Name
Players may select a name for their character's, though I reserve the option to decline the use of any name i deem offensive or inappropriate.
Gender
Pretty self explanatory. Though it should be noted, that because of the nature of the campaign, I will accept Male, Female, and Neutral (when appropriate).
Race
My campaigns always a theme that i want to explore, and players that wish to participate in the campaign are required to follow the theme. The theme for this one is that 'Standard/Core' Races will not be used by players.
To be clear, Dwarves, Elves, Gnomes, Halflings, and standard 'Humans' are NOT to be used for player characters.
Instead ... We will use the Advanced Race Guide, Race Builder rules to design a race you find interesting and appropriate.
Link to online resource for these rules ....

I am allowing the players 10 Racial Points, to create 'Standard' Races (You're allowed a maximum of 3 traits per Category and may not use Monsterous Traits)
You may not spend racial points on
Ability Score Modifiers. You have a pick between Human Heritage and Standard.
Racial bonus Feats and Skills, are not allowed, unless you are following an existing race that lists the feat and skills. (ie. Pay double cost for Flexible Feats and Skills, if you are designing a non-standard race)
The limits are there for play balance, you may justify the loss of abilities you might normally have as being immature or young versions of the race or possibly a half breed.
You are encouraged to think outside of the box on this one, though you should keep in mind, I need you to remain party friendly.
Level
Character get experience, and progress in my campaigns. At least that is my standard aspirations. That said, there are some things to note.
As characters EARN levels in the campaign, they get a Level bonus. Starting at a higher level will forfeit all these bonuses.
Level 9th is the Character Level Cap for the campaign.
Characters wont be able to cast spells higher than 3rd level. I have game mechanics in play for characters that actually get that high which will be noted elsewhere.
As starting character level goes up... other things go down. That's play balance for you.

Level = Level of the character (recommended to be second or third level)
Experience needed = Experience to reach the level (also indicates your starting experience for a new character)
Ability Points = Starting Ability points to purchase your Ability Scores. (ie. You start with a '10' in all your ability scores and purchase them up, or get a refund when you lower them)
Item Points = You purchase starting normal equipment with the starting gold of your class (or most favorable class if you have more than one). Item Points are used to purchase equipment of 'Note'. I conduct low magic campaigns, that means, so magic while pretty prolific they are rather low level. For the sake of scale, an item point is roughly worth 200gp. (ie. +1 Long Sword would be worth 10 Item Points, and be considered a big deal.)
Hit Points = Results from Hit Die for one character level. Most favorable Die first.
Character Classes
Most Core Character class concepts will be fine. The exception being bards, I only allow bards that use the focus of song (known as Spell Singers) or dance (known as Dervishes).
Other character classes are mostly okay, with some exception ... Summoners are right out (I consider them a broken class) and Cavaliers because of their background are inappropriate. Alchemist, Oracles, Inquisitors, and Witches from the APG, and Magus from the UM books.
Archetypes arent out of the question but will have to be justified to me, and you are responsible for citing the source to me.
Equipment
Starting Equipment is determined by 'Average' gold for your most favorable character class (35 gold pieces per starting d6).
In addition to this you have 'Item Points' which you can allocate for some starting items of 'note' i will dole out to you. You may also request to have them converted to coin (200gp for each item point), but if your desire is magic, you're really better off leaving them as item points and specifying how you want to allocate them.
