RTJ

Welcome!

First of all, thanks for the interest in my game! I hope what you read from here on out will meet what you are looking for and keep you around to maybe wanting to participate in the end.

Please consider the following points before you send a request to join:

  • If you want to join this game, first of all be aware that it will contain mature material (though no adult content!). Be sure you are comfortable with this.

  • Being able to manage a daily post would be very helpful (with some exceptions here and there of course) for the sake of moving the story forward, so please only apply if you are confident in being able to post regularly. Posts on the weekend are certainly fine, but not expected.

  • State your previous experience with D&D and Pathfinder, regardless of edition. Having a decent amount of experience with high level Pathfinder is helpful, but not necessarily required. Be aware, though, that I will have not much time in helping you to either create your character, or answer a ton of questions that you might have due to being completely new to playing a mythic level character. Either try and figure it out on your own, or ask your fellow players for assistance in such cases.

  • Make sure to have read the Game Info and Character Creation threads to see what the basic plot of the campaign is about and how to create your PC.

  • Please send me a private message with your preferred character concept. This should include a name, race, class, and archetype (if applicable), as well as some idea of the background, personality and motivations for your proposed character. This will be the primary basis on which I select characters. The more info you can give me about your character, the better your chances are of getting in. I won't invite on a first come-first served basis, so you can take some time to come up with a quality RTJ!

  • Knowledge about the world of Golarion is a bonus, but not required. If you are not familiar with the setting, keep the background information about your character more general to reflect this. We can find a way to integrate them into the world later on then.

  • A good grasp of the English language and quality posts are required, please refrain from posting too many one-liners or boring descriptions in combat situations.

  • Other than that, please treat your fellow players with respect. We don’t need any drama in the OOC thread, so if you have a problem with me or another player, let me know with a PM. And most of all, have fun!

The submission window for new RTJs will stay open until (and including) Sunday. The final decision who gets an invite will be made next Monday.

Well, once more I find myself in the enviable but difficult position to have received several great submissions so far. Won't be easy to decide who will get a spot in the end, but I'm already excited to get started!

Submission window will close in a couple of hours, so be sure to send in any updates to your RTJ if you still plan on doing so. Will make my final decision of who to accept tomorrow!

Well, in the end I received more submissions of high quality than I can comfortably fit into one game. As I don't want to decline too many players who have shown their commitment with creating intriguing and details character concepts, I will increase my set limit of players for the game.

Based on my experience with player attrition and irregular posting behavior (despite the announced preference for a daily posting rate), I assume it won't take that long (unfortunately) before someone will/has to leave, bringing the group size down to a more acceptable level.

We will see how it goes, but larger group sizes are more easily handled in a pbp format in my opinion, as opposed to real life; though combat might take even longer if people aren't sticking to a daily posting rate during those times.

Anyway, invites are going out now!
