Any languages added still enjoy the language similarity cost reductions based on those already known.

Ok, so cashing the second level in Combat Luck back in gives Sarajen 5 Character Points to work with, with the two just earned.

Here's what I have planned:

1. Extending the Whip Swinging to 6m, which is the length of a normal whip. Price comes to the same: 1 point. No change to cost.

2. Increasing Leaping by 2m to a total of 8m. Cost: 1.

3. Retcon: Breakfall 13- (DEX). He should have had this as an accomplished acrobat. This is a good chance to correct this oversight.  Cost: 3.

4. Increasing PD by 1 to 7: Cost: 1.

Total is 5 points.

Let me know if you have any objections to any of it. =)

If agreeable will spend the 5 points returned from Combat Luck as follows.

3 Points spent to bump Recovery, 2 points spent on a language (possibly Kothic).

The 2 from XP will be used to bump his strength.

If it is allowed, I want to take the 5 xp from the returned level of Combat Luck, and

Add 2 points for +1 Pick tricks roll
add 2 points to DEX, making it 14.
add 1 point to running, making it 13m.

My 2 xp from this chapter....
1 xp to Basic Kothian.
1 xp to a skill familiarity OR expanding LS power, either longer than 6 hours, or affecting heat as well.

i'm gonna say no to the LS.  all other changes look good.  what skill do you want at the Familiarity level?

As an added detail, I am declaring Sarajen to be practicing with knifes and short blades during the coming days and months as a justification to get some martial maneuvers with them in the future.

I am listing waterskin, 5 days of rations, horse, short sword, bow and 8 arrows, and workman's pick under equipment. Can we get the stats for the shortswords and the bows?

Marduke, Chang, Niamh - doesn't look like you've updated your character sheets with your XP spends so I'll point out something I just realized

None of you have TF: Equines

Without this skill you will be hard pressed to remain in control of your mount though you could sit astride the animal and allow one of the other characters to lead your horse.  Attempting to perform you focus skill while traveling will be made at -5.

Purchasing the Riding skill automatically grants a 1 point Transport Familiarity which could be applied to this TF.

Okay, switched point from Shadowing 8- to Riding 8-. Does even Familiarity with Riding grant the TF, or am I better off putting the point directly to TF?

More like the TF kind of provides a familiarity with Riding based on the write-up I posted from the book.

I should add, it's not a requirement to have the TF.  You may very well picture your character not riding and these times when the group does so is a good opportunity to play out their challenge.  I mostly wanted everyone to be aware of the difficulty that would result and give you the chance to decide early on.

Would there be horses on the wind-swept mountains on Vanir?
