Re: OOC Chat - 004

Yea, I've sort of been holding back a bit to see what you guys want to do, but it seems like I'll need to keep pushing things forward. Doesn't help that I've been busy myself this week.

@Zaiya, I meant you roll 4d20 once and take the 2 best rolls for Arcana and History respectively

Re: OOC Chat - 004

In any case, it seems a lot of countries are reopening their services and work, so its understandable that people have become abruptly busy. That said, I hope folks aren't too burnt out from the recent events in game - I understand it was basically two high-key tension fights in a row, so I've been fine with the more sedate pacing these two weeks.

If you guys have feedback, or concerns about the way things have been going, do PM me.

Now, on to the game itself:

I've updated the threads with replies from SEER and from the townsfolk regarding the dryad. Once Zaiya gets the rolls in, I'll update with the lore information the party has. It should not affect your most immediate moves for now, so I'm comfortable handling this delayed.

In the meanwhile, I'm going to have the group go back on the road. Important questions:

1) what time in the day are you leaving?
2) who is driving, scouting, working...etc? Note that if you want to work on the wagon, or practice downtime, you can't also be scouting. It will be another 3 day journey to Westbridge.

Once I have most of this information, I'll move us to the One the Road thread, and we can get back into the swing of things :)

Re: OOC Chat - 004

Seems like life's been getting busy all around, so brief spots of slowness are to be expected.  Though it seems like we've got things more or less squared away in Red Larch?

If Moira's really set on leaving in the afternoon, sure.

Thente will help with scouting on our road to westbridge

Yea, Red Larch is pretty much wrapped up for now.

So, afternoon trek with Moira driving, Thente on watch. U'lin iirc wanted to make some improvements on the road. What about Claire and Zaiya?

I'm good with an afternoon departure too. Claire could scout too on horseback.

Well, now I feel like a bit of a dumb.  does that mean a "27" on both then?  Again, sorry for being so out of it, I've had about 30 minutes of free time a day this run, and I'm close to the end of my rope IRL.

At least it's almost over.

What time of day is it (and which day) now?
U'lin's up for departing now, whether that's at the crack of dawn, or gather some road food at other time of day, and hit the trail.

Re: OOC Chat - 004

There's no real "now" in the sense that the party decides when they want to leave the village on the third day.

If you wanna head out at the crack of dawn, sure thing.

I'm just gonna go with 27 on both of them Zaiya.

Correct, as always, o illustrious one.

U'lin will take turns/relieve Thente so he doesn't have to be "on" the entire time, but free time will be spent on improving and praying in the wheeled shrine wagon :)

Side thoughts:

So many good things next level.

3rd spells are major level jump of use and effect.
150% proficiency is delightful.
And should have my armour finished by the time it happens *happy dance*

Thente? Zaiya?

U'lin and Claire can attempt things too.

I understand if folks are busy but this is days without checking in, I'm a bit worried.

Re: OOC Chat - 004

I've been seeing a lot of slowdown around RPOL as of late because of states fussing around with their reopening/immediately re-closing because of the pandemic stuff this past week or two.  Seems like everyone is being run ragged with heavy schedules, so it's not too unusual for it to be quiet right now.

U'lin isn't trained, but I tossed a post up to keep things moving.
Not a bad check, so perhaps not a bad idea :)

Re: OOC Chat - 004

I understand. All the same, thanks for moving things along U'lin.

It's late now, so I'm going to go to bed first. I'll see if there are any other posts in another 10 hours and update then.

Stay safe guys. If you need time to yourself and work/family during this crisis, we can easily reimplement a slowdown to 3/week in this phase of the story until folks get back on their feet.

What do you guys think?

Anyone better animal handling than +4 w/ adv?

Claire has been a big speak w/ animals, so I don't want to step on her toes/bailiwick.
If no response, I'll post for U'lin acting there.

Re: OOC Chat - 004

I am finally free.

After I sleep, I'll get caught up on everything.  God willing, work won't be a shitshow like that was for a long time to come.

(I had maybe thirty minutes a day to cram in everything that wasn't working, sleeping, eating, or getting ready to do either of those, and that includes having to keep in touch with the family and getting my next year of car insurance sorted out, it was ridiculous)

Re: OOC Chat - 004

@U'lin - did you sense something metallic, like an item or something among the eggs? Or did U'lin just mistake the eggs for an item? I'm wondering whether to eventually try and get closer eventually.
