Finder's Keepers (0.4.0b) (solo) (Maddie)

Maddie found herself outside of a house in a residential area of Queens behind what was once a residential district. Now it was almost impossible to tell what had once been there. The building itself was damaged but still mostly intact, despite the next twenty buildings nearby having vanished entirely down to their very foundations.

She was with 4 other members of the Sons of Roc, sent here on a mission. This house was once a Haven for a group of other... jedi ... and their equipment likely remained inside. Their job was to recover the equipment and to see if any clues were to remain behind.

Finder's Keepers (0.4.0b) (solo) (Maddie)

This world continued to surprise her. She thought of it as a backwater. It was at the cusp of being extra-solar, sending carbon fueled rockets to it's own moon. It had feral Wookies and it's own kind of Jedi. They called themselves Maji, but they were just primitive Jedi. She seemed to be the only one with a Lightsaber, and they seemed very intrigued by the Kyber crystal that fueled it. They did focus the force into their own weapons, though. Her logical conclusion was that this planet had no Kyber.

Her own mode of dress had changed but only slightly. She found what was fairly close to a set of Jedi robes, here they were called Kung-Fu robes. Silly how some things show up in all cultures. She had found a long brown coat, but they had no hood. That was okay, she rarely wore the hood up. She wore nice soft leather boots she had found in a garbage pile. These Sons of Roc Jedi dressed like people from their own backwater planet.

Standing out front of the building they were suppose to raid she noted that there should have been other buildings on either side. This world had suffered some kind of cataclysm which as far as she could gather was caused by a Sith of some kind. This group of Roc Jedi needed supplies and frankly she could use some as well. The Roc Jedi seemed nervous and none willing to take the lead. She snorted, "Master Yoda would be displeased. Fear leads to the Dark Side. Lets push fear aside and head in." She moved and opened the door.

Finder's Keepers (0.4.0b) (solo) (Maddie)

The other Sons of Roc paused for a long moment, looking from one to another as Maddie approached the door and found it to be locked. One of the members, who called himself Shade if she remembered correctly, approached the door.

He pulled out a set of lockpicks and set himself to the task of opening the door. "Looks like the ward they had up is still intact somehow. It'll take me a minute or two to get us in."

Meanwhile, another of the group, who called himself Chrona, was examining the front yard where the bodies had been found. He was also looking around to see if there was anyone around them.

 There wasn't.

So Chrona pulled out a small metal cube and sat it on the ground where a hologram of the events of the storm had played out. It showed 8 … jedi … battling with multitudes of some kind of small winged creatures wielding electricity. The "battle" took only a minute or so before they were overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Chrona sighed. "Just like the other Havens. Anyone who chose to fight were slaughtered."

Roughly that time, Shade popped the lock and the door opened. The inside was well decorated with items likely carrying some sort of local historical value. Swords, sculptures, books, and banners. It felt a little cluttered and the living room seemed to have been converted into a group study.

The four other members spread out in the main room to study the items present. There were other rooms as well (Maddie could see through the door into the kitchen behind them and the dining room to the right) but the others seemed content to take the house one room at a time.

Maddie watched curiously at Chrona's display. It had been a while since she had seen a holodisk display. She did not even know this backwater world could produce such. What it showed was awful. "Are those Mynochs?" Her voice is filled with concern. Then the door gave way and they entered. She did not know exactly what they were looking for, but she knew what she needed: food, water, and medicine. She went to the kitchen and began looking for those things first.

When Maddie mentioned Mynochs, Chrona furrowed a brow but another of the group (Maddie couldn't remember his name) whispered something into his ear. There was a spark of recognition on Chrona's face. "Oh! Mynochs. Yeah, seems like."

As the others inspected the living room, Maddie found that the kitchen held quite a few canned goods and dried foods. Beans, fruits, meats. All were stocked in cans or plastic bags and dried. There was also a first aid kit in one of the cabinets.

However, opening the refrigerator proved to be a mistake as she was assaulted by the smell of mold and rotten foods inside.

The kitchen opened up into a dining room and a hallway that led to a bathroom and several bedrooms.

Maddie put what she found into her shoulder bag. Opening the fridge made her gag and she closed it quickly. She took a moment to regain her senses before looking around again. She called back to the Roc Jedi, "Hey, what are we looking for? I found what I need, so if you guys just let me know I can help." She turned back and looked again, reporting what she saw, "There is a corridor, with sever sleeping chambers and a place for washing and deficating."

