Jango's stone-like face broke into a small smile. "Sam, you forget that I'm used to reading the body language and facial expressions of soldiers wearing armor and helmets." Jango put his hand on Sam's shoulder. "Look soldier, not every mission is going to be 100% successful. Don't get me wrong," he chuckled, letting his hand fall back to his side, "Your squad did not achieve all their objectives, so there are definitely things you can learn from this exercise." He paused and let this sink in before continuing. "You were neither offered a computer specialist nor did you ask for one, despite being asked to accomplish a difficult task with an enemy computer system. I didn't expect you to do so; I wanted to see what would happen. And even if you do ask for resources, you're not necessarily going to be granted them--but ask anyway. Anything further, soldier?" Jango finished, allowing Sam an opportunity to reply.
