Re: OOC
Don't seem to be going anywhere at the moment, but we're semi-prepped and paying attention.

Fortunately for me this year it's not a wind driven event. That's mostly why the fire threatened the cities and towns that are relatively in the clear. These fires were started by lightning strikes in deep old dry lumber and that's what the fire is following. The fuel where I am is relatively thin, so with no wind to push it in our direction....

As long as it's not attracted to hot air, you'll be fine. ;)

Yeah!  Hopefully we can get the game back on track.  Since I'm stuck indoors with all this smoke outside...

Re: OOC
Be thankful there's no chance of you having to go anywhere anytime soon. :P

Although if I do get the boot (or even if just a warning and things look dodgy) there's a good chance I'll end up somewhere near you. Seems to still be plenty of hotel space in South San Francisco (with all the lack of flying) and prices are reasonable.

That was the most Decker thing I've seen all game.

He offered it to T'Lara, "Can you please take a preliminary scan with this one. It'll just take me a minute, but I think I can get mine working again. I don't want to risk losing those other signals."

Yeah.   If I'd known the GM was going to make us make rolls, and spend Momentum, I'd have worded by post differently.

Normally I wouldn't, but something exciting is about to happen. ;)

Which will have to wait until after my shift at work. :(

Also, it's Decker. :D

Just need an action out of ch'Pertha to continue.

No worries, he's probably trapped at work. :)

It's literally his own face. An exact duplicate.  And the look radiates menace, and he's going for his phaser.  Yes. :)

Re: OOC
Iíve really enjoyed it.
And I think itís because it feels (to me) like a live action RP of the Star Trek genre, rather than an expensive show, if you know what I mean.

I really like the storyline and character developments, also.

BTW, I'm including the extra yakking about game mechanics for people's benefit... I won't always do so, I just thought you guys would be interested in how the mechanics work. ;)

Re: OOC
System question:

When you take a minor action to set a phaser (to area, or vicious, or whatever) does it stay at that setting or do you have to set it every turn even if you continue to use the same option?

I mean, if you set a phaser to wide-angle or heavy stun or whatever, you'd expect it to stay that way. But I'm not sure that's what the system/mechanics have in mind...
