Still, alternatively, a level7 spell must go for 5k+.  Add something of great utility, that requires a 13th level+ caster... Moira's a pretty good negotiator.  And heading to Yartar, home of adventurers...

Gamble on the more money, or stick with the 2k?
DM, does my assessment sound right, or does Moira have a better valuation of the various items?

The scroll is definitely potentially worth more than 2000gp. 5k is way too high though.

The tricky part will be selling it- not a lot of people who want a 7th level scroll, and one of teleport of all things as well. There isn't really a "general store" you can just hawk it off to. Moira will need to spend significant time and/or connections to find a buyer, though Yartar is an excellent place for such.

You are unlikely to get raw cash either way. Most likely trade magic item for item.

Assuming Moira so advised, then U'lin would remain staunchly requesting the gems for coinage.
He wants the "for the Beetle" funds to help improve the Dream, not as an item.

Alright, last points

- Zaiya or U'lin, who wants to be the one to identify the magic stuff? Important because I'll be using your casting stat for the identify checks.

- Beetle is traded for gems, confirmed!

- Will time-skip back tot he road in a bit soon, once we wrap up the scene with Ethgar (is the skald making this viewing private? Or can other party members see it as well?)

Good for whichever rewards the party chooses! I'm not much of a fan of one-shot items myself too, more because I never know when to use them and end up hoarding a whole bunch of them XD.

Also alright to skip back to the road once we're wrapped up here. Excited to see U'lin's plans for the Dream take shape! Now, if only Glory could fly too...

Were there any modular parts to the dream still around?

Unfortunately, no. From what Felgolos tells U'lin, the spare parts of the dream were sold and the money given to Dalus' relatives after his death. Only the Dream itself was kept, mostly because of a very insistent dragon.

Dalus and his family lived in Sundabar, but Dalus himself operated out of Jalanthar. Towards the end of his life, the artificer moved to Jalanthar permanently, having become estranged from his main family. Felgolos isn't privy to the details and prefers not to discuss it.

I mean, if the story keeps driving us northeast, Jalanthar isn't actually out of our way... and, notably, it's between two Dragon Caches, so a visit may very well be on the itinerary.

To whom?  Felgolos or SEER?  Because SEER is already well-aware.

SEER is aware of the fire giant attack, you may assume that Daratha is in contact with her at this point.

Felgolos is vaguely aware of the fire giants and that you guys care about them, but he uh. Doesn't. At least he seems indifferent to the entire matter so far.

Sorry sounds worse than really is

Had little surgery. They couldn’t complete. Had to go to neighbouring community for part two.
Dr insane rough. Before even started surgery. Warns bruising and sore. Understatement.
Two weeks later worse, area 500% swollen, hard to walk. Bad skin colour from bruising has wife panic attacks.
Bit of bleeding sends her over edge.
So local dr says ultrasounds, little draining surgery. Easy peasy.
5 hours waiting in local Er. To find out ultrasound tech left hours ago. Surgery can’t  happen because no happy juice tech around.
So have to drive two hours to city hospital. They will do it there. Sigh.
Except they won’t. Because I’m emergency, but not bleeding out urgent, and different zone covers these screwups.
So have to drive THROUGH  the city to city  TWICE AS FAR AWAY so idiots that caused the problem in first place can deal with it.
But we can’t go right away, of course, because no tech at all there tonight, not until tomorrow.

Bureaucracy and stupidity in its finest. Sending bleeding Emergency patient ten hours painful driving when should be able to address five minutes from home.

Crrrrrrriminy.  Go get some rest much deserved rest and pain meds, my dude.
