Nefertiti was awakened the moment the sun set by a feeling of existential dread. Fog had set over the entire city and the sound of flapping filled the darkness above her). Milo had not returned home and the ghouls had not come into work tonight so she was by herself.

Nefertiti was a bit shocked that she felt such dread so soon and it was strong enough to wake her up quickly.  She moved to a window and looked out at the flapping sound to see creatures flying.  She watched to see what direction they were heading.  Making sure that she wasn't the target of them also she remembered the warning about a heavy hitting out there because of Milo being attacked.

She walked around the place to get herself familiar with each level and each room that she had access to.

Then she can think of something else to do after she was done with knowing every nook and cranny of this place.

 Milo's place was once an abandoned factory with all the equipment removed. The vast majority of the building was just empty space aside from the main hallway that ran across the front of the building with smaller rooms that had been converted from offices to bedrooms and stores (the main one being a tattoo parlor, but there were a few more with computers and another with a surgeon's table. Milo was a man of many talents)

 It was mostly empty space so it didn't take very long for her to familiarize herself with the layout.

Now that Nefertiti was able to get the whole layout of this building, she now needed to see if the sky was still filled with flying creatures and locate its direction.

She was a being of the NIGHT now, without her consent but she was going to make the most out of it for now and she will need to discover Sal's little secret so that she too may be able to move about during the day.

Her mind raced and she also needed to learn from someone who was more advance in the Arcana spheres than she was. Noah bragged about being a Master of Prime but if he was to help in this matter there would be a hole lot of tongue holding.  Pride was a nasty emotion to have and Nefertiti was still young and hasn't lived long enough to curb hers.

She was born a Princess and it seems that she would be now a Queen of the land of her people.  A Queen that walks the night.  Letting out a soft sigh she thought for a moment.  Mistral was also now a Archwizard.  That was what they called her.  The feelings between the two hasn't diminished any.

"Mistral, are you able to hear and communicate with me? she said not sure if it would work but it would never hurt to try.

 The sky remained filled with flapping and squeaking and Nefertiti could now see shadows darting between cover at great speed. This night was filled with monsters and she could feel their bloodlust upon the air.

 Every instinct in her body said that no place in this city was truly safe tonight.

Nefertiti was impressed at the way these creatures moved in the shadows with such speed and the bloodlust she was feeling was overwhelming.  If these creatures can emit such a feeling then they surely was something to be wary of.  But it did run through her mind as to who was this heavy hitter.  She remember Milo speaking of his Sire, and that young Markus.  Her nails seemed to be tapping on the window she was looking out.

The silence dragged on long enough for Nefertiti to stop expecting a reply, but then spoke an ethereal French-accented voice into her mind, "Bonsoir, Nefertiti.  I see you are well, though the night ahead promises to be less so."  There was a pause, then the voice continued, "Your sire ran afoul of hunters, if you were wondering what became of him.  Now he is well and his pursuers are off the board."  She paused again, then concluded, "Milo's sire took issue with the threat to his childe at the hands of the hunters, and has come here.  You may have noticed the disturbance brought by his arrival."

 The fog and feeling of impending doom did not lessen as the minutes passed. If anything, it only grew more oppressive the longer she waited. The flitting shadows did not seem to be interested in her, but their presence made her feel trapped... like a mouse in a den of cats.

Nefertiti didn't mind the wait, she wasn't even sure that Mistral was capable of hearing her speak her name but as it seemed it did work as she thought.  Something to put in her records.

"Yes I am well.  Thank you for asking.  And yourself, how is things where ever you are? she asked but didn't wait long for a reply.

"I was informed that Milo was attacked and a heavy hitter was in town, I assumed correct then.  His Sire.

She paused "Is Milo with you? her voice sounded concerned. "If he needs anything I am at home.  Was waiting for him but it seemed he is safe after all.

Taking a deep breath of air "Where are you located?

Mistral's ethereal voice whispered across space in answer into Nefertiti's mind, "I am as well as could be expected, given present circumstances."  She had never been much of one for small-talk, even before she'd transcended mortality.

To the question of Milo's whereabouts, Mistral answered, "He is not, but I know where he is.  I am unaware of his plans pour ce soir.  If there is mutual desire between you and he for a reunion, I may arrange it."

When asked her own location, Mistral answered in her typical cryptic way, "I am everywhere that it suits me to be.  Have you intention in asking this, or do you merely faire la conversation?"

There was smirk on Mistral's last comment "I asked only to know where Milo's location is.  That was if he was with you. she paused "But as you informed me he is not with you.

Do let him know that I asked about him.

Adieu. she kindly said in the language of the French woman.  For there was no language she couldn't speak.

Now that she knows she is able to do other things until Milo returns or reaches out to his Adopted Childe.

OOC: Milo's place had electricity right?

OOC: Yes. What's the plan?

Nefertiti was starting to feel a little bored as she walked around this empty place and it seemed that the fog and feeling of impending doom did not lessen.  Who was this heavy hitter, Sire of Milo.

Dracula.

Her mind raced for any knowledge of this being but she came up with nothing, it seemed that he wasn't around of her timeline.  But it seemed odd that Carmilla was.  She didn't show such power and she was older than even Nefertiti.  Well that is the story that she got from an unworthy source.  Her eyes rolled at the thought of that damn Dragon.

Now that Nefertiti was growing in power she needed to focus on her own Domain or shall we say Cult.  Followers that would aid her in gaining the wisdom and knowledge of this time.

She needed to find out all she could about this city they call New York.  But was she able to find out anything using those blasted computers.  Letting out a heavy sigh, she moved to a room where she could gain access to a computer and hope that she could turn it on and get a layout of New York and if possible to look up this Dracula while time slipped pass.

 Nefertiti managed to get the machine turned on. After a lot of "flailing about", she managed to open an internet page and, eventually, get a map of New York open. After a LOT more failing, she managed to locate the address of this building and enter it into the little white box.

