Hank and Nefertiti, and others

Hrafen had wanted to discuss with Nefertiti (and Michael) the issues at hand involving the Kindred. His people were about to undergo a horrific civil war, and no matter how anybody wanted to dress the words up to make them 'pretty', he knew what the last civil war looked like... and that was with the Camarilla taking over. Reginald was far more bloody in his methods.

He supported Reginald, but wanted to abide by Michael's preferences when possible, and he certainly wanted to help Nefertiti in her endeavors. Whenever he detected multiple supernatural creatures 'hating on' somebody like Nefertiti, it was one of a few things... usually jealousy, but also fear. When powerful creatures feared a woman, it was best to stay close, and keep his own eye on things. He didn't yet know which 'side' was the healthier option, but he knew there were definitely sides, and he needed to know which one was the one for himself (and possibly Michael).

Having contacted Nefertiti about a meeting between himself, her and Michael, Hrafen approached her abode, knowing that her servants would be around somewhere. He figured a simple booming voice might gather some attention,

"I am here." he said flatly at the door.

Michael had certainly been busy the past month, but with the vampire civil war close to eruption he had to speak to what would be two major players in that confrontation. Nef was always complicated and confrontational but not without reason. He could sense Hank was a sleeping giant capable of mass violence. The man seemed to want to keep it in check, something probably best for everyone. Restraint was often a commodity with those capable of extreme power. The priest arrived standing next to Hank. “We meet again.”Michael waited to be greeted by one of Nef’s followers.

With Hank calling out, the door opened slowly as one of the followers was standing there to greet them wordless. Nodding his head with a slight grunt he allowed the two to enter the building.

Moments later Nefertiti comes out to greet them “Oh have done something to capture someone’s attention? she jest as they stood there.

Shall we take a walk and talk she extended her hand toward the door. It’s just a lot to have them showing up at her front door unannounced or unexpected. She had many things to deal with and she didn’t wish for anything to come at her front door.

Michael nodded and offered his arm to escort her. “Sorry to drop by unannounced. We just wanted to talk with you about current events and just making sure we are all on the same page. Besides, aren’t you always happy to see us?”He gives a playful wink.

Hrafen was pleased to see that Nefertiti's servants were quite useful in regards to answering known guests, so he hadn't just looked like an idiot standing there calling into the darkness.

As Michael took her arm, Hrafen fell in step with the pair, and listened. He smiled when Michael and Nefertiti both traded jests, and he nodded,

"The civil war between Reginald and the Camarilla is amping up. We should discuss our positions on such a change, and I certainly feel we should discuss what we are willing to do to maintain Michael's desired neutrality, while we obviously must work with one side or another." glancing towards Michael he asked, "Perhaps it would be best to ask you first: do you feel siding with Reginald would accomplish neutrality to your satisfaction, so long as we endeavored to protect the innocent at every possible junction?"

Nefertiti was glad to see her two favorite of the so called Cabal.  But then again was Hank even invited into the Cabal.  She knew that he spoke to Talion before his sudden vanishing after that hymen.  But what was written on that piece of paper was a bit of a mystery as well.

"Yes.  I'm always glad to see you two. she replied.

When Hank spoke she gave her full attention to Michael for it was all up to him at the moment, which Hank allowed.

Michael considered his next statements before responding. “The two of you can join whatever side you wish. You both know my stance on the war to come. I will do my best to hold individual offenders accountable instead of one side as a whole. If those offenders are brought forth for punishment, then no harm will befall anyone else. However anyone that attempts to prevent that justice will be considered an accomplice to the offense and be tied to the same judgement. This way it promotes that each side patrol their own members to prevent such mishaps from occurring. Honestly all this would be so much simpler if Sal and Milo were not involved.”

Nefertiti listened for she too liked hearing the last part. "Yes what is Sal's aspect in all this.  Maybe he should of been here as well.  He is part of the Cabal who will surely side with the Camarilla she looked over to Hank briefly.

Then she returned her eyes upon the priest "Have you had your talk with Sal and Victor? her eyes sparkled at the mentioning of Victor

Hearing about Sal, Hrafen ticked that little bit of information away in his memory. Sal would be a problem.

"If he is dead-set on supporting the Camarilla, then perhaps he should not be here." he urged cautiously.

Michael thought about it. “Sal supports Milo who supports Victor is my impression, but I could be wrong. I haven’t had my conversation with Victor yet. I could simply inform him of my intentions along others who would wish to stay neutral in this conflict that we will only interfere with whoever hurts the innocent and people who would rather stay away from this war. My only goal is to protect those who want no part in this. Hurting innocent bystanders or using them as shields or fodder will not be tolerated. I hope he can agree to that.”

Nefertiti laughed a bit "Do you really believe that?  You was there when he threaten my life to follow his ways and bow to him or be hunted like a dog. she shook her head "If it wasn't for you.  I might not be standing here today.  Ambassador.

Looking at Michael "Lets hope that he keeps his word and not use some ploy to do something underhanded. looking to Hank "I don't trust Victor, the coward that he is. Using my adopted Sires connections to only further his own.

Michael squeezed her arm with his own gently. “I had to help a friend. I do believe in you even though we don’t always agree time to time. We are both very stubborn and steadfast in our convictions and beliefs. Perhaps that’s why I fancy you because you are fearless. Do you think Reginald would ever let you go without consequences if you asked him to? He seems more prone to allowing individuals to pursue their own path than Victor. I know that you may feel beholden to him though for the gifts he has given you.”

The priest looked over at Hank. “I don’t believe it is as much supporting the Camarilla as not supporting the Sabbat. From what I’ve seen, Sal has only had to be involved when Victor or Milo’s life/reign has been threatened or controlled by someone else. Reginald altering Milo’s mind did not help matters. I have seen what his father can do. I would rather not have him return if at all possible.”

"It seems that he is only helping me to regain the things that I had before I became this.  Which is something that Victor sanctioned. she replied "But you must also understand that if Reginald wished for destruction.  All he needed to do was kill Milo when he had the chance. Instead a bit of mind altering that we don't fully understand yet. she gazed at Hank then smiled "It may be just a game that only those two are privy of understanding.

Listening carefully, Hrafen responded,

"It is more than not supporting, as Reginald is clearly vying for control." turning towards Michael he added, "Reginald is one of very few who know my capabilities, at least to a degree, and yet he allowed me to walk away from the previous Camarilla and Sabbat war simply because I'd asked to. No demands, no force. He will allow her to walk away, if she requests it." he said flatly.
