The Vault (0.4.2a) (Solo) (Nefertiti)

Nefertiti took the portal back to the building that had once been a bank vault, only to find that the door had been opened and the contents inside removed. This building had not yet been repaired by the synthetics and... judging from the direction they were building, it would not be for some time. It did not look as though her thrall had been here for some time. The candles she had been using for light were likewise gone and it had been some time since she had eaten. She was starting to get hungry.

The Vault (0.4.2a) (Solo) (Nefertiti)

When Nefertiti entered into her Haven she could see that things were not as they should.  The emptiness was a bit of a shock for she thought her follower would keep it occupied and hoped to bring others. As she looked around the place it was also disappointing to see that the contents inside the safe were gone. She could only hope that her follower took them for safe keeping till she returned.

That annoying feeling has returned for the hunger of food. Even though she had that stuff from Noah, which tasted horrible. It did keep this feeling of hunger away. Now she would need to find something and soon.

Taking a moment she remembers where her Thrall lived and headed there to see if he had what she desired.

The Vault (0.4.2a) (Solo) (Nefertiti)

It took Nefertiti a few hours to reach her thrall's home, a gated apartment building that had taken a beating from the storm. However, like her lair, the building was empty. There was no one here... not in any of the rooms.

At least, not that she could tell. The doors were shut and locked, but no lights came from within and there was a sense of abandonment here.

The Vault (0.4.2a) (Solo) (Nefertiti)

Along the way, Nefertiti looked to see if she was able to spot any of those strange fruits that been growing around the city.

Her finger moved to her lower lip as she pondered for a moment what has happened here and why did her Thrall leave or worse.  Has he lost his Faith in her when she regained a soul, which cause her to loose her Divinity powers.

Was she even still a Demi-Goddess, what was she now and what was she to become.

Knowing that Isis was within her she wanted to see if she could call upon the gift of Arcana Sight.  If she was able to spot anything out of the ordinary with it, that is if she was able to call upon it.  It has been many centuries since she last used her magic.

Taking a deep breath and focusing on what she remembered about Aracana and its connection to the Mortal Realm.

The Vault (0.4.2a) (Solo) (Nefertiti)

It took nearly 30 minutes of clutching her holy symbol and continuous effort but Nefertiti finally managed to open her third eye, peering across into the veil of the supernatural. Unfortunately, there was nothing particularly out of the ordinary here. Nothing of supernatural nature had occurred here any time recently.

The sun was beginning to set. The sky had begun to turn red as the last rays of daylight vanished beyond the ocean and her belly was beginning to growl uncomfortably.

OOC: not really. This area hadn't been cleared yet but it had been picked clean of fruit and was pretty much abandoned. All that remained were budding fruits not ready to harvest.

However, with some searching, Nefertiti managed to find one that had been missed inside a gated area in a hard to reach spot, likely deemed too much trouble to access. You can make Str + Athletics checks to get to it but each roll represents 15 minutes worth of effort so the day will be later than originally posted.

The Vault (0.4.2a) (Solo) (Nefertiti)

Nefertiti's stomach was starting to be more of a problem than she expected, but with careful searching she was able to spot a fruit and with great care to reach it so that she could at lease give her stomach something to digest.

Once that was done she then wondered why the area was so abandon.  Did something horrible happen or did more foul beings show their existence. It was late and she needed to find shelter somewhere before it was too late.  Now that she didn't possess her former power and still she was a beginner with her Arcana again.

Letting out a deep sigh she looked for shelter for the night, a place where she could lock herself inside if possible.

20:34, Today: Nefertiti rolled 1 success using 5d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s with rolls of 5,6,5,1,10(+7).  Str + Ath.

The Vault (0.4.2a) (Solo) (Nefertiti)

The sun had set by the time Nefertiti had gotten something to eat. It wasn't entirely enough to satisfy her grumbling stomach... not at all like the feasts she had eaten on the island or even the abundant (if tasteless) survival food Noah always carried with him.

Still, she had found enough food that she wasn't going to go hungry for the night and a bit of searching found a building with a gate she could jimmy open then close behind her. The closing mechanism was busted so she couldn't ensure that it was locked behind her.

She then managed to crawl in between some boards into an abandoned apartment building somewhere between her old haven and the home where her Thrall no longer was. The building smelled of mold and drugs with broken glass littering the floor. There was no power and no heat. Looking in the pantry, she found some canned goods but nothing to open them with.

Suddenly she heard footsteps moving rapidly toward her. She had not seen anyone nearby when she crawled in. There was nowhere to hide here and she had nothing to defend herself with other than the can of fruit cocktail she was holding.

Nefertiti held tightly to her Holy Symbol in hand and prepared herself for any battle that was soon to occur.  Hoping that she was able to summon some sort of power within her during this fight. If things got out of hand.

Where are the Powers when you need them. she thought.

The door burst open and three men in leather jackets and ski masks ran through the door wielding heavy chains and metal bats. They were covered in clothing from head to toe (including gloves for the hands) so she could tell nothing about them aside from the fact that they were all burly and probably men.

The window in the kitchen was boarded up and would take longer to remove than she had time. She was cornered and had about 6 seconds before the armed and armored men were on her.

The men did not reply. Instead they charged her and wrestled her to the ground, gagged her, tied a black bag over her head and zip tied her arms and legs.

She felt herself get thrown into a tight space and the sound of an engine start all around her. She wasn't certain how long it took for the car to stop but she was then hoisted and carried again, forced to her knees and tied up again, with her arms out to her side and her calves tied to the floor.

When the bag was removed from her head, she could see symbols of Isis all around her, golden statues and white pillars, incense burning and luxurious carpets and drapes. The man who removed her bag and gag was none other than the man she had enthralled. He whispered quickly "I'm sorry." before scurrying away.