 She then found that she could look up other addresses by typing in what and where they were and get turn by turn locations to that place. With regard to Dracula, she managed to learn the history and the lore of the man as understood by men... a king of a much later timeline than herself, a warrior known to be as fearsome as a thousand men in life and renowned for his cruelty and prowess in war. There were many stories as to the origin of his vampirism, and many were wildly different. This seemed to be a common occurance among all vampire myths, and none seemed to be remotely close to the truth.

OOC: Nefertiti now has a basic understanding of how Google Maps works as well as a basic understanding of how to look up things online and will no longer need a computer roll to get the internet to function. Learning the basics took you 3 hours.

Nefertiti didn't notice the time passing as this was all just a blink of an eye to her and she was so focused in learning how to use the computer.  She also looked at the areas were most was destroyed by the Storm and if any of the areas were still showing signs of that STRANGE FRUIT.  She had her idea as to what they were but still they were a well source of energy.  Learning that there was a thing called Refrigerator that kept things fresher longer was a nice discovery.  She knew that it held some of the blood that Milo had saved for special quests.

She still was very new to this Vampire culture and she needed to be taught more from her Adopted Sire, but it seemed he was out somewhere busy.

Since her Awakening, she hasn't meet many and those that she hung around were no where to be found.  Michael was a blessing to be around and his Faith granted him some interesting Powers.

OOC: How long has it been since she risen in the Museum?

 She found pictures of the fruit growing in the city but it wasn't as if the map on the computer could show her the way. It seemed some people were cultivating it.

 However, should she be looking for those fruits, she needed to look no further than the area around Milo's haven. Some of it had been cleared (mostly on the grounds of Milo's business) but, since most of the surrounding buildings were abandoned and the foot traffic in these areas was low, there were fruits growing around outside.

 ... though, to get to them now, she would need to brave the ominous fog.


OOC: it's been about a month or so, if I recall correctly.

Nefertiti was a bit surprised that there was some Strange Fruit growing around Milo's place undisturbed.  Well it was till she thought about getting a few.

Moving to a window she looked out to see if she was able to spot any of the Strange Fruit nearby.

If so, then she would use her spell Movement of the Mind to pluck a few and have them float over to the window she is standing at.

Keeping a watchful eye out for anything moving in the Fog.

 There were a few readily visible from the top of a building across the street. Plucking them wasn't difficult, nor was floating them across the relatively short distance.

 What WAS difficult, was doing so without being seen by the numerous flitting shapes in the sky and seemingly in every alleyway now.

OOC: you can do gather up to 3 from your current location without even needing a roll. However, to do so unnoticed will require a Wits + Stealth roll (-1 because you have no dots in stealth). You can also just not do it.

When Nefertiti opened the window and noticed that she might have to deal with some flying creatures she delayed the action.  If time allows she will be able to get some later.

She had nothing to do but sit around in the house and wait for Milo to return, hearing that he is safe now and can't go outside with such dangers lurking in every corner.

Nefertiti was somewhat strong but she wasn't foolish to challenge something that was able to so this to a whole city.

 After another hour or so of sitting on her hands trapped in the house, Nefertiti sensed a change happening outside. The shadows in the alleyways began to move. Though the bats remained yet in the skies, they were thinning, now headed to a different part of the city.

 There was considerably less attention here on this part of the city now.

Nefertiti turned to look out the window to see what direction this Fog was heading.  She hasn't been privileged to understand the layout of the land but she has been in a few places.  Some may be accessible from her location.

There was a few things that she was also wondering.  Talon's little island, it is now at the bottom of the sea or lake.  Not fully sure what they call it here in this land but it was only a few miles off shore when remembered being taken on a boat there.  There was a lot of unknown stuff there that she wanted to investigate as well.

Knowing all too well what Talion is, would he be interested in raising his little palace from the bottom of the sea?

Let alone, was there anyone trapped inside that could still be alive.

She didn't need to worry about breathing air, that was taken away from her from the good doctor.  But she will need to know of a light source when she is deep underwater.

 The movement went in different directions. They were not converging in a single place as much as they were upon many.

 Nefertiti had managed to glean enough information about her surroundings to know roughly where the island once was in relation to herself... and a flashlight was near at hand, but the question remained: how to get there?

 It would take an hour by car and another 4 by boat to get there. She remembered where the docks were the last time she was picked up. Dare she get behind the wheel of a car herself?

OOC: Int + Science (-3 because unskilled, reduced to a chance dice (success only on a 10)) to know about waterproof flashlights and identify whether or not said flashlight is waterproof and Wits + Drive should you try driving the car.

Nefertiti looked around the place for something that could be a source light for her when going underwater. She never heard of or thought of an underwater flashlight so that never came to her mind.

Taking a deep breath she then had to wonder about any items that she was carrying that might be damaged if taken underwater.  There was very little that she possessed and as she searched her pockets she found only lint.

A smile crossed her face as she wondered how this new world is filled with such unpredictable chances.

For a moment she had to wonder if she was to Teleport into a room of the palace would she be there or in the location of where it once was.  Well there was only one way to find out and she focused her mind on the room that she had when she was staying there to see if she was able to re-enter into it or be appearing in the air.

 One moment Nefertiti was standing in Milo's Haven, the next she was submerged in frigid ocean water. It was dark, incredibly so... and the flashlight she'd brought did not work underwater. The various furniture Grey had made had all been attached to the floor so there was little in the way of things bumping into her... and she no longer had any need to breathe. The water, while extremely uncomfortable, was of little concern to her either. It wasn't cold enough for her to freeze solid.

Nefertiti was very pleased that her powers was able to do as she wished.  Allowing herself to adapt a bit to the cold water, she was glad to know it wasn't freezing or else she would of been trapped in a block of ice.

Now she allowed herself to focus on her surroundings, to listen to any slightest sound that may prove that there was anyone trapped in this forsaken place.

Her hearing was Heighten by the gift of Auspex and she could move at a faster pace if needed by the gift of Celerity.

