Glad to hear you are doing better!

Happy holidays, all.

We had a very nice, quiet, family Christmas.

Now, we're "having fun"
driving on frozen roads washboard roads, to have 48minute every-single-item + "have a smoke afterwards" search thanks to my wife and the glycerin soap, 2hr+ argument with rental company that didn't see need of our order of vehicle with winter tires,
followed by driving 4 hours on a road that signs warned to check gas before heading onto it,  without passing opportunities, cut between rock walls and lakes on both sides, decorated liberally with semis/transport trucks who apparently have the right-of-way on all centrelines.. and both lanes at the same time, all so we can go

visiting with a "friend of the family",
which, in turn, involves being constantly and excruciatingly precise and careful on anything said, done, or *gasp* thought about being moved in any way, mixed with the added benefit of trying to keep an active and creative five-year-old alive/entertained in that environment.
  *happy clapping*

That sounds like quite a journey, U’lin’s player. I myself have enjoyed a particularly pleasant and relaxing holiday, so no complaints here! Happy holidays to all :)

Excellent!  Good to hear peace on Earth exists :)
Our actual Christmas time was like that, and very, very enjoyable.

The trip - it was a ... challenging.. day, for to be sure, but also reminds one of what is important.  I've certainly had far worse driving days, but it was more the tension and stress so soon after the idyll of Christmas time, I conjecture.

Now, the girls had a bunch of heart-to-heart talk, lighten the souls, and the boys went to bed early/up early.

Best part, Daddy up early to feed the child, precious time together with her as we ate, and even better time talking and playing together in the quiet snowy morning.  Those are the memories I treasure.

And last night, Mommy bragging about crushing Daddy in Uno, only to lose the game in the last three rounds.  aaaaaaaaaaah :)

Happy New Year, folks.  Hope everyone's made it through the crazy weather and likely spread of illness going around right now, along with shifting back into whatever start-of-the-year work schedule may be waiting.  I'm back into the office tomorrow and am not looking forward to the end of my vacation already.  ><

Re: OOC Chat - 006

chuckle.. for one, I'm glad that we're away from our visiting requirements, and did my court-in-"vacation" that caused me to miss the zoo today, so rest of time is free for swimming with family, tomorrow flying home to see our cats, and me finally relaxing before the TV to watch shows we like on the tv we like in the place we like, and without grief.  Last two weeks, only watched Hobbit series on one day - otherwise no TV.  I'm a reader and computer chap tho, so TV is background - missed it much less than anticipated, if I'm honest.  Father-in-law and I both have trouble enjoying TV that isn't OLED quality anymore.   TV snobs?  I say standards :)

In theory.  :)

Oh.... and sleeping on a good bed, with good pillows, and not needing to schedule one washroom with 4 people.  Oh my yes.

Happy New Year, friends, and likewise hoping the new year treats you all well.

Happy New Year everyone :)

Things are settling down for me as well, I've managed to get my apartment sorted out. But yes, back to grind as everyone else!

Re: OOC Chat - 006

Happy New Year! Sorry for the absence, Christmas break was virtually non-existent for me and the start of the new academic year has been crazy.

I'm a little concerned I won't have as much time to dedicate to posting as it seems teaching is going to take up a lot more time than I anticipated. I wonder if there's any arrangement I could work out? @GM

There's certainly no harm in a slow-and-steady pace.  We've been at this long enough to not need rapid fire activity on our part, after all.

I'll wait for the others to chime in if they wish.
DM, if there isn't anything, U'lin will chose the one room with tub in room for safety - these cities are trouble, as anyone knows.
Then move the dreamwagon (and Moira's, if requested) to visible location from the party's room's window.

Re: OOC Chat - 006

There isn't a spot in the stables area that's visible from the window with the deluxe suite.

You could just park the Dream in the open and have the horses in the stables if that's what you prefer.

No real reason to splurge on the deluxe when the lesser rooms would suit and let us keep an eye on our vehicles/horses, I'd think.

That's fine. I'll see if U'lin or the others have any secondary opinions.

Does the party want to go straight to rest or talk to any of the NPCs in the adjoining rooms?

Re: OOC Chat - 006

Sorry on my quiet lately; I think I've gotten a case of food poisoning or something over the past few days.  It's making it very hard for me to participate and get my head into a creative space, which is bothersome because I intended to have Moira chat around with the locals a bit.  >_<

Re: OOC Chat - 006

lesser rooms that connect and are LOS on the wagons is peachy.
Thinking if ppl going down to sleep/watches.

U'lin is fine either way.  Definitely baths to the rooms though.  Ppl need a clean up (not U'lin, as he smells fresh and wonderful, but that road smell.. whew).
(he'll still have a bath even though he doesn't need one.  Gentleman Barbarian and all)

U'lin sent drinks to the hunter room, if they wanted to come out and swap stories, but he doesn't want to be rude and intrude.  If they talk so loudly people cannot help to overhear, well, that's on them :)

They don't have connecting rooms I'm afraid, that's not very common out here.

Since folks are busy and/or aren't well I'll hold off a bit - will do a short skip to later in the night next Monday ish.

Haha!

AziƩr is perfectly content not chatting with the locals, even if it their bag is interesting, as he fears it could end in another detour. He's also perfectly fine with anyone else not chatting them up for the same reason.

Sorry for my quiet; been a challenge to muster the motivation to sit down and write lately. No other excuse ^^;
