Decker didn't accurately calculate where we should be cutting, but Mcreeg didn't listen to him anyways. So, success?

I agree with T'Lara, two wrongs definitely make a right in this case.
And, also, I sure hope that tapping noise didn't stop...

I once had a character, a ranger, who died within six posts fighting a kobold but never one who did before getting into the game. Maye Tsolo will set a record never to be broken.

The original Traveler RPG included a set of random charts to roll up your character's backstory. It was possible to die during character creation.

I had a superhero character explode right after creation because his powers couldn't co-exist..basically and..you're alive!
BOOM!
someone pass me a slice of pizza while I go back to the random tables?

I once had a fellow PC attack and kill my character the moment the game began.
He is my best friend, and so I forgave him. We spent the remainder of that long running Amber Game screwing each other over at every opportunity.
THOSE were the 'good old days'.

GM is another good friend ... and yes.
It was all in good fun. I really don't imagine that either would have done so in any other circumstance.

My most significant character deaths occurred under our current GM and they were both in Star Trek themed games. And both at another player's hand. The same player, for that matter...

Re: OOC
Nah. This was many years ago. FASA's Star Trek RPG around a real life table. ;)
First Andor decided to go separatist and our Andorian (ex-) Captain joined up. My character was to take his place and was given command of an Enterprise class (movie-era refit) cruiser as part of a fleet sent to rein them in. Said ex-Captain one-shot my ship with an Andor class (photon torpedo) missile cruiser. Boom.
Shortly afterwards Starfleet Command started a *really cool* Starfleet Intelligence campaign that ended up being a Star Trek / Lovecraftian horror story. It was awesome. Player of crazy Andorian ex-Captain joined up with the eldrich horrors, turned on the team, and blasted me point-blank with a phaser set on disintegrate.

Indeed. Andorians are pretty cool. Jeffrey Combs' Shran was one of the best parts of Enterprise and I'm glad they got a chance to shine in that series.

I, too, was glad that the Andorians got some spotlight and representation in that series.
They are, indeed, my favourite ST race.

So, Mr. GM.
Would it be possible to take a 'Find Weakness' action with a tricorder, similar to what the Science Dept. can do it starship combat?

You know, I don't think I've ever seen a Star Trek character carry a thermos or water bottle around on any away mission. Either it's something very high tech, or Star Fleet officers are routinely dehydrated. Post-scarcity utopia, indeed!