As she stood there for a moment she was also able to tap into her Arcana powers and she wondered if with the mixture of her blood and Force would she be able to produce a light source.  A Glowing orb to float next to her.

She focused and tried to Will it to take shape.  If it did that was helpful but if not then she knew she still needed to find a Teacher to help her advance in her Arcana.

Her goal wasn't easy but it was needed just in case a life could be saved.  For her short time back alive she has seen many remarkable things and there can always be more to witness.

Now she started to move through the room of the Palace listening for any signs of LIFE, a heart beat, a moan or even a cry for help.

 It was, at this moment, impossible to create light with the current amount of Forces she possessed. However, with Auspex, it was easy enough to see in the darkness. The entire Amethyst mansion was flooded, pieces of the wreckage from the "airplane" Mistral was so fond of was littered across the floor. She remembered Milo's teaching about gaining favor with others. The name plate of that machine might be helpful.

 The top part of the Mansion was where the group had lived. It was unlikely anything was up here. That would be deeper.

 There she found a massive blast door made of black metal. The frame of the door glowed with (Prime) magic to her sight and the surface was shimmery and reflective. In front, there was a disc with 3 fingers and a thumb (a dragon claw). This was where Noah kept all the metals and food bars he was constantly making.

 However, with regard to life, the only thing she could sense now was the sea life that had come to make this place home.

Nefertiti took her time moving around the empty palace and as she did she took the liberty of collecting the name plate of the item that meant something to Mistral.  Hoping that she will be grateful and not take it as an invasion of her privacy. Then she moved onward into the flooded place and as she did there was nothing, no signs of life or anything or anyone calling out.  She didn't even encounter any wondering spirits that might linger in this place.  She was sure that they could move one but if they were bonded to this palace then they would still be here.

Letting out a air bubble to show her disappointment in this adventure.

As she got to the black door she was sure that what ever was inside was safe from the water and surely that blasted Dragon would be back to collect his things.  But if some of them were to go missing or used for other purposes.  Who he even miss them or know that they are gone.  She couldn't see past the door and not knowing how deep it may be could be as dangerous as teleporting into ice.

All in all, she did learn something useful.  Her power of Teleportation would bring her into the location that she knew.  Even if it was submerged deeply into water.

Now that she has traveled most of the palace searching for any signs of life and none to be found.  It was time to return back to Milo's estate and change her clothes for they would surely be soaking wet.

Taking a moment to focus her thought of her room, she Teleported back there.

 A moment later Nefertiti was once more standing on solid ground, seawater drenching the floor of Milo's home. She immediately noticed that the terrible presence that had been hovering over the city was now gone.

 A towel and a change of clothes later, she still felt sticky from the salt residue on her skin... and still, no one was home.

Still there was no Milo and Mistral reassured her that he was alive and well.  Then where would he be or has his Sire taken him away from the dangers of the attackers upon him.  If so, then she would be able to claim this place as her and her adopted Sire will surely wish for her to continue his work in the city.

She would need to meet with many of the Kindreds in the city and show that she will do as her adopted Sire did.

The terrible presence had left so does that mean Dracula is gone too. She moved to the window to look out and see if there was any more flying creatures or shadows moving around the ground.

How long was she gone and searching in the flooded palace?  Was it days, was it hours.  It seemed that Time was still not a factor in her mind.  She knew the minor Arcana of Time but still she didn't think she was gone very long.

It seemed that she was going to need to wash this slimy feeling off her delicate skin, moving to the bathroom to wash her body off she then used some oils to help soften her skin.  She  was used to being treated like a princess but now she needed to be treated like a Queen.

The object that she retrieved from the palace lay still upon the bed. A favor object.

 When Nefertiti looked outside, she found that both the fog and winged monstrosities in the sky were gone, along with the shadowy beings in the alleyway. Now the night was quiet, allowing her more than ample opportunity to collect some fruits from the surrounding area.

 It took several hours (most of the night) for Milo to return... and, when he did, he looked weary. He had changed clothes at some point and dragged his body to a chair and sat down, sighing and rubbing his face without acknowledging her for a while. He moved to his refrigerator unit, eying it with suspicion as it opened without the need for his input. Still, he retrieved a packet from the refrigerator and drank it down wearily before finally turning to address you.

 Throughout, his demeanor (tired and weary) did not change. "You have been in contact with another Tzimisce. Explain yourself."

Nefertiti looked upon Milo as he wasn't looking like his normal self, but this version was showing signs of weakness and frailty.  Surely time with his Sire was overwhelming for him.

"Yes a few attacked the driver and drank him dry. she said as she watched him.  "They seemed to know a bit about me and my encounter with your previous High Priestess of the Crone. a sight smirk was at the edge of her lips but she was able to suppress its pleasure of being seen.

"I believe they were trying to recruit me to become a member of what they call Sabbat. she replied.

"They also wished to share some information about your former Children.  They said that you killed them.  Is that true?

 Milo rubbed his face and sighed. "I see. That answers a great many of my questions. To answer yours, yes. You see, many Tzimisce turned to demon worship and it infected their blood. There was a great war to undo the machinations of their malefactor and, unfortunately, I was forced to kill many who share my bloodline.

 Now, did this Tzimisce have a name?"

Nefertiti listened but she wasn't fully sure of the history of the Tzimisce or any Kindreds to be honest.  Her sudden invitation into this world of Vampires was unpredictable or expected.  Now she can live her remaining life as one or follow her own desires to claim her Divinity.  What would happen when she does, would she still have to be part of this Vampiric world.

"His name was Reginald she replied "Vampires turned to Demons to worship? she giggled "Why would they or what would they accomplish from it? she looked at him bewildered at the thought.

Mortals were the ones seeking to worship Demons, her history was surely shorter than she imagined.  If this was something then she would need to regain a lot of knowledge on the World of Kindreds and Demons.

"How did they know about the death of her anyhow?  I thought it was suppose to be something not spoken of or known to in the world? she asked.  Her mind started to race as to the thought of who told such privilege information.

