the rules this one time and be more agressive."  Downdraft sneers back at Doubledealer.

Doubledealer laughs as a bat shaped minicon transforms and lands on his back initiating his own transformation into a large hawk. And that's why you will never defeat the Decepticons. You Autobots and your inability to annihilate your opponents, it will be your undoing. Before anything else can be said, Doubledealer launches into the sky and flies away.

Beachcomber comes oever with a sigh of relief, That could have ended badly. Did he give you the information?

"Yeah he gave me the information, and location, of a certain doctor that had hired him.  What say we go visit him and explain to him why you leave nature alone?" Downdraft replied to Beachcomber as he sadly watched Doubledealer fly away.

Do you think we should tell Optimus? Beachcomer asks as they share the information and he gets an idea of where they are going. It's just a human so it shouldn't be to difficult.

"No, let's not tell Optimus.  He'll just tell us to leave the human alone.  We're the only ones that care about nature enough to do something about it, I say we just pay the human a visit.  Maybe tell Optimus afterwards." Downdraft said as he began packing up to leave.

Beachcomber nods though his face has a look of concern, but he says nothing.

The Beachcomber climbs inside Downdraft and the pair fly off to go pay this scientist a visit.