The last of the group, he called himself Charlie but she was reasonably sure that wasn't his real name, spoke up. "Research. That and any relics they were hoarding. It would be dangerous to leave any of that out for normal people to find. So look for anything handwritten or anything like your... light saber."

Looking back in the living room, they had been methodically going through all the books in the living area and there were a few knickknacks in their satchels too.

Maddie found that her ability to sense the Force was... inadequate. There was no power in the house. Thus there was no heat or AC and so nothing much to read other than the subtle shifts in the cosmic forces... which she could only vaguely pick up.

However, as she was looking around, she noticed something off in the hallway though she couldn't put her finger on what or find anything out of the ordinary.

Investigation has been rolled. It is your acute senses and intuition that has alerted you to something being off in the first place. Everyone else is entirely oblivious. The spells bit is just to list what is active in the event there is a major trap spell on a wall or something, pays in the event we need to apply spells to help you avoid dabblage. or you could be aware to the uranium in the cupboards.

Upon hearing her, the other members of her group filed in curiously and began to do a sweep of the area. After a minute or so, one of them found a trap door under a rug that led down into the basement.

Down here were more books, benches, chemistry sets, chalk drawings and penned diagrams, along with several items that her Force attunement drew her attention to. The Sons of Roc quickly pocketed these items though she had a bit of an opportunity to look through some of them before they were stowed.

There were several crystals, a few figurines, a pocket watch, and a monocle.

She discovered that she was incorrect,  there were indeed Khyber crystals on this planet. Perhaps they were just very rare? A mystery for later investigation, the pocket watch drew her attention. At first it was an unusual until she fiddled with it and it opened. There were markings and moving pieces. After a moment she figured it out, "Ah, a chronometer. Why would such a device resonate with the Force?" She asked as she handed the device over.

He reached down and took a look at the notes on the desk nearby. "Looks like they were trying to use this as some sort of weapon or protection against spirits... err... Mynochs ... but they ran out of time."

Fortunately, it did not take very long to gather all of the small items and handwritten notes into satchels and load them into the car.

"I know what spirits are, though I lack sufficient knowledge of the Force to see them unless they want it. You shouldn't dismiss me so casually.  The chronometer is working, it simply doesn't work as intended. The Force doesn't always obey our commands. Sometimes it knows best.  As Maddie looked around with her sight, she sees two figures. One was the mage who's name she couldn't remember. The other was two life forces overlaid one atop the other. The second life force was much greater than the other and had the same feel as the monsters that ripped apart the city... it was as if a chunk of that storm had broken off and waited here, dormant, for her to find it.

With normal sight, the person in question was maybe an 18 year old girl, lucky to be 150lbs soaking wet but her eyes burned with an inner light and black veins spread out from her eyes, through the dark circles around them, and down her cheeks.

She was holding one of the Sons of Roc by the head with one hand and a hand over the mage's mouth with the other. Before Maddie could even speak, the young girl slammed the battle mage's head against the wall with enough force to splatter it completely before hoisting it up and wielding the corpse one handed by the leg.

It then looked at the assembled Jedi and spoke in a voice like fire and gravel. "Where are the children?!?"

The remaining Sons of Roc wasted no time, drawing their weapons (a knife, a tire iron, a bat, and a chain) and all swung in seeming unison, ripping into the woman, leaving cuts and lacerations on her body despite the distance and the fact that their weapons should not have possibly been able to reach. However, despite sustaining enough damage that she should have died, the young woman was still on her feet, the black veins forming instantly around the wounds they had inflicted upon her.

OOC: Your turn...

Maddie could see that the wounds they had inflicted upon the woman were knitting together at an accelerated pace. When she spoke, it was once again brimstone and gravel.

"Our children are gone! We must find them! The storm does not carry. Our children are not inside this vessel.

Shade spoke up. "Take care when dealing with things like this. What you agree to is not always what you think."

The young woman dropped her corpse-flail and took a few steps forward. The wounds they had inflicted had all but vanished, replaced with patches of black-veined skin. She lolled her head from one side to another as she walked, shifting a bit closer to Maddie.

