[Chapter 1.03] The Deeper Dungeon
Descending down there is a definite change in the feeling of the chamber. While the first floor was obviously carved hallways with periodic timbers and dim lighting hung at regular intervals this level seems to be more natural stone passages. The floor is very muddy often coming up to ankles (or knees in terms of Alyssa) which makes travel slower and more difficult.
There are still timbers to support the roof but they are not in neat regular intervals, instead lodged haphazardly where the walls and roof can support them. The walls are irregular and winding and clearly not carved with precision.
The stealthier members of the party are able to cautiously explore the tunnels, just poking around, confirming that there doesn't appear to be anything and mapping out natural exit points.
Tunnel D
This path leads to what appears to be an empty dirt-walled chamber but nobody from the scouting party entered to confirm that it actually is empty or if there is anything of interest or value within.
Tunnel E
Tunnel E leads to a long corridor and the scouting party goes as far as they feel comfortable before turning back as it starts getting too far away from the main party.
Tunnel F
Tunnel F leads to what looks like a large open area choked with mud.
Tunnel G
Tunnel G leads to another open area choked with mud. It is likely that Tunnel F and G lead to the same location but without entering the room and investigating further the scouting party is unable to conclude that definitively.
Tunnel H
This tunnel leads deeper into the complex and as with Tunnel E the scouting party turns back as they start getting deeper into the complex.