 "Reginald."

 Even though he was tired, he spoke that name as a curse. "That explains the ambush. If Reginald is back, then every Kindred in the city is in danger. I know you have more questions about the Tzimisce but they will need to wait. We need to return to Victor and explain the situation!"

 He stood back up but looked out the window, cursing under his breath. "We won't be able to do so tonight."

 He pulls out his phone. "Victor, yes I know but... I know but... REGINALD IS BACK!"

 There was a pause. "No, I'm not sure and yes I know what that means. Good Morning."

 He hung up and dialed a different number. But that number didn't respond.

Nefertiti was even more intrigued that mentioning that name cause such a panic in her adopted Sire.  Even to the point that he wanted to rush to meet Victor but quickly pulled out one of those darn phone thingies.

"How can I get one of those?  I had no way of contacting you when you were gone. she was pointing at the phone.

"Who is Reginald?

He was very nice toward me in our meeting.

 When no one answered, there was an audible beep. When Milo spoke, Nefertiti could hear the growing concern in his voice. "Sal, this is Milo. We have a problem. We have a major player in town. I would put money on him being the whole reason behind everything that's happened tonight. I'm not certain what he's planning but you need to come and gather your friend as quickly as you're able."

 He sighed and put his phone in his pocket. "If we survive the day, I'll see about getting you one tonight. Reginald is a very powerful member of an organization that does not believe in blending in with Humanity. They seek to dominate which will, eventually, get every one of us killed. Now come."

 Milo led Nefertiti into the basement of his building and locked the doors. He then opened a wall, revealing a small panic room on the other side. "We will be spending the sunlight hours here."

Nefertiti listened to Milo words to Sal and wondered what could Sal do in this situation but take her somewhere where Reginald surely could get to.

Following Milo to the basement and discovering his hidden chamber, she could see that there was some fear in his eye or else he wouldn't be moving into this room and locking the doors afterwards.

Her time with Reginald was enlightening and she wouldn't worry much if he did seem to find a way into this chamber.  But Milo would surely have issues.

Finding a spot she made herself comfortable for the sunlight hours.

 Milo pulled up a piece of floor and crawled beneath the floor. She could see a mattress down in the crawlspace. It would be tight but it could fit two. He motioned for her to follow.

 Whether she did or not, the sun was getting high enough to make her drowsy and he was not really in a position to force her into the crawlspace... so the day would be spent where she chose.

Nefertiti looked down at the opening the back to Milo then back to the small space.

Without saying a word she moved in to it and allowing some time for her Adopted Sire.

 The sun set and Nefertiti and Milo awoke. However, as they tried to exit their bunker, they found that they could not. A great weight had been placed upon their hiding place. The whole place reeked of smoke.

 After several minutes, Milo managed to open the door above him, only to shower you both in ash and rubble. With some effort, you managed to follow the slow, plodding trail Milo made as he dug himself out of the ruin of his home. He said nothing, instead only grunting with the effort it took to dislodge the chunks of concrete and brick.

Nefertiti looked at Milo with a curious expression "I guess someone knows where you live.  Do you think it was Reginald ? she asked as she moved to make sure that the ashes didn't get on her new gown.

This wasn't a good sign and she didn't say anything else but slowly followed behind Milo as he dug a path for them to exit.

Once outside she looked around and wondered if any other buildings were burnt down.  She also looked around to see if there was damaged done to the Strange Fruits that was growing on the other buildings.

 Milo continued to grunt as he dug his way out. Once he was finally above the smoldering ruins, he finally spoke. "It was definitely Reginald. We need to go see Victor immediately and get ahead of this. The streets will run red if the Sabbat is allowed to regain a foothold in New York."

 As he began climbing over the rubble, he approached three burnt out cars in the road in front of the house and he took a deep breath, holding the bridge of his nose. "Looks like we're walking."

Nefertiti looked at the burnt building and now she has to sleep in her own apartment or wait till Sal calls Milo back and having to go stay or somewhere close.

"Do you think Reginald made a move upon Victor, as well? she looked at Milo not showing any concerns of Victor's health.  He made his own bed now it will be nice to see how well his pillows are fluffed.

Letting out a sigh "There is no moving vehicles you can purchase or have someone drive us there. she did wonder if she was able to take someone with her when she Teleported but at the moment she didn't wish to share that ability.

Looking at Milo "Is your sire a member of the Camarilla?

 When asked about Victor, Milo responded. "I doubt it. Victor is the Prince of New York. Unless Reginald had a force ready, he wouldn't risk that kind of maneuver. Remember, a Kindred should only move against another Kindred if they are ready to deal with the retaliation... and the retaliation of a Prince would be terrible indeed.

 As for vehicles, no. Not in the city's current state. I can get a loaner from the Prince when we get there... but that will be its own ordeal."

 Milo's face twitched slightly when she mentioned his father, but his voice remained level. "No. My Father is not part of either of the three main Kindred organizations... he has his own agendas and answers to no one."


 He paused for several minutes as he walked before speaking again. "Come to think of it, there was a visitor to the party Sal hosted many nights back. You were present and speaking to him. He called himself 'Sariel'. What do you know of him?"

She stopped for a moment "Didn't Carmilla threaten Victor to gain access to hunt a non-vampire? Did she have that kind of resources? then she began to follow behind Milo.

This vampire society is full of miscommunications it seems.

"Third, there is another? she sighed again "I have much to learn it seems now that I'm somewhat part of your society.

"Sariel is a friend of Talion and he asked Sal to deliver a package.  I think he said it was a Chess set. she looked at Milo "Do you think he is part of Reginald organization?

 There was a pause from Milo when asked about Carmilla. "Apparently she believed so... but now she is dead. That's how challenging a Prince works. Reginald, on the other hand, is a much more calculating foe."

 WHen asked about the third vampire Faction, Milo nodded. "Yes, there is a third faction. They do not claim membership to the Camarilla but do generally abide by its rules. As such, we are on cordial terms with them... usually. I, personally, deal with the Anarchs in the same manner as I do the Camarilla, so I do have some pull in their circles as well."

