Established Setting Information
People (and monsters, and deities, and...)
Andolg - patron deity of the County of Nadolga. He dislikes magic.
The Gray Mother - a goddess of protection on the edges of civilization. Her servants keep watch over their communities and slay the monsters that threaten them.
Matyokol - patron deity of Dreorus. Previously a minor moon deity, now trying to get into the "making things grow" game.
Noric - god of sky, plants, and freedom. His followers are strong crusaders against slavery.
The Order of the Sun - an order of holy warriors, dedicated to ideals of Goodness more than to any particular deity. Their motto is "Bring sunlight to the darkest corners of the realm." They are based in Haspia.
The Order of the Weavers - a sect of historians and seers based on understanding the nature of Fate.
Sandor Rakosi - a famous artist who went into seclusion a few years ago and has recently re-emerged living in Vorbrud
Places
Batten Downs - a small island in temperate climes, site of the original temple of the Order of the Weavers
Dreorus - a petty "kingdom" about two days' ride north of Vorbrud. The residents have reportedly been getting increasingly weird in recent years.
Eagle's Peak Mountain - metal ores mined there are high quality
Haspia - the Holy City, home to several religious orders and sects
Nadolga - a county some distance to the west of Vorbrud. Protected by the patron deity Andolg.
Skytree Forest - located within the coastal kingdom of Yurath
Vorbrud - a town of about 3000 people, just off one of the main trade roads, known for having some of the best food in the region. Many residents are followers of the Gray Mother.
Fool's Gold Tavern - an inn that is known for serving various leaves and herbs for smoking, along with the standard food, drink, and lodging. The ceiling is uncomfortably low. The inn is run by a middle-aged dwarf named Angus Stoneheart, who is a devotee of Noric.
Things
The Scroll of Noric - believed to have an exceedingly powerful prayer written on it. Its location is unknown.
The True Weave - a huge tapestry hanging in the Weaver temple on Batten Downs, believed to contain the history of the entire world.
