Re: OOC
Elisabeth:
Secondary conditions are: not getting noticed and not killing anyone (especially the Banana Man.)

Meh, I think not getting noticed is more, not getting linked to the Johnson or Banana Man and not being identified enough to have the Brass Knucks come after us.

Elisabeth:
Conditions do not include: not leaving fake cases behind, meeting Jeremy (or any of the other guards), or fighting anyone.

I don't believe not getting noticed refers to a fake maintenance crew, fake cops, or anyone else other than Runners.

Jeremy already knows we are coming, already said we can hide out on his floor so not being noticed by the guy who is going to be opening our door is a little difficult unless we can find a way in on our own...hence the scouting.

How do you plan on taking the cases without fighting? More because I'd love for that to be shared OOC at some point.

Elisabeth:
As there are four of us, one of us might even appear at the meet as Jeremy, one as Casey (Ironsides?), and the other two as the remaining two guards.

My understanding is the guards are not involved in the meet, and may get taken out by the gang coming in for the meeting...so posing at them will be putting a target on our backs, and means we have to get rid of the real guards to put ourselves in a position we might be ambushed....not something Ironsides would be easy to convince about.

There are three parties involved, the Guards who are more obstacles than involved, there are the Gangsters and the Banana man...who is by himself. My understanding is to make sure that we get both cases, one from Banana Man, one from the Gangsters who are supposed to come alone but likely won't as they tend to break agreements.

Elisabeth:
So, yes Cypher has a big roll to play, almost as big as Elisabeth's. If there were no complications, in fact, we two could do this job all by ourselves.

Ironsides would be very, very happy to stay at home and get paid, just say the word!

Re: OOC
Ok. I apologuise for my own misnterpretation of tbe mission. Before I put in my 2c again I'm going to spend some time to re-read all the IC threads.

Im also gonna take the lead from you guys a bit because my shadowrun knowedge is a little rusty.

Lets try and stay friendly with each other though? Iv'e had enough conflict these last few days to last a lifetime.

Really not trying to be unfriendly, sorry if I comes across that way. Clearly we're not all on the same page as to what the mission entails ny entire purpose is to make sure we all know what we are doing.

And in a joking manner let you know Ironsides would love to be paid to stay at home!

Re: OOC
In Shadowrun Missions at the big game conventions, one usually can complete them in half the time by avoiding combat as possible.

Even when there is at least one combat, as is likely with the 'big bad' at the climax here, it can go fast or slow. So, Ironsides, are you feeling lucky?

And, if there should be combat, poor tactics or bad luck always can cause failure and/or dead runners.

Some player fighting characters feel cheated if there is no combat, even if they are knocked out or worse.

Since there really are no time limits in PbB, other than the GMs patience, I ask everyone: how would you prefer that this mission go?

I'm all for doing it quietly, Mason is more of a 'strike when the terrain has been suitably prepared' type. Having said that, I'm also a big believer in the 'rule of cool'.

They're not very good maps, so tell me when all of you can see it, then I'll give a key.

Re: OOC
Dashers is the name of the store that the meeting it supposed to happen. Ele are elevators, and Esc are escalators. A few additional things of note:
The black space to the right on the third floor and first floor goes outside the mall and onto the parking lot. It's open-air on the third floor.
The black space to the bottom of floor 3 represents walls. Don't walk into the wall.
Any other black space goes straight to floor 1, via gravity. Any place one could fall is secured by glass sides about human-chest high, so forcing someone off is the *teensiest* bit harder.
The lines separate open space and space where stores exist. If you cant figure out which white space is which, just ask.
...That's about it, I think.

Re: OOC
So my old eyes are not what they once were, what do the little round blobs on either side of Dashers say? There is one below in the passage and one above in the passage and then two more in the walk way...I'm presuming escalators but I can't see.

Second, is there a service exit/entry to Dashers? A fire escape? Someway we can get in that doesn't involve going through the front door?

What is the shop next to Dashers and does it share an inside wall or door?

Re: OOC
The one below is stairs, the one above is an elevator, and the two on the walkway are escalators, one going down while the other goes up.

You can't tell if there's an emergency exit by the public map. If you commit to travelling there during your downtime, I'll tell you.

You figure the shop next to Dashers (called "Frozen Brain") probably shares a wall, but you're not entirely sure.

Re: OOC
Bit of a recap to check which end of the stick I've got...

1. We're hitting the meet, rather than each group separately. Cypher can (hopefully) get us into the mall after hours, or we can find a way to hide or otherwise sneak in.

2. The meet is in Dashers. We need a way to get in the actual shop or whatever the place is. Or a way to already be there when everyone arrives. Another job for Cypher maybe, or perhaps the staff could be the weak link?

3. Getting around the mall. Probably goes without saying, but no elevators if we can help it. Power cuts are not friends of elevators & they're not what I imagine to be nice places to be on the wrong side of a frag grenade.

4. Speaking of grenades. Do you guys think it's worth seeing if we can plant a neurostun gas 'nade in Dashers? I'm thinking if so, we can trigger it to soften them up first rather than it bouncing at their feet and possibly alerting them. If not, could a spirit sneak it in there during the meet?

5. Only Cypher has a vehicle, so if it goes to ratpoop he can scarper on that with one passenger. The rest of us are hoofing it.

There's bound to be something I've missed or gotten mixed up on. Have at it folks.

I'm having a lot of trouble reading the 3 maps. Dashers is on floor 2 here, but I thought it was on floor 1 from the note.

Anything in particular we're waiting for or did this go the way most SR games go and die at the planning stage?
