Cyrus Colony has no official border, but the county is perceived to include from the Akulan border, around the edge of the mountains, along the west of the Nymph Wood and around the coast.

Cyrus Colony is in the southern temperate zone of the continent.  The area has mild summers, warm autumn rains, but can have several feet of snow in the winter and torrential rain in the early spring.  The growing season is long, supporting a variety of different crops.  Exports include food goods, exotic woods and spices, and recently include granite and marble from the mountains.  Customer hail from Akulan, but also as far away as Nexallon.

There is also a thriving fishing community, along with several boatwrights.   A shipwright from Braxat is considering investing as well.

The county capital is Caer Anduin, is both the fortress and the town beside it.  Caer Anduin sits on the coastline and in on the south bank of Cider River, near the mouth.

Lord Ezekial Cyrus, hereditary Knight of Akulan, is Governor of the Cyrus Colony..

His great grandfather, Sir Nathanial Cyrus was a great explorer.  He had found this location and requested and received a charter from the King to found a colony.   The location was excellent, near the mouth of a river, fertile lands, and a nearby forest.  Nathanial, had been quite affluent.  His own grandfather was a landholding Duke, Nathanial had sponsored several successful merchant enterprises, and he had found significant sums in his explorations.  He hired a multitude of workers and soldiers to protect them.  They build residences for everyone first, then completed the first docks.  Then he had them dig to bedrock nearby and began construction of Caer Anduin.  Anduin was Nathanial's father’s given name.  Nathanial lived to see the fortress completed; although he abdicated to his son long before he passed.  Ezekial spent a large portion of his childhood in his grandfather's company.

His father’s time as governor was mostly uneventful, even though it was a time of significate growth.  Escaped slaves from Tandlin, and refugees from their civil war had relocated here on promise of a new beginning.  Although formal territorial lines have not been established, Llangarth colony began and was considered subordinate to Governor Cyrus.

Lord Henry Cyrus and his wife died of consumption when Ezekiel was only 17.  Ezekial had thought to follow his grandfather’s path, but the responsibility of governorship thrust upon him prevented this.  He therefore assays the county as often as possible.  His vassals like to have him visit as he seldom makes changes and often funds needed projects.  (He funded  Llagarth Academy of Mercantile from his personal account.)
