An old boss of mine had to do something similar. She had macular degeneration.

Injections in the eye?! Defintely a shudder-worthy thought.

At my eye exam last fall, they offered either dilation, or a computer scan, same price. I asked about the differences, and opted for the computer scan. No after effects, yay.

Yeah, I had cataract surgery a few years ago.  We don't do the dilation every time, though.

I've been having the worst headache for the past few days.  Feeling a little better, but that spike running through my head, down my neck, isn't quite gone .. just enough that I'm more functional.  Probably stress, with the change of employer (basically, I'm doing the same work, but the employer is different .. but a crap ton of meetings).  At least I got my excess-PTO payout, so I was able to buy a new dishwasher (since the old one just crapped out a few weeks ago).  That'll get installed on Wednesday (local company--I bought my dryer from them, will buy the rest of the appliances when I need them there.  They still have in-house service if you need it).  Good thing about working from home is that any day is ok.

Wick: Were there complications with your cataract surgery? My wife is going in this May or June.

My middle son just dropped by to let me know that my sons are dorks.  They pointed out (apparently on Facebook, which I don't use) that today is Tuesday, 2/22/22 (or 22/2/22 if you write it that way) ...they probably spelled it twosday just to underscore the whole thing.

So I'm sharing it here, even though I should be doing work like stuff.

My dad's birthday was 2/22!  Naturally, I made plenty of metaphysical implications on this one, just to see him roll his eyes at them all.

I've had a good followup (3 for 3, so 9 months cancer free).  I've been struck with a major amount of fatigue that I don't know where it's coming from ... could just be allergies but I haven't really been at 100% since I got sick three months ago (right after my 6month follow up).

Lots of rest is a good thing when your body needs it.

We're all behind you.  Health is way more important than games.

Absolutely Jill, deal with your health. Super glad to hear those words cancer-free.

FWIW, my allergies have been off the scale for the last 3 months, and I get VERY tired when they are acting up or the antihistamine has worn off (or hasn't taken affect)!

Glad the cancer free status is holding steady. :)

Hey, gang, heard from MJ. She's still experiencing some fatigue but otherwise she's OK. She lamented letting everyone down so, on behalf of everyone here, I urged her to get well and not worry about games. It might be a while before things resume but she seemed in good spirits. Let us all be patient while MJ gets over this and can return healthy.

One of the best things about RPOL, the game can go dormant for a bit and then pick up again, and you can read all that happened to catch up!

Absolutely;  Jill's been a highly reliable GM for a while, and when she feels up to it, I suspect most of us will be here ready to resume.   Glad it's not more than fatigue, and urge her to take of herself till it passes.

Good news, I heard from MJ, she's still out of things but they have determined that it's nothing serious or life-threatening. She seems in good spirits and positive, a huge relief to her on-line friends. Looks like she's feeling better so maybe she will be up for a return soon. Keep her in thoughts in prayers, she has had a couple health scares the last few years.