 However, Nefertiti's reveal about Sariel provoked a frown. "No, I doubt it. Sariel is a name my Father mentioned once. It was apparently the name of his Sire... though, somehow I doubt that Sariel was Kindred."

Nefertiti was a bit shocked that Milo's father mentioned Sariel but then again he has been around much longer than she has.

Giving a slight smirk at the thought of Carmilla's end but still she didn't cause the final blow.  Letting out a sigh she then continued to follow Milo to Victor's estate.

"Are you not worried about being spotted out in the open?  That is if Reginald is seeking you out.

 Milo nodded. "Very much so. We were being watched from the moment we crawled out of the rubble. Now they are just waiting for an opportune moment to attack."

 With him saying that, she now noticed that he was walking in the middle of the road, never moving too closely to anything that could be used as a hiding place.

Nefertiti didn't think of it but she allowed her Heighten Senses to be active and see what her eyes might see lurking in the shadows that she didn't seem to notice before.

"They.

Would they be the members of this Sabbat you told me about? she softly said as she followed suit with Milo.  She didn't have much fear at the moment but she did wonder if they did make it to Victor's place would Milo be safe still.

He hasn't did anything to provoke her wrath but Victor surely has.  If killing Victor wouldn't cause the city such havoc.  She might lure them there as well and rid one of her problems.

All these thoughts she made sure not to allow them to surface but to remain deep within her own subconscious.  One may never know who might be reading who's thoughts.

"How long do you think it will take us to get there? she asked as if she cared some.  In a blink of an eye, she could place herself there but she didn't have the right spell to take another.  Something she will have to research and create that spell.

 "Possibly, or whatever other minions Reginald has managed to wrangle. The trip is 30 minutes by foot and we've only been walking for 10."

 However, even with her augmented senses active, she was not able to detect anyone following them.

Nefertiti looked around again and she wasn't able to spot anyone or anything lurking in the shadows, but that didn't mean that there wasn't something.  Just more skilled than she was at hiding.

"Maybe we should pick up our pace a bit before something does want to interact with us. she said as she looked at Milo.  She didn't know what skills or Powers he possessed but if there was going to be a encounter, then she would surely watch to see how and what Milo is capable of doing.  Seeing that he is the Childe of this so called famous Dracula.

"Do you wish to spend the day with Victor once we get there or are you going to reach out to Sal again and see if he can accommodate you? she asked "Or you could stay at my place.  That is if all the paperwork is done and its mine.

Then there was a sparkle in her eyes as she remembered about surviving the day what Milo would have for her.  "Will you help me in getting one of those phones? she smiled "We did survive the day. looking around "The night might be a different problem.

 Milo did not pick up his pace, despite Nefertiti's urging. "There will be a time for haste, but not yet. Let us not give ourselves away. We'll worry about phones and apartments once we meet with Victor."

 They continued to walk until they reached a place where the buildings seemed to loom over the streets. The place was abandoned and partially destroyed. Nefertiti had seen it when driving from Victor's place to Milo's.

 It was then that four rough-looking men stepped out from the shadows. Nefertiti recognized one of them from her meeting. It was the man that Reginald had referred to as their "security forces".

 Milo, for his part, remained calm and even seemed almost friendly. "Good evening, Gentlemen. How can I help you?"

 The men circled, chuckling among themselves. "Our associate wants to invite you to come stay a while with him."

 Milo just shook his head. "I'm afraid that I have another appointment this evening. I will be happy to take your associate up on that offer another night."

 The leader just smirked. "And I'm afraid your consent isn't required."

 Milo took a deep breath and then exhaled quickly (as if in irritation). However, his smile only widened. "I'm quite certain that your associate didn't tell you anything about me and I've had a VERY trying evening already. This will not end how you think it will."

 The leader of the four grinned predatorally. "I'm willing to take that bet."

 Each had the grin of an animal and held it for a few seconds before looking confused. Milo continued, unphased. "Wondering why you can't transform?"

 Confusion gave way to surprise and then anger. "You!"

 Milo's smile had turned into a frown of disdain and his eyes had narrowed in anger. "I told you things wouldn't end the way you thought they would. I'm giving you another chance to walk away. The last thing I need tonight are more bodies to deal with."

 The four men blinked, backing away slightly and Milo began walking once more, motioning silently for her to follow.

Nefertiti moved along the street with her adopted Sire and she only hoped that they would make it to Victors without any incidents.  But when they approached a certain area that was abandon she looked at the four figures moving about to intercept them.

She stood there and watched and listened.

It was a surprise that Reginald wanted Milo to come and stay with him for a while.  Not to destroy him.  As Milo continued his calm mannerism she watched him and wanted to see if she was able to sense any Powers being used. Her Arcana may be able to sense it but then again her Blood Magic was her prime power.

When the security forces grinned of an animal and it seemed to remain. The look upon their faces was interesting as it contorted to Anger.  Hearing Milo speak about them not able to transform only gave her a slight idea of what was about to happen.  So they can turn into some animalish being.

Milo's gracious request to allow them to leave without harm was also interesting.

Nefertiti looked at the security forces with pity as they backed away.

Only allowing herself to never use them for protection if Reginald offers them.

"Yes lets continue. she softly said as she followed behind Milo.

 The men didn't retreat but they didn't attack, choosing caution as Milo walked past them. Once they were out of sight, Milo quickened his pace to a brisk walk. "That bought us a few minutes but I doubt it will be enough to dissuade them a second time."

Now that Nefertiti knew they were there she made it an effort to keep track of them in the shadows.  Even if they don't wish to tangle with Milo she also knew that the one didn't really care for her in the first place but Reginald made sure she remained safe while in his care.  Now she only needed to continue on with this journey to meet Victor and to make sure that Milo remains safe but she cared nothing for Victor.

"I'm sure they will not wish to see what other surprises you might hold. she smiled as she moved up to stay at his side.

