"It's a theory, anyway," said Kit.  "And maybe it'll just be a really cool dream."

"I don't remember anything, other than that it was weird," Tom said.

"Sounds good," said Lucas.  "Uh.  You are, uh.  Tough.  Right?"

"Yep!" Kelly said.

"That's fair," said Kit, "but eat fast.  We're running low on time."

Cobalt:
"It depends on the kind of class, but most of the general classes have you take notes, ask questions if you don't understand something and then get assigned homework," Beth said.

"...Notes?" asked Harmonia.  She knew the word, but it didn't mean anything to her.

"Cool, cool," said Lucas, relaxing a bit.  "I, uh, have that control thing.  If you're tough, it's not a problem."

"Copying down points in the lesson in a notebook, binder or computer to study later," Beth said.

"Not for everybody," said Lucas.  "Not for me, especially.  They can't even shut off my power safely-- too much metal in me.  I just fall over."

Kit couldn't help but wonder about the dream... but it probably didn't matter.  Dreams were like that.  And soon enough, he'd have class to worry about, instead.

It sounded strange.

"Wouldn't it be easier to just remember and review later?" she said.  Easy enough for her-- she never forgot anything.

"Well, the ones that I'll admit to in public are mostly about not knowing where my next class is and I'm running late," said Kit.  "I used to have them about the forest where bio-dad lives, but those kinda tapered off once I actually went there."
