Hello everyone! Just wanted to drop by and say hello and that I look forward to writing with you all. If anyone wishes to have a backstory with Jonathan, please shoot me a PM. Just as some Hooks... Jonathan often visits the local tavern to gossip and catch up on rumors so he may know Lira. He may try to persuade her to come work at his estate. As for Thomas, they too may have become acquainted. Jonathan has studied Law at Oxford and may (with the GM's permission) act as a barrister. To make sure Thomas and his husband's rights can be maintained/ protected. His estate would be open to both to visit and as a place of refuge.

Hey all! I had a close friend of mine pass last week and I have been in a bit of a funk. Sorry, Angar! I left you kinda hanging but wanted you to know I enjoyed writing with you. Obadiah's last remark basically means if Thomas and his friend want to talk, fine. If not, he will be off.

We had a great day.  The two teens made it to church, helped with Easter egg hiding as they are now the "really big kids," and then to Easter lunch with GF and her family.  Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.

Thank you for your wishes. As I belong to the Greek Orthodox Church, this weekend was Palm Sunday  not Easter, but it was very nice. There was a special service Saturday followed by making crosses out of palm leaves to be distributed Sunday, and the Sunday there was the Palm Sunday service including the blessing and distribution of the palm crosses.

Sorry folks It's been a crazy week and a half with my dau's HS grad and party, followed by work travel, followed by our little community's GeekCon this past week, and now on day two of three of travel.  Oh, then her community college AA grad on Saturday.  Goodness.

I plan to get a post tonight if possible.  Otherwise, tomorrow after I hay my lawn.  ;-)

This is just an observation. The Barnewell Estate folks have been waiting on Barnwell himself He has not logged onto this game in 7 weeks. How long are we suppose to wait on a player who has obviously lost interest. To be honest, I’ve lost interest here. I keep hoping it will revive but really at this point I am at a loss. Consider me no longer wishing to remain here. Thank you all for having me. Goodbye.

I am sorry to lose Henrietta,but I am afraid she has a point. Barnewell was set up as a main character, and if he is gone either he must be played as an NPC or we need to develop an alternative plotline that will include the people on his estate as well as those in the shop.

If we want to start an adventure from the shop, perhaps those in the party there could find in a newspaper or book a reference to occult activity in the area which could lead to an adventure. Before taking the risk of investigating, they could seek more companions such as Angar.

If Barnwell is going to be available as an NPC, perhaps after finding the clue in the shop, the party there could seek Barnwell as a potential sponsor for their expedition. He would probably not actually go along, but he could at least provide an introduction to Angar and anyone else still there who wants to go.

Sorry for the pause - the second graduation is in the books along with a few other things this weekend.  So, trying to find the energy to catch up on anything - this is the more enjoyable of the tasks.

Hey GM and friends, so I took the time to read through the ooc and other threads and it appears we are at an impasse in terms of plot progression. I know there was mention of creating a party from the shop and somehow roping Angar in. I think it’s a great plan. Will Obadiah be reading a text of importance? Or may I also suggest Annie find an article/note stuck on the article she is holding? She’d probably find it curious, even some of it recognizable from her encounters with the odd woman who lives down the road from her but otherwise unimportant. In which case it may be more interesting to Obadiah and Mathias. And it would be more easy to rope Annie into a party without it being fumble-y.

Just a suggestion. I know those of you who are still around have put some months into this and obviously I defer to your better judgement.

Great suggestions.

1. We have a lingering question to the printer about news?
2. Obidiah looking at a new book or broadside?
3. Annie has grabbed a book - it could be wrapped in an older newspaper?

Can't wait for our next clue from the GM.

Hey all! Apologies, it’s been such a crazy time, and unfortunately I’ve been sick myself (not with COVID, but awaiting certain autoimmune and Lyme test results) in all this madness happening in the world. I’ve been starting to feel a little bit better and have better concentration now, I’m planning to draft a post up this week, wondering if anyone else would be in.

Very glad you are better. I will be happy to play on once you are up to continuing. I hope you don't in fact have Lyme disease. My brother had it and it was very nasty.

Glad to hear that you may be on the mend.  Was diagnosed with Lymes after a visit to Virginia...and a tick bite...but was taking a prescription arthritic (Celebrex) that my consulting physician said probably explained why I wasn't having terrible symptoms.  NASTY thing, so I will join in hoping you don't have that.