"What was it you used to stop them from transforming? she asked as they moved onward.  "Is it possible for you to teach me that?

 Milo continued walking at is slightly elevated pace. "I travelled the world for a few centuries and picked up a few esoteric teachings in my time. They deal with both the body and spirit, how to affect and, ultimately, heal the body and soul. I can teach you but these disciplines take years of meditation to master.

 What I did, specifically, was calm their inner spirits, inhibiting their transformation. It won't last long and they'll transform in a few minutes. By then we need to be... anywhere else."

Nefertiti kept up her pace to stay at his side, never to fall behind him. "Do I not have years now that I'm a Kindred. she smiled.  Doing her best to keep a cheerful feeling about things even thought they are now in a dangerous area.

"Plus there is so much more about this life as one of you . there was no hiding her dislike of being a Kindred for now she can't do the things she loved. Walking in the rays of Ra.

There was a slight moment when she looked irritated but then she resumed her beautiful demeanor.

"You mentioned about your father's Sire.  Why did you mention all this and why don't you think it was the same one?  Your father did have a Sire, Right? she asked as they moved forward.

 "As a Kindred, you now have nothing but time. It all depends on how you wish to utilize it. The paths of blood I have to teach cannot be learned without self reflection and understanding... and that takes many mortal lifetimes.

 With regard to my father, he spoke only once of his Sire, the Devil of Broken Tooth Mountain, Sariel. I was very young when it happened, but I remember he went there in order to halt the Turkish invasion.

 I learned of the name when I sought to heal him of his affliction. I have been trying to learn more about the origin of the curse ever since."

Nefertiti looked at Milo and wondered how long ago was this event.  Then something accorded to her mind.

"Milo. she said softly but with a bit of mischievous tone.

"Do you still seek to understand the curse of your Father? she asked now in a more concerning motherly tone.

"What favor would you grant someone who can help you achieve such a answer? it seemed that her mannerism was still calm but her eyes shined of knowledge.

In her own thoughts she knew the truth.  It was the same being, for as she knew Sariel is the God of Transformation.

 Milo stifled a chuckle as he ducked into an alley. "Clever, but negotiations will need to wait."

 A second later, Nefertiti could hear howls behind her. She'd heard those before not long after she'd awakened and the things that had made them had killed one (and nearly killed another) of her companions at the time. "Time to run."

 Milo grabbed Nefertiti around the waist and burst into a dead sprint. Milo was fast when he wanted to be, easily outrunning the cars she'd seen going down the road up until now. Seconds later, she saw four gigantic black wolves bursting through the alley behind them.

 They were much slower than he was and 30 seconds later, Milo was at Victor's building. He didn't even take the time to slow down enough to open the glass door, instead shattering through like hell itself was on his heels, spraying the security guard at the front desk (and Nefertiti) with glass. (soak 1 damage with Stamina)

 The security guard immediately stood and drew his weapon but Milo shouted "Code brown! Code Brown NOW!"

 There were a few more seconds of doubt, in which time Milo had crossed the distance and hit the lockdown button.

 Alarms blared and gun turrets emerged from panels in the walls as steel walls emerged from where the windows once were. He finally put Nefertiti down, grabbed both her and the guard by the wrist and began pushing both toward the stairwell.

Nefertiti was a but shocked at hearing the howling but then she had to wonder was that those guards that Reginald had.  Were those the corrupted beast that her, Michael and Jay fought.  She thought that they were all killed by that ritual that Noah talked Talion in preforming.  The whole city should of been cleaned of those corrupted beings.

If they were of a normal creature of the wolves then she might of been able to negotiate with them if they were the same ones that she met some time ago and saved her from Carmilla's entrapment.

But all that was gone once Milo grabbed hold of her and they were gone in a flash.

If he could of done this now, why didn't he just do it at the beginning and avoid a lot of headaches. She started removing small shards of glass out of her newly flesh. Then she was pushed again by Milo to go to the stairway.

As some of her blood fell to the ground she was then prepared to invoke a spell that would allow her to watch what all happens in the area.

"As you wish. You would know better in situations like this. she replied as she moved to the stairway and onward.  As she did her hand followed along the wall as her eyes were soon to witness anything entering into that area.

 As Nefertiti began running upstairs, Milo turned to face the furry death monsters that were on their trail. As she ran, she could hear the rending of metal and the snarling of beasts from below.

OOC: I believe that Blood Witness robs you of your senses in the present, does it not? So you'll need to find some place safe if you want to use it or risk falling.

OOC: Yes she will loose her sight.

Not sure how the stairway is set or how long they will be in the stairway.  She was going to use moving along the wall to continue upwards if it did go.

OOC: that will slow you down considerably. The stair goes upward in a spiral. You ca do that but you will risk tripping and also will slow down considerably so you'll fall behind if one of the werewolves gets past Milo. Still going to use it on the move?

OOC: She Will move forward and watch the whole fight another way If the stairs would make things difficult

 Nefertiti slowed considerably once out of Milo's sight, making her way deliberately and with great care up the stairs in order not to fall. It was quite difficult to remain upright while climbing a stairwell without sight.

OOC: Black wolf creatures, I thought but these are not the corrupted ones that can infect someone from their bites?

Or do they look like the wolves that entered into Carmilla's place?

Nefertiti was a bit shocked at what she was seeing and once she noticed that Milo was able to handle one so quickly she allowed her sight to return back to normal and start moving up the stairs with the guards.  But she didn't like the fact that they didn't remain down there to help in any way.

It was another issue that she found to show some sort of weakness in the type of people/vampires that work under this Victor.

Keeping her own thoughts well hidden while within these walls were now needed.  And she also allowed her Heighten Senses to listen if any creature started coming up the stairs.  Keeping a spell prepared and ready.

She would have to see how well these creatures like to be set ablaze, with a slight thought she could burn the flesh off most beings.  These creature would surely be a challenge to see if they can resist her fire or to be put into an Enchanting Sleep.  Which spell would she use would only be known if one was to come past Milo.