"It will help us find our children? We will allow this."

Above all, she remained calm. The situation was frightening, certainly but she was a Jedi, and fear was not an option for her. She nodded at Shade's warning, "I understand." As the creature approached she turned to the side to allow it to pass by but she kept her eyes on the thing. Not allowing fear wasn't the same as being foolhardy. She knew enough to respect the power this creature held.

"Chrona, do you know how to find this Noah? That might be the best place to start"

She allowed the strength she had gained by the force to ebb away. She used the Force to send Chrona a message, "Trust me."

Turning to the thing, "I am called Xorb. We cannot move quickly without machines. Will you follow us?"

In reply to Maddie (msg # 34):

That is the issue with crossover games. Rules tend to bump into one another. In the event of possession you need to get the invading spirit to willingly leave, contact a mage with spirit magic, have another spirit drag the first out, or contact a honest to goodness exorcist.

Though to throw you a curve ball, in the event of a possession the spirit is the one in total control. The person possessed goes into a spiritual hibernation. In this situation you are in control and it's the spirit riding copilot. Take it for what you will.

Xorb had checked out. Her position to guard Maddie's sanity had failed. What was left was instinct. Eat, sleep, survive was all it knew. It couldn't even speak. The it could manage was grunts and wordless screams. It opted for grunting.

The thing that was once Maddie/Xorb growled. It could not understand what they were saying. Language meant little to her. She lifted her hands and instinctively cast a spell that was so ingrained in her it was a part of her.

08:40, Today: Maddie rolled 7 successes using 8d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s with rolls of 7,8,8,10(+10,8),10(+3),10(+7),6,6.  Wits+athletics+forces.
7 successes on Hand of Mind. Her intent is to take all their guns from them, like Magneto in the First X-Men movie.

She turned her palms toward herself and pulled as if a mime pulling on imaginary ropes.

The weapons pulled free from their hands and the MPs moved independently to cover and pulled sidearms. "Fubar Contact, confirm. Mam, get down on the ground now and put your hands where we can see them."

She could see the driver for their transport step out and take full cover before he manipulated a box. "Code Fubar."

They all had their backup weapons and had taken cover to block her line of sight the best they could, this was their Tell.

She turned her hands palms out, making the rifles turn to face the MPs. SHe started squeezing her hands making the weapons fire to keep the soldiers heads down. Keeping them from being very effective she reached out to the gas tank of the armored truck. She attempted to heat the tank enough to cause the gas to explode.

08:15, Today: Maddie rolled 2 successes using 3d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s with rolls of 6,10(+8),4.  Int + Occult = Control Heat as Ritual.

Maddie managed to hit something with her magic for sure as there was a hissing sound and a flame like a minor jet engine started firing downward from the bottom of their transport. When gas is scarce, use a Tesla.

The one who was at the transport ran for cover as his radio stopped working. He switched over to his own com. "Fubar actual, inbound!"

They did not fire but they did start moving back going cover to cover to keep her line of sight broken, only moving when her suppressive fire was redirected, forming a wide perimeter.

OOC: You're in the middle of an intersection. There are ruined buildings on all sides (synths are literally everywhere, moving rubble and tearing down that remains of the ruins). All the buildings for as far as Maddie can see (which isn't terribly far considering how choked with buildings the city can be) have been fenced off for reconstruction. There are dump trucks filled with debris all along the road.

Gas in and of itself is not made of explodium but it is extremely flammable. She created a hot spot on the tank and there was a quick gout of flame that struck the MP officer in the back. This made him not dive forward but backwards and off to the side to break cover entirely. The gas tank did a slow burn. The officer was likely applying some form of stop drop and roll to put his back out, or taking off his pack and putting himself out that way.

There was, however, a faint whirring sound in the distance.

I'll be making some assumptions. If they are incorrect I will edit.

She snarled as the flame burst out of the car and caught the soldier. It wasn't exactly what she had planned but it would do. There was a clear path to one of the buildings now. She ran towards the fence surrounding that building. Somehow she felt she could jump it, though some part of her protested that it was too high.

08:16, Today: Maddie rolled 2 successes using 10d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s with rolls of 6,1,5,6,9,4,10(+4),7,6,1.  Str (enhanced) + Athletics = jump the fence.

