Finder's Keepers (0.4.0b) (solo) (Maddie)

Maddie found herself outside of a house in a residential area of Queens behind what was once a residential district. Now it was almost impossible to tell what had once been there. The building itself was damaged but still mostly intact, despite the next twenty buildings nearby having vanished entirely down to their very foundations.

She was with 4 other members of the Sons of Roc, sent here on a mission. This house was once a Haven for a group of other... jedi ... and their equipment likely remained inside. Their job was to recover the equipment and to see if any clues were to remain behind.

Finder's Keepers (0.4.0b) (solo) (Maddie)

This world continued to surprise her. She thought of it as a backwater. It was at the cusp of being extra-solar, sending carbon fueled rockets to it's own moon. It had feral Wookies and it's own kind of Jedi. They called themselves Maji, but they were just primitive Jedi. She seemed to be the only one with a Lightsaber, and they seemed very intrigued by the Kyber crystal that fueled it. They did focus the force into their own weapons, though. Her logical conclusion was that this planet had no Kyber.

Her own mode of dress had changed but only slightly. She found what was fairly close to a set of Jedi robes, here they were called Kung-Fu robes. Silly how some things show up in all cultures. She had found a long brown coat, but they had no hood. That was okay, she rarely wore the hood up. She wore nice soft leather boots she had found in a garbage pile. These Sons of Roc Jedi dressed like people from their own backwater planet.

Standing out front of the building they were suppose to raid she noted that there should have been other buildings on either side. This world had suffered some kind of cataclysm which as far as she could gather was caused by a Sith of some kind. This group of Roc Jedi needed supplies and frankly she could use some as well. The Roc Jedi seemed nervous and none willing to take the lead. She snorted, "Master Yoda would be displeased. Fear leads to the Dark Side. Lets push fear aside and head in." She moved and opened the door.

The other Sons of Roc paused for a long moment, looking from one to another as Maddie approached the door and found it to be locked. One of the members, who called himself Shade if she remembered correctly, approached the door.

He pulled out a set of lockpicks and set himself to the task of opening the door. "Looks like the ward they had up is still intact somehow. It'll take me a minute or two to get us in."

Meanwhile, another of the group, who called himself Chrona, was examining the front yard where the bodies had been found. He was also looking around to see if there was anyone around them.

 There wasn't.

So Chrona pulled out a small metal cube and sat it on the ground where a hologram of the events of the storm had played out. It showed 8 … jedi … battling with multitudes of some kind of small winged creatures wielding electricity. The "battle" took only a minute or so before they were overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Chrona sighed. "Just like the other Havens. Anyone who chose to fight were slaughtered."

Roughly that time, Shade popped the lock and the door opened. The inside was well decorated with items likely carrying some sort of local historical value. Swords, sculptures, books, and banners. It felt a little cluttered and the living room seemed to have been converted into a group study.

The four other members spread out in the main room to study the items present. There were other rooms as well (Maddie could see through the door into the kitchen behind them and the dining room to the right) but the others seemed content to take the house one room at a time.

Maddie watched curiously at Chrona's display. It had been a while since she had seen a holodisk display. She did not even know this backwater world could produce such. What it showed was awful. "Are those Mynochs?" Her voice is filled with concern. Then the door gave way and they entered. She did not know exactly what they were looking for, but she knew what she needed: food, water, and medicine. She went to the kitchen and began looking for those things first.

07:57, Today: Maddie rolled 1 success using 4d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s with rolls of 6,6,9,3.  Int+Investigation.

When Maddie mentioned Mynochs, Chrona furrowed a brow but another of the group (Maddie couldn't remember his name) whispered something into his ear. There was a spark of recognition on Chrona's face. "Oh! Mynochs. Yeah, seems like."

As the others inspected the living room, Maddie found that the kitchen held quite a few canned goods and dried foods. Beans, fruits, meats. All were stocked in cans or plastic bags and dried. There was also a first aid kit in one of the cabinets.

However, opening the refrigerator proved to be a mistake as she was assaulted by the smell of mold and rotten foods inside.

The kitchen opened up into a dining room and a hallway that led to a bathroom and several bedrooms.

Maddie put what she found into her shoulder bag. Opening the fridge made her gag and she closed it quickly. She took a moment to regain her senses before looking around again. She called back to the Roc Jedi, "Hey, what are we looking for? I found what I need, so if you guys just let me know I can help." She turned back and looked again, reporting what she saw, "There is a corridor, with sever sleeping chambers and a place for washing and deficating."

The last of the group, he called himself Charlie but she was reasonably sure that wasn't his real name, spoke up. "Research. That and any relics they were hoarding. It would be dangerous to leave any of that out for normal people to find. So look for anything handwritten or anything like your... light saber."

Looking back in the living room, they had been methodically going through all the books in the living area and there were a few knickknacks in their satchels too.

Maddie did not understand his reference to her lightsaber. Her lightsaber was not a relic, it was in fact fairly new. Perhaps the fact that is resonated with the Force? "Handwritten or Force resonance. I understand your requirements." She headed off into the corridor to look in the sleep chambers.

Maddie found that her ability to sense the Force was... inadequate. There was no power in the house. Thus there was no heat or AC and so nothing much to read other than the subtle shifts in the cosmic forces... which she could only vaguely pick up.

However, as she was looking around, she noticed something off in the hallway though she couldn't put her finger on what or find anything out of the ordinary.

Investigation has been rolled. It is your acute senses and intuition that has alerted you to something being off in the first place. Everyone else is entirely oblivious. The spells bit is just to list what is active in the event there is a major trap spell on a wall or something, pays in the event we need to apply spells to help you avoid dabblage. or you could be aware to the uranium in the cupboards.

Dont let that stop you from posting. At current we know what visions you have up and that should be enough to coast along. If combat comes up then we need the rest of the list.

Mage Sight - Read Matrixs

Sometimes the Force gave one an unspecific warning. Woe be unto those who ignore it. She turned back to the Roc Jedi, "There is something wrong here. I can't say exactly what, but I know there is something. "
