Wicked Spheres: OOC Thread 2

And here we go; new OOC thread. The last post in the last thread was from Adrika; I'll reproduce it below so the conversation can continue here.

Have fun - chatting with each other is an important part of building up teamwork! ^_^

In general, the rule of thumb is, and always will be, the same: if you're interested in any character option, or have some fluff idea that you'd like to see realized into mechanical terms, ask me about it in PM, and I'll try to accomodate your wishes the best I can, so long as they don't break the game apart. :)

This. I got some Traits (slightly) altered, a Bruising Intellect that works off of WIS for example, and there are some gear related things I'd really like that we've discussed.

'Course, it'd be up to the GM when and if the required steps for those are actually going to trigger, but balance is his job, not mine ;)

Wicked Spheres: OOC Thread 2

For some reason I've always thought of this GM as female, though I'm not sure if that's because it's actually been mentioned somewhere or because they played a female character in the first game we met...

Anyway, with regards to levelling up, I'm just gonna pick whatever seems both cool and useful whilst not seeming overly complicated. I've never played Pathfinder before (but have at least some experience with every other edition except First, though I've not played Fifth but have been watching it streamed online for a couple of years now), so that probably doesn't help - I haven't played with the "regular" rules to know how this "E6" thing changes them beyond the "Level cap is now six instead of 30 (or 20 or whatever it is in Pathfinder)" thing - not sure if that's good or bad, though :D.

It's good, in my opinion - you have less preconceived notions on what's possible and what's not, which I hope will help the group come up with unconventional strategies. :)

And I've read somewhere that it's typical for people to assign their own gender to people on the internet who (like me) give no indication as to what their real life gender actually is. So, you're probably thinking of me as female because you're one, while Adrika's assumption (which is unsubstantiated, just like yours) would make me suspect that her player is actually male.

I do agree that I generally play female characters; for example, just like Dryssa was my planned PC for this game, Elise was my planned PC for a previous attempt at playing this game. I've applied to be a player in Way of the Wicked four different times before I finally caved in and accepted that the only way I was getting this done was by running the game myself.

Either way, that only applies as a player, since as GM I must play everything.

In the end, I hold that on the internet gender only matters for people who want to make it matter - wether you want to think of me as male, female, or a blue fungus from Alpha Centauri, I have no problems with it either way. ^_^

I'm in a number of games where I play female PC's and a number where I play male PC's.

As for the future and future options... I really have no idea what I want Cetaen to be mechanically. If I'm lazy I'll just level him up as a Slayer and maybe take some combat sphere stuff to enhance his physical capabilities.

Though I always like magic, so maybe I'll pick up some more magical abilities.
