Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

I was mistaken – there is one Transformer with a Jaguar car alt-mode: Alternators Ravage, who goes from Jaguar XK to jaguar cat. :D

BTW, while looking at art, this is nice set of funky images, with cars looking like they're mid-transformation, popping up weapons, or appearing in cyberpunk or post-apocalyptic settings.

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

Okay. Last call before we start getting this underway. Other than the new people, who will be added as they finish, if anyone else is ready with their charter and I have NOT started a new PM thread for you, let me know ASAP. Those that don't have this PM that I started will not be in the initial scenario and will have to wait for the next one.

I only see the access request PM thread, if you started one it either didn't work or went away.

As far as I can tell, my character is done, but all I have is the request PM.  If you could let me know what I have left to do then I'll do it.

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

Thanks to you all for being patient with me. There's a fair number of moving parts that I've got to work with which makes it much easier on me to tie everything and everyone together.

Let's have some fun and never be afraid to question something I've done. If you feel I've missed the mark on something or mixed something up, which I'm bound to do eventually, let me know. I'm only human  after all not some giant shape changing robot.

No worries here, I'm still very new to all this.

Is it me, or is Saving never explained in the rules?

It's more opposed rolls than saves.

I had to take my son back to college and I had completely forgotten it. I'll be driving home tomorrow and should have time to post once I get home.

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

So I've just finished the first season of Transformers: Robots in Disguise on Netflix... and find myself highly annoyed that there's only one of three seasons available.  >_<

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

That is annoying.

Though it isn’t the annoying part.

There were 2 seasons (maybe 3?) last year... and I never made it though >.<

Sometimes, I think Netflix is just  messing with us.

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

Tell me about it. When I got back into Transformers last year (because my nephew did, because I introduced him to my old toys, and we basically became fans together), I started watching Prime. Halfway through, Netflix announced it was being withdrawn, so I had to binge the rest. It got week-long reprieves a for bit, but I still missed the last few episodes (found by other means...). Later, I watched Robots in Disguise with my nephew, but we only have one season. Same with Rescue Bots. RID and Cyberverse are on TV, but at terrible times, usually not on the catch-up streaming service, or on but a season ahead. :(

I also missed out on a lot of He-Man and original She-Ra because Netflix yanked them. :(

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

Netflix is hitting the same wall that Pandora did - pioneer fatigue.  Because of their early entry into the business, they had to pay relatively high rates for the licenses for their programming.  As a result, they have a much more difficult time negotiating lower rates from the same distributors for content, despite the proven market, while newer streaming services can take advantage of the technology, infrastructure, and consumer goodwill to enter the same market at lower cost.

Netflix, however, did make a hojillion dollars to allow them to pivot to being a content creator, where Pandora didn't, though...

In reply to Apogee (msg # 108):

So, they hike the price, make their hojillions and are now rich enough to deny us transformers shows? Pfft.

Maybe I should look for their cheaper competitors.

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

Can I transform into robot mode with passengers inside me? Do they remain safely inside but bumped around (like in Prime) or are they ejected (like in the live-action movies) or do they jam up my works? :o Can I easily deposit them some place safe during transformation?

Whatever's convenient?

Now the real question is: what happens if I hug a Human and then transform?  o_o

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

Bumblebee did in the movie and they just kinda spilled out for him to gather in his arms. So I imagine it's like that. I don't think there's room where the seat would have been for a human to sit.

Re: The Cybertronian Web - OCC

Considering we have matter-displacement technology, part of me wants to say a Human passenger could be tucked away in a pocket dimension and thus come out later looking all haunted and dazed.  Sort of a "It was full of stars..." moment.  :3c  But that said, I don't think the tech works on organic matter.

Having just watched Transformers:RiD, I recall Sideswipe transforming back into Bot.Mode while he had the obligatory Human Kid riding in him.  Kid was popped out into the air and Sideswipe caught him in his hands before he could land otherwise.  So I guess it's safe by and large, so long as the Bot in question is actually showing consideration for a passenger.
