Sorry I've been MIA. Covid is making the trucking industry just explode and I've been working 55-60 hours a week since this crude started. Our slow period should be coming, but there wasn't one last year, so idk what's going to happen.

Been sick for the past week. Nothing serious, just a seasonal cold where my whole body aches, I take the usual meds, and then all I feel like doing is laying around in bed all day. It's still hanging on which is why I'm posting this.

Im here. Though at times a i feel out of touch with the game but thats just the rate and maybe a little that i am a small time engineer compared to the woman that talks to the computer with her mind.

I think though I did not realize that when I chose Triune for the whole telepathy with computers thing, I did not take into account that she was the one that developed Drift Tech and passed it to everyone. The only thing Phelar has planned to to look through the temple's database. See what she can find of any worth either about herself, or their mission. She feels they are there for a reason other then cool sheilds and a neat new engine type that she can make money from. :)

I remember hearing about that while I was down in Haiti for the Army the 2nd time. I just shook my head, especially considering we had our Battalion commander deciding that it was appropriate to do a Battalion run around Port-o-Prince Airport AFTER the UN Base Commander just issued a heat index warning because it had just hit 105 degrees out. Needless to say I was happy I drew RTO detail that day, they didn't have enough vehicles for all the fallouts.

It just shows how many morons are in the upper echelon of one of the most technologically advanced militaries in the world. And it's scary too.

We got that radio thing with a Scottisch lighthouse. So my guess its actually fabricated but tells us we know how the world thinks about us navy arrogance as its generally well believed.

As it turns out, it is a joke that's been going around for around 80 years.

Which kind of indicates that the attitude is more Old School than modern, but since the US wasn't part of the original joke, it's only been adapted to us.

Of course, you have to remember how much the US public was being influenced by the major newspapers at the time, who dumped their personal beliefs and agendas on everyone.

We got 'dragged' into WWI, which was a 'foreign' war, and we were damned if we were going to get involved in another one, which is why it took Pearl Harbor to get us into WWII. We would have anyway, because Germany and Japan both wanted to conquer the world.

The problem is that besides the American Civil War, we are one country. In half the space over in Europe there are 50 countries that have been at war with one another for over 500 years.

That's where the difference in attitude comes from.
