Captain should give final approval on crew distribution?

Was there anyone other than the XO and SO (among the PCs) who wanted to head to the artifact of doom?  We should include some red shirts useful crew members to die in our places bring useful skills along. Someone with engineering knowledge, I should think. And perhaps someone to help with translations?

Also, Decker calls shotgun on the shuttle. Just don't ask him to fly, as he has a Conn skill of 1.

Decker's player, I know, had to evacuate from the fires in Sonoma.  I'm hoping he'll be back online soon if he's not already.

Unfortunately we've lost our captain and CMO to "real life", they've had to drop the game.

Didn't mean to go complete sinker on you all.  Shortly after my last post, the Captain and CMO players dropped out, and then I got offered a full-time position at my new job.

Not sure how (or if) to proceed with the game at this point, but... hope you are all well, and have a decent holiday.

I've spoken to Jav'Ker's player.  He's still interested, but very busy, so he will stick around but post as he can.

So, question for the crew.  Would you like to finish the Abyss Station mission, or start clean with another one?
