In issue #19 of the monthly anthology series Atomic Tales, readers were introduced to the first true superhero on Delta-1’s Silver Age, “Megaton: The Atomic Knight.” Though Atomic Tales was cancelled three issues after this, issue #19 sold so well that Megaton was spun off into his own series with “The Mighty Megaton #1.”