If successful she will sprint to the building, letting the rifles run their ammo out to cover her. When the ammo is dry she will drop the guns but not the TK spell.

She heard them first, ultra-quiet buzzing noises, before she saw the small drones. Little things that moved in and out of sight keeping an eye on her. Between camera and infrared, the eyes in the area around her numbered at least in the double digits.

Even the airforce had dabbled with them, called the black hornet nano most officers could be sent out with them. Each officer could toss out two and control them remotely. Code Fubar must have a step one of all officers in an area activating their drones.

She was also so brilliantly perceptive she even noticed an airborne craft far away and a number of small shapes break off and start heading in her general direction.

Code Fubar, it seemed, was the response devised for things like husks and werewolves.

The drones stopped, moved up at an absurd speed, and started retracing their steps to reestablish connection or at least LOS connection. They wouldn't be a problem for a few moments.

What was a problem was the objects flying at speeds well above anything that was common technology. Four of them landed some eighty feet to either side of her. One the same distance behind her, but only a few feet in front of her one came crashing down at extreme speed.

Standing up was John Randall, a USMC enlisted man who was known through nearly all branches though not always believed. He had a record for coming out no matter how bad things got. He had even recently been commended, promoted, then demoted for surviving a major supernatural event in New York.

Even on an animal intuition, this was a predator. He stood up having used all of any action or operation he could to get there. "The hell kind of pound puppy are you? Fubar is for roid wolves."

She says nothing, in fact she makes no sound at all. She changes the position of her body to a classic saber En Garde by sliding her left foot back into a ninety degree angle with her right and about shoulder width appart. She presents her right profile, right arm extended holding an imaginary weapon. Her left arm is up so that shoulder to elbow is a straight line, elbow bent at 90 degrees, her hand in a relaxed open position. Her head, face and eyes do not move off him, and she slightly bends both knees. The overall impression is a snake coiled to strike.

She reached out with far hand to grab and pull all grenade pins in her area, and activate any flash bangs. This is a ruse, she fully expects they can handle this. While they are distracted she used far hand to grab and pulls their vehicles into them. If that works she will reach out and pull one of the dumptrucks to smash/run over GI Joe in front of her. She doubted her would call her puppy again.

John made contact and they both immediately moved into the center of the area, exposing them both to the rooftops. He had gripped her hand and her belt line to move her effectively as he wished once he got his hands on her. "I learned this from a little old lady working an egg roll cart." With the hand holding onto her hand the whole limb started spinning in such a way as it was clearly unnatural as he spun around to cross her arm over her chest.

He then stepped into her holding onto the muscle structures near her beltline. "Boys! Puddin wrasteling formation."

The men on the roof didn't peek out, they just lobbed more grenades that detonated when they got overhead. A blanket thick enough to cover the area burst out and started descending slowly over head.

The effects of grappling with John.
Maddie can choose to fall prone with John, if she chooses not to her arm will be dislocated.
She takes 2 lethal
She as at -2 strength dots to resist grapple
There is a stacking -1 penalty

To clarify. He did not grab her belt line, he has gripped the muscles of her hip with an iron grip. He is holding onto her and not her gear.

Unbuckling the strap with magic was a fair bit more difficult a proposition than Maddie had considered, primarily because she had no sensory means to determine where which thing was. The only thing she could rely on was whether or not the strait jacket was getting looser or not... however, after what seemed like a considerable amount of time, the strait jacket was loose enough for her to remove it should she wish.

The pain in her shoulder had all but vanished, replaced with an uncomfortable heat in her shoulder joint that prevented her from feeling anything in that region at all.

Looking around, the cell was empty and devoid of openings save for the door at the front of the room guarded by a soldier.

The soldiers rose almost in unison trying to taze her... but the electricity simply flowed through her and into the priest. She grabbed the priest by the cross hand and slammed him into both of the soldiers, sending them sprawling against the far side of the room. It grabbed the priest by his clothes (in a bunched up knot by the chest. "LIAR! The beacon was lit! The way was set! Out children are here and we must save them!"

Finder's Keepers (0.4.0b) (solo) (Maddie)

The thing under Maddie's skin blazed with determination. "Then we must find them and make certain that they are!"

The other soldiers staggered to their feet, firing a barrage of nonlethal rounds into her back. She stumbled and threw the priest into the soldiers, causing them to land in a pile before tearing the solid steel door off its hinges and throwing it at the guard just outside. He barely ducked out of the way.

