Changling

Standard Racial Traits
***Ability Score Modifiers: Changelings are frail, but are clever and comely. They gain +2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma, –2 Constitution.
Size: Changelings are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Type: Changelings are humanoids with the changeling subtype.
Base Speed: Changelings have a base speed of 30 feet.
Languages: Changelings begin play speaking Common and the primary language of their host society. Changelings with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Aklo, Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Giant, Gnoll, Goblin, and Orc.
Defense Racial Traits

Natural Armor: Changelings have a +1 natural armor bonus.
Offense Racial Traits

Claws: Changelings’ fingernails are hard and sharp, granting them two claw attacks (1d4 points of damage each).
Senses Racial Traits

Darkvision: Changelings see perfectly in the dark up to 60 feet.
Other Racial Traits

A changeling inherits one of the following racial traits, depending on her mother’s hag type:

Pyrophile (Ash Hag): The changeling gains a +1 racial bonus on damage rolls when using spells with the fire descriptor. This bonus increases by 1 for every 4 levels the changeling has beyond 1st. Source PCS:CtIE

Ice Climber (Winter Hag): The changeling gains a +5 racial bonus on Climb checks on icy or slippery surfaces. [JBE:BoHR:AC]

Inscrutable (Blood Hag): The Sense Motive check DC to gain a hunch about the changeling increases by 5. [JBE:BoHR:AC]


Alternate Racial Traits
The following alternate racial traits may be selected in place of one or more of the standard racial traits above. Consult your GM before selecting any of these new options.

Witchborn: Most changelings are talented witches. They gain a +2 bonus to Intelligence and Charisma instead of a +2 bonus to Wisdom and Charisma. This racial trait alters the changeling’s racial ability score modifiers. Source PZO9280

Feat:
Extra hex.

Trait (magic) Two-World Magic.  <create water>
Benefit: Select one 0-level spell from a class spell list other than your own. This spell is a 0-level spell on your class spell list (or a 1st-level spell if your class doesn’t have 0-level spells). For example, if you are a druid, you could select mage hand and thereafter prepare it as a 0-level druid spell; if you are a sorcerer, you could select know direction as a 0-level sorcerer spell known.

Trait (race) Trifler
A childhood spent at your mystically gifted grandmother’s side has taught you the basics of real magic.
Benefit: You may cast prestidigitation three times per day as a spell-like ability. This spell-like ability is cast at your highest caster level; if you have no caster level, it functions at CL 1st.

Trait (religion) Eternal Understanding
Though you haven’t been traditionally educated, you’re blessed with potent observation and discernment.
Benefit(s) You can attempt Knowledge checks with a DC of 15 or lower untrained.

Drawback
Umbral Unmasking
Effect: You cast no shadow whatsoever, or the shadow you do have is monstrous. Under normal lighted conditions, this is not hard to observe—but uncommon to notice. Creatures that succeed at a DC 15 Wisdom check notice it plainly (an additional Perception check may be required based on environmental conditions). This telltale sign of wickedness cannot be concealed by misdirection, nondetection, or illusions, except those that also affect shadows (such as invisibility).
