OOC

No you're good.  A skill set never really vanishes.  So you can exist in TL8 but still possess older skills.

Dean Blankenship:
Welcome Orlando.

I like your picture, very fitting.

Appreciate it!

I used it once a long time ago with a similar character concept. Had a lot of fun with it but the game  died. I will be playing the character in a more humorous way, not overly silly by any means at all but expect him to be your typical stoner who is not fond of dangerous situations and would rather crack a joke in stressful situations than be a “badass”.

Re: OOC

Considering that a lot of the available human tech will be a mix of new TL 8 stuff and older TL 7 gear. Lot of older cars on the road, for example.

Re: OOC

Precisely.  The example from the book goes even further.  It mentions a blacksmith doing horse shoes (TL3) but the horse is working a carriage in TL5.

Kick Woods is the son of a cop and a Tai Kwon Do student.  His old man disappeared shortly after growing suspicious of our alien benefactors.

Re: OOC

Would you prefer our Character Sheet's pm'ed? Or would you like them posted in the sheet section when those open up?

Does the 25 point limit on disadvantages include quirks?

Re: OOC

You can post them on the sheet section.  Makes them easier to find when I need to look something up.

Quirks... I'll make that separate but set the limit at 2

Re: OOC

Hi guys

Trish is a local emergency department doctor. She’s from a working class background and has busted her ass to get where she is; overworked, stressed and in a mountain of debt. She’s a driven career woman, without much social life.

Re: OOC

Welcome Kick, Dr. Kelly.

Looks like Dean is just about done. Just figuring out equipment now. And I should get a real description up soon.

Re: OOC

Can you unlock the "character sheet" part under character description so I can post my stats there?

Re: OOC

Unfortunately not for me yet.

You need to

1. go to Character Details, viewing the pc in question
2. click the Create Character Sheet link at the bottom
3. then check the User Editable box
4. then click the Update Character Sheet button

You have to do this for every player's character individually.

Re: OOC

Well that was a pain in the nuts.  I'd been using the option to turn them all on automatically but I guess it wasn't doing it.

Re: OOC

Small GMing tip, next time when you make the game create a character sheet template set to allow player edits and then when you add people just select the sheet to be assigned to them and then you don’t have to add each persons sheet like you just had to do :)

Re: OOC

For some games I've done that trick (usually my D&D games) but it's been a minute.  Been running some free form lately so I guess it slipped my mind.

Re: OOC

How detailed would you prefer we be with equipment?

And are we going with the %20 of total wealth for equipment rule?

So the remaining %80 would be for house, clothing, vehicle, etc.

I imagine Roo in particular might need some specific rules on vehicle cost.

Re: OOC

Well, I suppose you're free to spend it however you wish but you are just people so you more than likely have some sort of permanent home.

What kind of specifics?

Re: OOC

I'll just simplify things by saying 80% of my wealth is equity in my truck and not worry about the details.
