Might and Magic (0.2.6c)

Chance, still on his search for others like him, got directions from Michael and headed off on his own. Fortunately, the markings for mage safehouses are easy enough to find for those who know what to look for and he himself was now in a warehouse.

It wasn't much but it had generator power, which was more than most places. This was a Free Council meeting house and it was stocked to the brim with those strange brown fruits.

Rooting around about the events in New York revealed that the storm had been caused by rage spirits and storm leviathans... creatures that should, by all accounts, exist only in the deepest of Twilight. There were also rumors of the appearance of an actual dragon and that the Heiromagus had been found.

The stories, you found, were hearsay and surely exaggerated... but by how much?

Chance did his best to try and puzzle through what had happened, but he'd never really been one for solving mysteries. But hearing rumors of the Hieromagus, well that was interesting. Interesting enough that he wondered if the rumors had the weight of Fate behind them, or if like most rumors, were simply the result of people grasping at straws to try and explain something they didn't understand. He turned his eye, and his sight, to that thought, examining the strands of Fate to see if they tugged on the thought.

Whenever a mage reached out to Fate, it was nearly always with the intent to seek an answer... and Fate usually provided those answers so long as the mage was clever enough to know which questions to ask.

However, as he reached out to Fate this time, what he received was not an answer, but a question.

 Are you?

The question reverberated through his Pattern, shutting off his supernal vision with an electric jolt.