Thud, Thud, Thud, Thud, came the sound of the pain train. Thud, Thud, Thud, he rounded the corner at a full inhuman speed followed by the other members of his team trailing behind. Once close John yelled out like a Drill Sargent. "I am steak attacking you!" And he plowed into her fighting her weight more than her, aiming to not just take her off her feet but to take her through anything in their path of travel.

Thud, Thud, Thud, "Imma plant me a dumb ass tree in the courtyard!"

John tackled Maddie around the waist and slammed her into the far wall, taking her clean through the ruin and out into the courtyard. As she hit the ground, the monster within grabbed John by the head and began to drag his face along the ground.

"Fuck me, I gotta finally use my sticks." He pulled one out of his belt, a short stick no longer than his elbow to fingertips. When she started dragging his head along the ground his entire body wrapped around her arm and a leg kicked up over her head. Hooking around the other like a slide for life to lock around her head.

He pulled her arm fully from the socket.

He started rubbing the steel toe of his boot on her head giving her a nuggy, "SAY UNCLE! SAY UNCLE!"

This fight was entirely unlike his previous fight with her. She was not some broken doll without a will. This was a creature filled with desperation and purpose. "Give our children BACK!!!"

Even dislocated, the arm still moved with full function as it charged the next wall in the facilitaty, using John's head as a battering ram! His helmet shattered and the wall did too as the creature possessing Maddie charged into the mess hall, scattering the gathered soldiers as she made her way to the actual kitchen area.

John knew where this was going so he bent his back as far as he could and reached down about his hip, shoving two fingers into her nose and pulling back to start staggering her back outside as he continued to strangle her. "There is no winning this fight sweet heart. The moment I'm down its gonna be a dog pile of copper and lead."

As if to prove it, John felt the arm he had dislocated and that he had used as leverage snap like a twig as she took a swing. A jagged humerus erupted out of her arm flesh and into his exposed face!

With his fingers in her nose he pulled hard. He took the bone to the face and smiled. "I may be a devil dog but goodness, don't take 'throw a dog a bone' so literally sugar lumps." Back out into the courtyard they went. He reached down and with that robotic hand he pinched her hip to dislocate her thigh from her hip.

With her nose as the reins to this wild ride he walked her back closer to her cell again. With that free hand he reached down and removed her other leg from its hip joint socket. It was extremely dangerous to let her control how this tango could move. "You ever go night night? You ever go night night?!"

In his head it was all Go to sleep, Go to sleep, Go to sleep, Go to sleep, Go to sleep, Go to sleep.

The reinforcements had arrived and began to unload nonlethal rounds into Maddie. The thing inside lost consciounsness bot only briefly, requiring sustained fire to keep it down.

John brought out the priest, aching and shaken bun none the worse for wear (nothing a few days rest wouldn't cure). Initially, he objected to the violence being inflicted but John assured him that it was the only way to keep the monster down long enough to complete.

He once more began the rite over a hail of suppressive nonlethal fire, forcing the spirit out of the body... and only once it had physically manifested over Maddie's broken form did the gunfire stop. A few that had not participated in the suppressive fire took out cameras, videoing the exorcism.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Maddie awoke a week later, arm in a cast and feeling more aches than she had likely ever suffered in her entire life. However, the rest of her was strapped to the bed where a medical IV dripped into her. There were also two guards keeping watch over her. As she regained consciousness one of them spoke softly into his radio.

For ??? there was pain. There sharp awful gouts of it roiling from her arm and hips. She wanted to sink back into the warm embrace of unconscious, but she couldn't. Her dreams were of the tower that had once called to her. The tower did not need say, she had been called to endure and set things right. Just before she woke she had scratched a name on the wall. Her own true name.

Coming too Xorb was in control again. Her memories were jumbled bit she was aware of what had happened. Nightwitches! She had naively believed them gone. They very obviously were not. When she was able she fought the pain and opened her eyes, not completely but enough.

She realized she was in a primative healing facility. She knew it to be primative because she wasn't floating in Becta fluid. The primative had stationed a pair of guards, likely she surmized so she did not harm herself. She tried to speak but it sounded like dried leaves. She did manage a sentence, "Does your primitive world have water?"

