MAP FOLDER
This camp is the base of the Iron Drakes mercenary company, started by the Tharsson clan. The current leader is Holgur Tharsson, third of the line, the previous two having fallen during missions. The base is situated in a little bay and its rocky shore. Sporting five levels, just traversing the site is a serious training session, which the leaders use for full effect making the rookies run errands for them on the hardwood platforms.
Figgar Bragiln, an old veteran of many battles, is now the company's main connection with Riddleport, who travels to and fro to make deals and find clients. The tough-as-nails warrior is more about negotiating nowadays, but could seriously thrash most attackers foolish enough to underestimate him.
North-west of the camp, the foothills of the mountains can be quite unforgiving, especially in the winter. In addition, the windblown snow regularly forms strange bipedal shapes, while on sunny, clear days mirages of a bleak and desolate landscape dotted with twisting columns cajole travelers to try to reach them, but always disappear when getting closer than a mile or so.
About two miles to the south, there are some ruins in the sea visible during low tide. Some members dived there, and drew some runes they found engraved into remaining cobblestones. An older, widely-traveled lieutenant said it resembled those used by the Skoan-Quah (Skull Clan) Shoanti tribe. This is rather weird, as they live far to the east of Varisia.
