THE BREAK ROOM
This is the break room, with a microwave and coffee machine and tables and sink and stuff.

THE BREAK ROOM
Alison made her way into the breakroom with her lunch bag, looking around to make sure nobody was around before opening a can of tuna and tipping it out the window after a brief glance to make sure nobody was walking through the back alley underneath. She threw the can in the recycling and popped her bowl of homemade chicken stew into the microwave. As she waited for the ding to let her know it was ready she picked at the bread roll she had brought to go with it and considered whether to do something about Karen... that woman was really getting on her nerves lately.

THE BREAK ROOM
Jacob wandered into the break room as well, sighing and getting himself some coffee.

"Hello, Allison," He said, replacing the filter. "How's it going?" Although he looked tired, he had a bit of a smirk on his face. Not really that uncommon, for Jacob- he always had the look like he'd heard a funny joke and was just waiting to explain it to people.

THE BREAK ROOM
"I'm fine, thanks for asking." Alison smiled, the microwave pinged and she pulled out her bowl of soup, setting it on the small slightly wobbly table. Both of the tables were wobbly to be honest, the room could definitely do with a spruce up but everyone knew that they wound up with the rejects from the other departments.

"Just having a think about what to do next with my life. How are things with you Jacob?" In one sense she was pondering what to do about Karen, in another whether to see about trying to get a promotion here or to try and look elsewhere, not that there were many places hiring that didn't care enough to notice little things like missing paper trails... She was probably stuck here for a while, so she might as well see if she could find a way to improve it a bit.

THE BREAK ROOM
"Oh, you know, same as always," Jacob said, which was not technically inaccurate. "Just getting through the drudgery of the day-to-day. Not exactly much to get excited about here, you know."

He raised his eyebrow curiously. "What to do next with your life? What, are you thinking of quitting? Taking a vacation? Or maybe hauling off to the middle of the woods to scare small children?" He gave a light chuckle. "Not that I'd blame you. The rat race isn't exactly for everyone."

THE BREAK ROOM
Alison frowned slightly at the suggestion of scaring children... it reminded her of some of the things people had said before, but he didn't mean it and she let it slide easily enough. She took a moment to be thoughtful instead, considering what to say, considering her options before shrugging.

"I guess figuring out if I want to try and change departments at some point, apply for a promotion or something. Can't stay still for too long, that's how they find you." She added the last bit in a joking conspiratorial way.

THE BREAK ROOM
"Like what? You going to flee to Compliance? Or perhaps ascend to the heights of upper management?" He said, chuckling. "And if there's anyone who wanted to 'find' you, you'd be found."

He took out his cell phone and waved it about. "Can't hide anything these days. Not from Facebook, not from the government, not from anyone. I guess people just have to get comfortable with being seen."

THE BREAK ROOM
"And you would know all about finding people would you?" Alison asked wryly. The seemingly ubiquitous social media didn't mean you couldn't hide things, tinks titties, somewhere people could tell you what they wanted you to know about them only made it less likely for people to realise there was more to them. There was always more to people.

"In any case isn't it rude to tell a woman people don't want to find her? Then again it would be creepy to tell them that they do. Damned either way, you might as well go guessing at her age." With a shrug she dipped her bread into her soup, eating it with obvious enjoyment.

THE BREAK ROOM
"It sort of used to be my job, kind of," Jacob said. "Before I had a falling out with my boss, in any event. But these days, it doesn't require any special tools. If you have a name and even a general geographical location, you can find just about anyone in a few minutes. Even less if they forgot to turn off their location data on their social media."

He chuckled to himself. "But you're right, it's weird to pry into people like that, unless you have a really good reason to. Best to let everyone have what privacy they can, right?"

He decided to take out some earbuds as he sat down with his coffee. "Hope you don't mind if I listen to a bit of music, do you?"

THE BREAK ROOM
Kiara quietly steps into the breakroom. She smiles at both Jacob and Alison. "Hello Alison. Hello Jacob" She walks over and refills her water bottle before sitting at the unoccupied table. She pulls a sandwich, small bag of chips, and an apple.

THE BREAK ROOM
Daniel tries to be subtle as he gets into the break room. But then he almost trips on himself as he was moving towards the microwave with a can of chicken soup. Thus he was heard.

"Sorry guys." Daniel said as he set the microwave off (the soup in a bowl of course). "Long day huh?" He added with a sniffle.
