Re: OOC

Sorry for making an edit after someone had already answered, but I only now figured out how to do the language group thing and wanted to use it. The content of my post didn't change, just the line spoken in dwarvish.

Re: OOC

Oops. I didn't realize you had said that in Dwarvish in your initial post. Hasan doesn't speak Dwarvish. I edited my post now, too, to reflect that.

Re: OOC

There is not really any cover in the approach to Greenest; you are indeed in open land.

N'Rell has indicated to me that he will make his appearance once the party makes it to town.

Emmi, are you with the caravan? Once you have posted, I'll move us along.

Isolde gave Bencor a measured stare, unsure of what to make of the fellow. She didn't object to him trailing along.

:D

The GM gave my ear a tweek earlier to adjust the concept so to be more civilized. I have a concept in mind I want to play too but do speak up OOC if its too grating on the nerves.

Re: OOC

Emmi didn't indicate that they wanted to be with the caravan, so maybe we could move on. They can join us when the real adventure starts and we don't get held up in the introductory phase.

Passive Perception, Passive Insight. One of my previous campaigns had everyone put those up there for convenience of not having to check the character sheet for those.

Re: OOC

The humans and kobolds appear to be working in concert. The lizards are medium-sized, not actually "giant" in game terms (but definitely giant for a lizard). Most of the human raiders wear hooded cloaks and appear to be members of some religious group or cult.

Re: OOC

Holding on my post till Isolde's mechanic question IC is answered. I'm happy with free flowing theatre of the mind style combat or super detailed map with pogs; either is good.

Same here. Once we get clarification on that, I'll go ahead and jump in.

Re: OOC

I would also like to know about combat before posting.

And generally about rolling. GM, do you want us to be proactive about rolling our skills, if we think they would apply to a situation? Or do you want us to wait for you to ask for rolls?

Re: OOC

Thanks for the questions. I don't use battle maps; I tend to go for a more "theatre of the mind" style, as Bencor put it. Also, I generally ask everyone to post their actions for the round at once and then resolve the round in a single post.

As far as rolling goes, you can post your rolls whenever you think it is necessary. In combat, I will generally ask for your rolls. In either case, if you post your action but not your die roll and the action requires a roll, I will generally roll for you to speed things up.

And, yes, Isolde, you are within 25 feet of at least one of the kobolds, so you can attack in melee this round.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: OOC

The whole dramatic entrance thing would have probably had more impact if I had rolled high enough to actually hit something. Haha. Maybe it was just a warning shot?

Re: OOC

Can we get a list of what labels are being used for the language groups to make sure we'reall using the same code? For example, if I were speaking to an Elf, I would have labeled it "Elven" instead of "Elvish" and would, apparently, have been wrong to do so.

Can somebody explain this language group thing to me? I've been on rpol for a few years and this is the first I've heard of it.