Surely Victor is well aware of what is happening and she was wondering if she was going to witness what Powers he possess.

 The alarms blared as Nefertiti ran up the stairs but stopped abruptly as she reached the top floor. The security guards were ahead of her, guarding the entrance to his penthouse and the adjoining room.

 However, a few moments after the alarms stopped, Victor emerged from the guarded room, informing the guards that they could return to their posts. He then waved for you to enter, leaving the door open for you to follow.

Nefertiti moved up the stairs and when the alarms stopped she looked back down the stairs to see if Milo was behind them.  Then she heard Victor speaking to his guards seeing him wave for her to come inside.

Taking a few more steps to get up to the door she looked inside and then entered "Is Milo alright? she first asked "Is there anyway to make sure he is. she asked.  There was a concerning tone in her voice but it would be expected of someone who just witnesses what she did.

She watched Victor to see where he was going and what he did next.

 Victor returned to his chair and sat down, motioning for her to close the door behind her. "He is, yes. Cameras should be turning on once we've dealt with the bodies. However, he should be joining us before then."

There was a look of relief upon her face when Victor spoke the words "he is".  Letting out a soft sigh then she looked to Victor as he sat there.

"What kind of foul beings were they?  I have seen a few different types of Lycan but those ones seemed corrupted and diseased. she asked as she shut the door.

 "Black Spiral Dancers. They seemed corrupted because they are. They are one of the few types of werewolf that inhabit the cities. They're a problem even for elders to deal with normally."

 At roughly that point, Milo emerged from the door behind them, smelling awful. Victor nodded at him. "I trust you had no problems dealing with our uninvited guests?"

 Milo sighed. "I had to break a few of my rules, but no. Unfortunately, the leader escaped."

 "Good. I'll have him tailed. We could learn much from this. Good work."

 "My Prince, Reginald has returned."

 "That explains a lot. Where did you come across this information?"

 Milo gestured toward Nefertiti and Victor rubbed his chin. "Well done. You seem to be thriving under Milo's tutelage. Your aid in this matter deserves a reward. Is there anything you had in mind?"

Nefertiti turned around when the door opened and gave a soft smile to Milo seeing that he was alright, but the smell did make her nose turn slightly.  It has been centuries since anything ever foul smelling crossed her senses.

"Were they sent by Reginald as well? she asked.  "Were those the same ones that we meet on our walk here? she asked hoping to make sense out off all this political interaction between the two Factions.  It was a serious and deadly hatred for sure, if they were related problems.

She listened to how Victor spoke so calmly to Milo and in return his mannerism was also calm.

Looking at Victor when spoken to "I'm still learning the ways of your society.  May I speak to you at a later time for the right reward? 

Then she looked to Milo "He hasn't given me a reply to an answer he seeks. then she smiled.

 When asked about the werewolves being sent by Reginald, Victor nodded. "It is almost certain, yes... and yes, they were. There were more, waiting in ambush, but I dealt with them quietly before your arrival."

 When Nefertiti asked if she could wait on her reward, Victor nodded. Though he did not show it on his face, his voice held an approving tone. "That is a good answer... and yes, you may."

 Milo, for his part, closed his eyes and let out a small chuckle. "Yes. She is quite right. I do owe her an answer. That answer is that I have many ties in this city. Many favors are owed to me... and I will trade you one for the answer to my question."

Nefertiti smiled to each for their replies were perfect

"There is a rule that must be in place now and until the end of the conversation that is about to happen.

Neither Your Sire looking at Milo "Name may be spoken or your guest. still looking at Milo "Your guest will be the one that lived in the Broken Tooth Mountain she let that sink into Milo before anything else was said.

 Milo mouthed the words "Broken Tooth" and his eyes widened for a moment. However, his voice was calm. "I promise."

 He looked at Victor, who looked between them too. "No names. That's fair. You have me curious now."

Nefertiti looked around the room and when she saw a book she looked to Victor "May I use this for a moment? she asked kindly.

When given permission she placed it in a chair next to the desk and stepped  back a moment.

"May I introduce our Unnamed Guest. Lets call him Setti.

When the book hit the chair a shadowed outline sat back on the chair and smiled like a cut in the film of the shadow. From outside of Nefertiti's sight another image of the silken-haired man walked into the room and sat in the chair merging with the shadow. Again one from outside of Milo's vision and merged. From outside of Victor's vision yet another. Again and again, until twelve white-robed versions of the same man all merged and sat in the chair. He set his red and white folded scythe next to the chair on the floor and sighed. "You called, I've come. Let us dance with words."

 The other two Kindred watched as the newcomer merged multiple forms into one. They waited until he spoke, at which point, Victor's face took on the appearance of mild annoyance. "Oh, it's you. Did you at least move out the pool table when you left?"

 Milo quirked an eyebrow at the exchange, but said nothing. "My childe mentioned that you were the occupant of Broken Tooth mountain. Is that really true?"

"It's in there for when you need to escape to a safe spot within your own mindscape Victor. The garden will be going in soon."

He smiled at Milo, "I will be, or at least one of my offshoots will. Time Travel is a power of mine, as is personal sublimation. This version of myself comes from my last moments on the world his benefactor and I share." He pointed at Victor. "My signature power is unmistakeable, and never have I seen my signature so imprinted on the face of a man so as I have seen as your father."

"So I either will do it in your past but my future or one of my branches had done it. Either way, I invented the technique used to make him. What do you wish to know?"

 Victor made another face but said nothing. Milo furrowed his brow. "I want to know why. What plan do you have with my Father. What role does he play in your machinations?"

Sariel had heard that question many times over. At its core, it was the 'why do bad things happen' question posed to gods often. "At my core I am transformation itself, I cannot be anything but that. My every thought and action is a desire to push mortals to become greater than myself. It is the same I have done with our mutual friend. He reached his full potential and I pushed him gently to send him on his next tier of potential."

