The Moathouse
After defeating the bandits in red, the Wolves rested in a formerly well appointed room before exploring the ruined fort. Taking a prisoner gave a few insights, but the interrogation seemed to disturb Shule a bit.  The prisoner spoke about his friends who were absent and due to return, the villagers in Hommlet being evil, strange singing voices in this haunted fort, and other fun tid-bits.  Loot was divied up Please list what is being left behind, where, and all those fun details please. from what was gathered from the disfigured swamp bandits as well as a stash of stolen goods from the captain's room.  The bandits were living very rough but it was clear they were repairing the ruined fort and making it more habitable.  Two doors from the main building were being walled off, and it would later be clear why...

Unblocking and exploring the south wing revealed an office or sorts, some storage closets, a latrine, and finally a ruined barracks which was home to a formidable giant snake.  Scouting as a snake Lesgit was dwarfed by this massive beast which attacked the group.  The snake was killed and a body found in the room, obviously a meal of the snake at some point.

The North wing also needed to have a door cleared to gain entry and revealed a kitchen, more storage rooms and offices, and another ruined barracks.  The barracks was infested by 3 large acid-spraying insects who gave the Wolves a run for their coppers.  Lesgit fell in the battle and nearly everyone was bit and burned by the time the 3 tunneling beasts were finally felled.  Exploring this ruined room revealed a panel on the north-eastern wall, and activating this opened a hidden door and stone staircase going down into the darkness below the fort.

Game on!

The Moathouse
I'm not sure what happened to the coyote people but it seems they at least served their purpose. I felt bad for the rest of them, being under the heel of that galoot "leader" of theirs.
The bugbugs were obviously not interested in parleying and nearly killed Sparky, not to mention Tripp. The poor fool looked like nana's pincushion she kept on her table back in Homestead!
Apparently the little spellslinger did a marvelous job distracting all the human cultist scum while I was laying on the ground bleeding out during THAT little encounter. The one with the mask and staff drew more of those fucking worms out of thin air and they were not interested in hearing the good word of Anubis. They fled out a back tunnel from their main chamber and made haste in some sort of horseless cart. Aron got a few shots off but alas, they escaped.

I haven't found reference to Nagash anywhere yet in my readings, nor anything about this eye symbol everywhere, but I intend to take some swatches of their clothing back to Hommlet and see if that druid knows anything. We need to be careful: it's a safe assumption the Schmidts have extended their influence into everywhere they darken a doorway...which reminds me, the spellslinger kid is showing some spunk, it'd be a shame if he were spying on us and we had to kill him.

I'm looking forward to making it back to town and sleeping in a bed again, at least. Perhaps those fools at the oddities store, or perhaps the wizard in the tower, are able to move some magic around for me. These bruises and fractures aren't going anywhere any time soon, and if we're going to keep doing this I need to better protect myself.

...some tattoos wouldn't hurt either. People seem nervous of me once they see my blood spilled, it's high time I took advantage...
