The Silver Ladder had a headquarters in new York in a warehouse they used for gatherings. There was a back room to allow mages with Space or Spirit arrive unimpeded (though there were wards that would immediately activate if anyone came through that was not a part of the organization.

 With a little persuading, Argentus persuaded Mistral (I'm assuming?) to portal him there. Otherwise, he'd need to brave the rage spirit storm to head there himself... though most of the spirits had cleared away and, since the attack, the rage spirits had showed him some degree of favor (in the form of not attacking him if he got too close. They were still far from friendly)… so, either way, Argentus found himself in the warehouse.

 It had suffered major damage and there had been nearly a dozen casualties... mostly among the Spirit mages. The mages were busy re-sealing the windows and had managed to clean up most of the blood, glass, and burnt flesh from inside. Most of the younger mages huddled together inside of the shelter, traumatized by what had occurred while the more experienced ones were in a conference on the second floor.

Argentus looked around at the damage.  He considered pitching in himself to help, but he wanted to get to the conference.  "Niri, could you please work on redirecting the worst of the lightning away from the building?  And Jitters, would your powers over the substance of caffeine allow you to re-energize those who are working... or at least empower their drinks to do so?"

After a moment's consideration, he put a hand on the outer wall of the building, and began to subtly alter its slumbering spirit.  He sought to imbue the essence of the building with his own spiritual signature, hoping that it would mark it as related to him, and thus a place not needing as much wrath as the surrounding terrain.

He then moved on to attempt to join the upstairs conference.

14:45, Today: Argentus rolled 6 successes using 8d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s ((9,6,9,10(+4),9,9,4,8)).

OOC: This is the aftermath. The building is no longer under attack, though the spirits are still flying around. If you want to do these things, they still can but nothing is currently under attack.


 The upstairs conference room was guarded by two of the more martially capable of the remaining Silver Ladder members. However, they both look drained and lightly injured, judging from the bandages. They stop you. "There is a conference in progress. No one is allowed inside."

OOC2: You have no Status, so you're not normally allowed to enter.

When Argentus came asking for transport to a local Silver Ladder headquarters, Mistral readily obliged.  She was also curious about what changes this calamity would have upon the hidden society of mages.  After some investigation she was able to descry the location he described, but discovered the wards guarding the arrival chamber.  She said to Argentus, “I may open le Porte, but I cannot enter without destroying the wards on the other side, which I expect would not be taken kindly.  I would recommend against going alone, but if you would like accompagnement you shall need to negotiate it with your Order.”

I’ll await to see whether Argie wants Mist along and if so, whether he manages to successfully negotiate her passage.  I reckon there might be a bit of a challenge to persuade them to let a Guardian space mage into their HQ :)

 The guard looked at you in shock (as you had been "dead" for a few months now) and rapped on the door, indicating you to the man who popped his head out.

 That man looked at you with a bit of shock, closed the door for a couple of moments before opening it again, motioning for you and the guards to come inside.

 Once inside, the upper echelon of the Silver Ladder (now including a guy you didn't recognize). The leader spoke. "Who are you?"