"If you want, in four days I will return to the world physically. I will be willing to meet with your father to loosen his tongue for you."

"Though tell me, why do you want to know? Would knowing help you truly? Knowing my full nature to be only evolution, does that alter your quest? Does knowing my only desire is to see each mortal to surpass me sour or sooth your quest?"

 Milo paused for a long moment. "I have spent a very long time understanding our condition and what it is... but never why it is. This is not evolution. It is stagnation! It steals the potential of men and freezes them in time. Why would a creature of evolution steal my father's potential? You sound as though it isn't something you've done yet, but knowing why is a piece of this puzzle that cannot be ignored... and it is a piece of the puzzle that I need to understand if any Kindred is to be able to move forward."

Sariel took it in. "None of you are static, not even slightly. With the people in this room alone I have proven that you can vastly surpass any seals. Victor is quickly coming to surpass his limits on the next class of creatures, soon to be able to play in the same playground as our communal friend. Nefertiti there has begun her own path, well shedding the limits imposed on her by my mother, her enemy, and pretty much anyone else seeking to stuff her into their own frame."

"Even you are starting to branch out into a new realm of potential."

"Though you are telling the truth there, many vampires I have seen have had something stolen from them. I would be very interested in seeing that corrected."

"But if you are looking for a why. Either he had reached his potential and needed a door he could choose to walk through. Or there is a threat on such a scale that is insurmountable to mortals, and your father stepped up."

 Milo paused for a moment. "I see. I would very much like to hear what you learn after speaking with my father. He does not speak of that day to me. I think my ambitions to move Kindred society forward may be partly why."

"The progress of your people is a goal worthy of someone solid like you. I look forward to your success."

"Though don't think that I am twisting my words. To me, I haven't made your father as he is yet. Backwards from the point of my destruction, the end is my introduction. Time travel is confusing and rarely worth the effort. I've been to the end of a world. The result of inaction justified all actions to prevent it. A great evil that knowledge of it acts as poison."

"I would not invoke that seal on your father without extreme consideration. The seal on him replicates the seal on my adopted father. He was a powerful and just man. Free choice a iron clad law of his will."

"For what it is worth I am sorry. For any pain and suffering I will cause you. Under an agreement if peaceful conduct I agree to meet with your father."

 Milo nodded. "Thank you. I do hope that he will be more forthcoming to you than he has been to me."

"Anything else anyone needs before I go back into the knowasphere?"

 No one needed anything else. Milo and Victor gave Sariel a polite farewell.

This was Milo’s moment so Nefertiti remained quiet but listening to every word being said. She hopes that this meeting was enough to satisfy Milo’s questions of WHY his father became who he is.

When all was done she smiled to the guest and bid him farewell

This also allowed her to understand a bit more about her own Echo.

 Milo stared at the chair in which Sariel had appeared for several moments before turning to Victor. "Well, that was interesting. Might I call in one of my favors with you to get a place to stay for a while?"

 Victor nodded. "Indeed. I'll have a place prepared before sunrise."

 Milo gave a slight bow. "Thank you, my Prince. If you have no other business with us, we will take our leave. I have many calls to make and I promised Nefertiti a new phone."

 Victor nodded and Milo excused himself, leading Nefertiti out the door.

Nefertiti looked at Milo as he stared at the chair and she wondered what was running through his mind. Now that he met the God responsible for his fathers next tier of evolution. Did he understand the meaning of truly discovering his fathers plan.

There was nothing else needed here and she gave a nod of her head to Victor as Milo lead her out of the room

“Do you plan to speak with your Sire on the matter?she asked as they walked down the stairs.

“This world has many factors to understand and I have just recently awaken from a long slumber.  I will need to meet more of those that are Kindred. as they reached the bottom of the stairs. She looked around the wool to see if there was still any evidence of what just transpired here.

 This time, they took the elevator.

 Milo shook his head as he waited for the door to open. "No. My Father has already said all that he will to me on the matter."

 It was strange, "Sire" was the proper term but Milo continued to call him "Father".

 "There are many calls I need to make tonight. Soon there will be a gathering at Elysium... it is a place where Kindred can gather and converse freely. You will need to attend and there you will meet many Kindred."

 The conversation took them down to the bottom floor where the guards were cleaning up concrete, metal shards, and living fur suits and then out the front door.

 Milo continued to walk with Nefertiti down the street. "Now, first things first. We need to get you a new pho-"

 Suddenly, without warning, a blur shot out soundlessly from the darkness, staking Milo on the chest. He fell over instantly, not moving.

 From the darkness came a familiar voice. "You really need to brush up on your tactics, Milo. There is never a better time to strike than when your opponent believes the danger to be past. At least those canines were good for something."

 Reginald came walking out from the shadows, crossbow in hand, with his retinue at each side, grabbing him and spiriting him off into their van, still within the shadow of Victor's penthouse. He smiled at Nefertiti and gave a bow. "Greetings again, Nefertiti. It's good to finally meet you when your hands aren't currently full. Will you be joining us?"

As Nefertiti and Milo were walking down the street and then Milo falls to the ground only set her on an alarming status.  Her eyes moved around to see what or who cause this so quickly and so silently.  A silent killer.

Her eyes looked at Milo in sheer fear that he was dead.

Then out of the Shadows stepped a familiar figure and the voice was surely his. "Is he dead? she asked. As she never been fully introduced into the Kindred lifestyle and what it means to be staked.

She then smiled to Reginald "I thought you never ask. as she moved over to him and watched the retinue take Milo into the van.

"I don't think your guards will be returning.  From what I saw, their skins were removed from the bodies. she kindly said as she took his hand.

 Reginald smiled and shook his head, offering her his hand. "Of course not. His Father is not the sort of man I mean to cross if I can help it. He is just... indisposed for a while. He hides his fangs but he is quite dangerous if pressed. As for my guards, you needn't worry. I have already made arrangements."

 Reginald led her to the van and, like before, asked her to blindfold herself on the way there.
