Still working on my character sheet for the Tech/Weapons portion.  I was a little limited in my availability the other night and couldn't get in the reading yesterday, unfortunately.

Everyone notice the change on the character creation thread under the quick build section, Technology points

Looks like the teams have balanced out, along with wherever Perihelion's loyalties are going to fall.  Are we bringing on any other players or are is it set to be a small roster?

I'll take on as many as are intereste with the hope that there's at the base minimum 4 on each side. This doesn't mean everyone will be on the same squad all the time, but it'll give at least enough to make it interesting and hopefully keep it going enough if anyone disappears

Quick question, for rules clarofication.  When a technology boosts a stat above 10, how do you run that?

You can't go over 10. That's only for chargers like Megatron and Optimus Prime

Okay, so technology that adds +1 or more D to an attribute that is at 10, is useless to take.  Correct?

Also, when you said; "you can use 1 weapon point for 1 technology point or 2 technology points for 1 weapon.", did you mean 1 weapon point for 2 technology points?

That depends. If it goes to a stat, then yes, but for skills, as I'm not sure which tech you're looking at, it will basically give you two rolls when using that skill

Weapon points are mathematically equal to 2 technology points. So, in wanting to incourage their usage, as it's a home rule to help make creation more interesting, those points don't have the same worth when transferred. So it's 1:1 weapon to tech and 2:1 tech to weapon. Hope that clears that up.

Okay.  Thank you.  Do fractions of tech/weapon points round up or down?

Based on the book's formula, they round up to the nearest value.
