No issues with the game, no.  Just all the other Real Life stuff making it hard outside the game.

On that same note, blegh, why is setting up a doctor's appointment so hard?  It seems like just trying to find one is a hassle all on its own, let alone jump through all the hoops necessary to get some attention when their offices are only open for two or three hours on specific days.

A bit of intel gathering would be a good idea, yeah.  As passingly mentioned in narrative, Moira wants to talk to Madame Zoar and see what's been going on as of late, as well as warn her of recent threats in the area.  She'll also prod around for word about any Zhentarim activity and Kella specifically, if there's a chance for it.

Well, uh.  Been a while everyone!

So, my job seems to have gone up in a puff of smoke due to a bunch of Higher Ups Making Bad Decisions, which leaves me unemployed (Though fortunately, between my savings and unemployment, not economically insolvent).  It does leave me with a vast amount of free time on my hands.

If you guys are still good for potentially grabbing another player though, well, I'm around again.  Might not want to come back as Zaiya due to it being Quite Some Time since the last time I was here, but it's best to figure out if openings exist first, I think.

Had a trip + some heavy work last week, am back now! Update soon.

Hey, Zaiya's back!  Great to see you return, though I'm sorry to hear about the hard time you've been having.  I know the pain; I was in an extended job search myself for a while recently.  No fun at all.

So, how's everyone doing?

I myself am in a bit of an extended vacation until I start a new job mid April. I can certainly empathize with the job search existence . . .

Still trucking along.  Moira is a bit preoccupied with established actions IC, so I haven't really had anything to post with her for a while now.

GM - have you heard from Claire at all lately?  I know life's been preoccupying for her, but it's been a long time since she last posted.  Is everything okay on her end?

As a DM, I've been struggling recently myself. Been considering if I have the energy the continue the game tbh. The slow pacing is nice sometimes but also feels like a slow death sometimes.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's your call, but I would be pretty bummed out if a game of this quality was snuffed out. I know I haven't been part of the group too long, and I certainly haven't been the most active poster (even setting aside the brief period I was literally comatose), but I could commit to a more steady posting rate if that's what it would take.

Would it possibly help if we got back onto the main questline? It's been nice in Calling Horns, don't get me wrong, but I'm personally looking forward to dealing with some Giants :)

I think I will need to kill the game.

My irl stuff has been busy, and other activities have gradually taken more priority. I don't feel the same excitement or joy planning this game anymore. Am also struggling with some other health issues that make me feel fatigued most days.

I feel bad for bringing in new players and letting the game die, but I think it's better to just stop now before it sours further.

Maybe in a year or so, when circumstances change I'll find the energy and time again. But right now, I don't think I can continue.

Ooof, and right as I get up the courage to try coming back.

Well, it is what it is, you do what's best for you!  I'll be floating around if you ever want to pick this up again.

I mostly need time to sort my life out right now and I rather not keep everyone hanging. I noticed my last few posts have been kinda spinny which coupled with the slow post rate has hurt my ability to do things.

I really enjoyed the game and still have notes and plans saved. You guys are great players, and losing/disappointing you guys is honestly the hardest part for me :(

I will say that in about a year and a half I'll likely be moving countries again and that might lead to a change in circumstances.  If things pick up then, I'll give you all a ring :>

Thanks for checking in and thinking about me. I'm doing well insofar as I'm not literally dying! I've just been really slammed by work. Who knew teaching took so much time? Well ok, people told me before, but I didn't quite appreciate what that meant!

I really did have a great time with this game though, and I'd be interested to start back up if my working hours allow. I'm sorry if I wasn't as timely with posts or as knowledgeable about DnD as I could be, but I appreciated everyone's patience, especially with helping me to understand how the game system worked.

Big appreciation especially for you DM, for talking over ideas, explaining how all the numbers work, and organizing the whole party!

I won't pretend I'm not disappointed, but that should be reasonable given how long we've all played together.  It's literally been years at this game and writing with everyone, so having to put it aside honestly hurts.

That said, people's health and enjoyment always take priority.  So if things take a turn for the better in the distant future and there's a desire to return to all this, I'd always be more than happy to do so.  We have, after all, been at this for several years by this point.  What's a comparatively brief hiatus compared to that?

Thank you all for the understanding. It makes things a lot easier, mentally at least, and I hope to recover myself IRL in the meanwhile. And while I am hesitant to promise too much, things might change in a year!
