Please everyone realize that Alison has a personality that is very far from my own. I am trying to play someone with a lower end Cha, which is difficult as Cha is normally my highest stat.

Cool. I will spot you when Alison has money. She blew the wad on a breastplate. I hope it is worth it, being that is is one of the few non-light armors that does not impose disadvantage on stealth checks. Anyhow...on with the fun. Alison is following along like a good body guard.

Also she did not ignore his earlier joke, she just did not understand the humor of it. I got it totally, but she did not. As smart as she is, some things go over her head. Of course she would balk, claiming her reflexes are too good for anything to get over her head...but I digress.

I replied earlier and said never mind. I don’t want to make other people change.

I thought E. Knights were better, but they have access to only 4 spells that can be used as reactions, none of which do damage. Being a woman she would take prestidigitation as one of her cantrips to prevent certain infections, which means I get only one good damaging Cantrip until some high level and I have to sacrifice Charisma for Intelligence. Ugh

So I’m just going to tough it out and hope I can help the party. Things she will need:
A shield, and PDQ, but as I said earlier I am out of money.
Access to scrolls or to another wizard’s spell book (but this will be @3rd)

My plan now is to take a lot of defensive enhancing spells (which a wizard is heavy on) and Toll The Dead as my one Damaging Cantrip. Pretty much my whole plan now is to take adavantage of extra attacks, whip gives me 10’ reach and rapier gives me a good damaging weapon I can use for combat reactions. 4th level will be Warcaster, which gives me access to the ability to use a spell as a reaction when someone leaves or enters my 10’ reach. I will take Cause Fear as a 1st L, which will give em a way to force creatures to run from me, and give me a way to force a second Toll The Dead. I was hoping to get Hellish Rebuke which I could take full advantage of, but yea it ain’t on Wizard’s list.

6th L will be Alert or Bonus to Cha and Wis, to even out those stats and take some of the rough edges off her personality. 8th will be whatever I did not take at 6th. After that I am open to suggestions.

Do you have access to the Sword Coast book? There are some good spells in there designed for more melee focused wizards. Might be worth looking into.

Booming blade and green flame blade are great... I love E - knights by the way. A great class.

And Booming Blade > Green-flame in most situations. GFB gives a little multi-target potential, but BB gives control and works well if we have other people who can affect movement.

Yes. There re four of them. They seem OK, but single use spells above 1st level must have serious damage potential, and those leave a little to be desired in that department.

Sorry! I got sick on Sunday, but hoping it would be over quickly I didn't mention it here. After it became apparent it lasted a bit longer, Rpol just didn't pop to mind. I'm finally starting to feel better, but it's over midnight in here already, so I probably won't be able to make a post until morning (that personal introduction thread thing shouldn't take long so I can probably do that).  Sorry again, and I'll be sure to notify you next time even if I don't think it will cause a long pause.

Hey everyone,

So I managed to land a really good construction gig out of nowhere and left the next day. I’m currently out of state and will be for the 3-4 weeks. That said I will still be posting and maintaining activity in the game as I have free time every night. I’m exhausted today as it was my first day so I may not get a chance to post but tomorrow I should be able to.

Another rules question.

If I use polymorph to turn a creature into something that cannot breath air - like a fish, just a plain old fish - would that creature die because it cannot breath or would it just go to 0 HP and revert to it’s original form?

It would revert back to it's original form after losing all of it's hit points in poloymorphed form

DM? Are the Gnolls visible to us? I ask because some of us have ranged attacks that can easily make that distance.

And at this time, are you just looking for initiative, or also our Round 1 actions and rolls?

Hmm...I suppose I'll also ask...is there a specific Knowledge to be rolled to see what is going on with Odo?