One of the soldiers took a syringe (without a needle. it was effectively a turkey baster) and put it in a cup of ice water. As he was doing so, the other soldier aimed his weapon at her. The soldier with the water gave her a slow drip to make certain she didn't choke. He repeated this motion a few times until she was finished and the soldier walked backward, never taking his attention off of her. When the first soldier had returned to his position, the other one lowered his weapon.

A few more minutes passed until there was the loud sound of handheld machinery outside. Both soldiers aimed their weapons at her wordlessly as a bolt came unscrewed from the door, then another, then another. Then came the sliding of metal against metal on the other side and the door opened slightly. Two men in black suits with black sunglasses walked through, showing their badges to the soldiers and dismissing them. As the door closed behind, the metal upon metal once more slid and the machinery put the three large bolts back into place.

The two men sat and one pulled out a file from his jacket. "Maddie Brox, unremarkable student, enlisted in the Navy at age 19, achieved the rank of E4 Corpsman by the age 23 but was discharged under provision AR 635-200.

Recently diagnosed with Dissociative Personality Disorder and now recently possessed."

He tucked the file back into his coat. "Do you know why we're here?"

The other agent crossed the room. "I don't see a bewitchment on her crown agent." He was sprinkling a white dust around the outline of the room. "As far as authority it is best to think that agent here has authority over what happens next whereas I have authority over life and death." He held up one finger. "I have a sense for strange things, if I feel a twitch of magic it's my job to stop it."

"They call people like me Hunters. But you knew that already right? Thank the good agent here that the witches hammer cant act on you."

He quickly put the object back into his coat pocket. "You're in a LOT of trouble right now.  The agent gave his partner the side eye before pulling out a tablet and showing her the screen. It was a live video feed from multiple angles (cop cams) showing her yanking weapons out of the hands of the soldiers that had first approached her. They had video of her trying to set fire to police and leaping a giant wall.

"Understand that we have enough evidence that we don't need to 'fish' for anything. If we turn you over to Consilium, you'll be killed on the spot. If we turn you over to the Malleus Malificarum, you'll be burned at the stake, and if we bring you back with us, you will spend the rest of your life in a cell just like this with wards to prevent you from escaping.

I'm going to ask you one last time. Would you like to tell us your side of the story?"

"Open up and elaborate, go from the start and how you ran into this spirit. If you're a jedi, awesome, then stop talking back to the republic officers like you're a master. So chill Padawan and start from the top."

Xorb sighed in frustration, "This really is the most backwater..." She closed her eyes and lay back. "My fellow Jedi and I were searching the domicile of other Jedi who had fallen in battle. During our search I used the Force to sense Life in the area and this creature emerged from an invisibility. I tell you it was a Nightwitch possessing the form of a young woman. It charged me, screaming about it's children and how I was to help it. I had agreed to help, but our definitions of help were vastly apart. It entered my body against my will. I felt hot and like I was menstruating. It screamed in my head for me to find a dragon and a sorcerer with blue hair. I refused, it took over and attacked my fellow Jedi. I handed over my Light Saber so that they could destroy the creature if need be. That is the last thing I remember."

"After a bit of processing, your crew will be let go, can't let breaking into a military base off easy. You, however, are another story."
He pulled up his own PDA with a number of feeds, close-up views, drone camera footage. "Fair or not you're already trending. We are working on a virus to have your likeness removed from the internet."

"That being said, are you looking for a job? It would be a trial run. It is a deal offered often to anomalies such as yourself. A way to put out the fire on your ass."

"We don't really have any other option given the amount of resources it will take to clean this slate. Say no and we will leave without a word, we will never darken your doorstep again. Game over Star Fox."

Her frustration had been building the entire time he spoke. It took tremendous effort on her part to remain calm. She only knew he was done because of the silence that lasted longer than a breath. "I once believed Moff Gideon loved the sound of his own voice more than anyone,  yet you have proven that conclusion erroneous."

She opened her eyes and spoke slowly, "I do not understand the meaning behind the barrage of words you utter. My life's purpose is to defend those who lack the means to do so themselves." Her body was growing weary. She would need more sleep soon. "I grow weary. I would appreciate you trying again and using fewer words. It would help if you avoid local colloquialisms. I am not on fire, for instance."
