OOC: as per request. You guys set up the background to your meeting.

Nefertiti was very interested in learning more about the Vampire Society that Sal was surely a member of.  Taking the time she made sure to plan a meeting place where he would feel comfortable and without prying eyes or ears to overhear the conversation.

Sitting at a bench in a lonely park she waited for Sal to meet her there.

The day was still early and the air was a bit crisp, which is why she was wearing a bit of a fur coat to keep the chill off her delicate skin.  Her eye was well decorated as they always was showing her Egyptian heritage.

Sal too wore a coat, though mostly for appearances (and to more easily conceal his pistol.) He also wore a beanie and scarf. "You know, we could have just met in my room in the amethyst palace. One moment, don't be alarmed, I'll be right back." Sal's body went limp for a moment.

Nefertiti nodded as she watched him approach the bench, giving him a slight smile.

"I wanted to have conversation out here in the city.  The area is much different than what I would imagine. gazing out at the areas that has been destroyed or just gone.  Shaking her head to the devastation.  But also looking at the world in new eyes may help rebuild it into a better and more protective place.

Nodding her head as she watched his body go limp.

Sal sits back up straight, "Indeed, even the changes of the last two centuries or so would be startling, if I hadn't seen most of them happen myself. You have questions. I will answer them as well as I am able-- or permitted-- but I expect you to do the same about mine. It is very rare I meet anyone older than I."

She smiled "Of course.

"From our traveling together I understand that your well in the society of the Kindreds.  I must say that I was hoping to meet up with any members of the Crone so that I may regain my status.

Would you be able to set up a meeting for me to meet a member of some status?

Sal smiled. "I'm in an... unusual position in Kindred society. I have to work my back up from the bottom, but there are those who stand to gain from my quick ascension, or would gladly aid it in exchange for my help, especially now. I never had much contact with the Crones, but I could ask the Prince. He would want to meet you, I'm sure."

Sal continued, "I have a condition, however, before I can introduce you to any Kindred: They are not to be informed of my ability to walk in the daylight, nor any of the other abilities Talion has rewarded me with. You must swear, on something you hold sacred, not to reveal them."

She batted her eyes when mentioning of meeting the Prince.

"Why would he want to meet a lonely being like myself? she smiled.

Listening to he condition(s)
"You do bring up a good matter Sal.  I would not betray your trust as long as you are willing to agree on the same contract.  Not to indulge any information about my abilities and gifts from Talion.

Wondering what would be something she could swear upon when she has nothing of value at the moment.
"I am hurt that you don't trust me.  But to easy your mind I swear on my vow as a Priestess of Isis.

Do you agree on Pact? she was looking him up and down and wondering why he thought she would reveal his secrets when she don't wish for anyone to know of hers.

He returns her smile."Good. I vow on my reputation, and my hope to restore it, not to reveal your secrets."

He pauses, then adds, apologetically, "If I didn't trust you, I wouldn't bother asking you to make a vow. The vow just illustrates how important it is to keep these secrets. For example, I'm sure in your time, the same as today, a Kindred's reputation was of the utmost importance. I trust that your vows as a priestess are every bit as important to you as Michael's vow to his god. I agree on Pact. As for why the Prince would want to meet you: No one takes part it Kindred society in this city without the Prince's approval, let alone gets introduced to high ranking members of a Covenant."

She acknowledged his agreement on the Pact then looked him up and down for a moment.

"I'm not Kindred.

Would your Prince approve of me interacting with the Kindred of his city?  Surely he would demand some sort of payment.  One that I may not wish to accept.  Surely those things still happen in these times as it did so many years ago. taking a moment of fresh air to ponder upon something.

"Do you have means to find a member of the Circle without involving the Prince?

She knew she was a unique being but if the Prince was to know of her existence surely he would want to try to own her.

Sal shook his head, "I wish I did. Kindred or not, if you were to meet with a high ranking Crone, Victor would find out, and even if I were capable of such a thing, if I made that introduction without telling him, it would not reflect well on me. My loyalty to Victor is open to question for any who want to defame me."

"Yes, he would want something in return for introducing you to the Crones, but you would be under no obligation to take a deal once proposed. You may not be Kindred, but you could be mistaken for a member of an obscure bloodline. The power the Husk siphoned from you was indistinguishable from one all of my kind have in common. You can clarify the potential misunderstanding, or use it."

"Regardless, you can interact with the Kindred without taking part in our society. People do it every night without realizing it. But to meet with those with power and influence, and discuss things covered by the Masquerade, that requires taking part, and thus, Victor's approval. That said, his demand would depend on what you ask of him. Victor is not, as rule, unreasonable. If you give him a reason why the Crones would want to see you, he may ask for little more than a token. If the Crones would see meeting you as a possible waste of their time, they will demand a favor from him, and that will cost you."

Nefertiti looked up to the sky and nodded her head

"Let it be so, you can arrange a meeting so that I may be granted a member of the Crone to speak with.

Sal said, "How should I refer to you? 'Kindred' would only stand up to the barest scrutiny, I think. Demigoddess might be scoffed at, but with evidence, might get the Circle's interest-- of course, they might not let you leave freely. I suppose, I could just say you are a mutual ally of Talion wishing to do some business of a sort with the Crones. What is it you wish of them, if you don't mind my asking?"

Nefertiti nodded her head in agreement as to informing them that she was a Demigoddess, that wouldn't go over so well with the Prince and surely the Crones would try to determine if I did possess Divine.

"I must agree with you, to inform the Prince that I am a ally of Talion.  That alone should grant some intertest in me. she smiled as she tilted her head to the side.

"My interested in the Crones is a bit personal.  But when I do meet a Elder Crone, she might understand why I seek audience with them. she said calmly.

"But if your Prince needs a reasoning, then it would be research of Rituals.  Something that he would not wish to be shared but it will be.  One way or another.

Sal said with a nod, "Very well. I'll do what I can. If the Prince refuses to meet with you, you may have to wait some time, as I rebuild my influence in the city."
