Well, based on the disclaimer in the book itself? I wouldn't face any trouble from the developer - Mr. Kerr. Just editing his work for the sake of clarifying its contents without changing them or claiming ownership for any of the source material would generally fall under being a "derivative work" and thus perfectly legal.