From behind her came a familiar voice. It was Carmilla's. "Welcome to the chantry of the Circle of the Crone."

The Vault (0.4.2a) (Solo) (Nefertiti)

Nefertiti was not skilled at fighting like her brothers but she was more of a diplomatic woman.  In time she would of been taught what was needed but her death took away those skills to be learned.  Then to fall into a deep sleep with the failure of being turned fully into an Undead.

As she was being taken from one place to another she sent out a silent prayer to Isis in hope that she would hear her call.

When she was finally able to see and ungagged she was a bit shocked to see who was standing there but even more shocked to hear the voice of that drastically bitch of a Kindred.  There was a moment of silence as she thought about how she would react to all this.

"It is nice to finally be invited to the Chantry. she replied.

"The Crone has been good to you.  I see, may her touch be upon you forever.

As she is within me.

There was something of a laugh from behind her. It held no humor. "That is the plan, yes."

She heard someone walk up behind her. It was one of the masked thugs from earlier. He held her still and cut her arm, Letting Nefertiti's blood run into a cup. "I've been doing my research. I made some calls to the Crones of Egypt. I learned about your little... 'experiment'. The origins of the Tremere are such an interesting subject, I decided to recruit one. His help has been instrumental."

"It is alvays good to be acknowledged, Fraulein."

She heard the clinking of glass behind her as the thug tightened a rag around her wrist to stem the bleeding. "But, more than that, I'm interested in the power that resonates within you."

Carmilla walks close and whispers in your ear. "I'm interested in your divinity."

She pulled back and began walking away, never stepping into Nefertiti's sight. "And I can't thank you enough for that little show with the moon. Without it, I never would have been able to pull this off so well."

From behind, there was the sound of fire, bubbling, and more tinkling of glass.

Nefertiti was wondering if she was going to be able to discover anything within her blood now that the pseudo-soul been removed and now she is somewhat mortal.  But still she may be able to regain what Powers she lost.

"Do you think it is wise to tap into what Isis wish to be unknown to you? she looked around at what she could before her and it was all that of Isis.  This must be a Temple in her honor.

"Why are you doing this Carmilla?

You had a chance to embrace me into the Coven and instead you shunned me away.  Only to try to gain what is not yours.  What I am is a servant of Isis, the Crone.  Do you wish to gain the Crone's ire?

You could hear more clinking of glass behind you, more boiling. "Spare me and drop the pretentiousness. You made a pact with the Tremere and somehow attained divinity, don't talk to me about the wishes of my goddess. You made it abundantly clear that you had no desire to share your secrets. You wanted to learn ours while contributing nothing of your own."

You heard a different set of footfalls and then a man's hand on your back, followed by the sensation of being observed. "Interesting, very interesting."

 "What is it?"

"This woman ist just a mage. She carries ze curse of Cain in her blood but she is notzing more zan a normal mage-girl."

There was a pause. "That's impossible!"

"Look for yourself." The man's tone seemed more amused than anything.

There was another pause and then rapid footsteps as Carmilla stepped into view, furious. "Your divinity is gone! Where is it? What did you do?"

"If you are still in favor with the Crone then she will tell you where it is.  But if your not, then I suggest you release me before she comes seeking revenge against one of her Chosen. not once did she release her stare upon her.

Carmilla slapped Nefertiti across the face. "Answer me!!!"

Nefertiti could hear the man behind her, which she still has not seen. "Tsk, tsk, tsk... such violence is unbecoming of a beautiful Fraulein such as yourself. Zere are much zimpler ways of getting ze answers we need... ones zat do not require her compliance."

Carmilla paused and looked up as the man behind her, her face contorted into a wicked grin. "Yes, there are, aren't there?"

She sauntered out of view. "Then I'll leave her in your care, Doctor."

 "Of course, Fraulein."

He waited as footsteps filed out of a door behind her, leaving only her and the doctor in the room. "I have long wondered about ze nature of ze vampires that begat my lineage. Ze Tremere, blood mages on par with ze Awakened themzelves... and, to think I get to study a live specimen."

She heard the clinking of metal behind her. "But ze soul you have is suppressing ze curse... and we both know zat a mage soul cannot exist alongside ze vampiric curse. Zis is idle curiosity, mind you, but how did a vampire manage to place a mage soul within themselves? You should have burned to ash on the spot."

Nefertiti looked at Carmilla with a wicked smile after she slapped her.  It only gave her more reasoning to remove her from her station and replace her among the Circle of the Crone.  Watching her movements with distaste as she spoke to the man behind her and then listened as Carmilla leaves the room.

Taking her time to listen to what all the man had to say but still he seemed to be one that is of that seeks wisdom not power.  His lineage flows within her and in truth he should honor her and give her respect.  But still she didn't know what all he was about or what all he truly seeks.

"Are you a follower of the Crone as well, Good Doctor? she asked in hope to find out more about him.

With what he is telling her about the soul is suppressing her curse, it is only a boon for her later to unravel its powers from not being used.

"I can share with you such knowledge but only if the Crone allows me.  She is my source of life and Power. using her knowledge of the Crone, what little she did.  But she knew a lot more about  the ways of Isis and if he claimed to be a member of the Crone then this was a chance for her to gain something.

It is zuch an interesting development ve have here.

Once I remove your soul, ze mark of Cain should once more become active and ve vill zee just vat your divinity consists of."

Nefertiti twitched some at the pain for it’s been a long time since she felt something like this and to not be able to do anything. She took a few deep breaths to control herself and not move too much. All the while she only looked around and was surprised that he would do such a testing in the Temple of Isis. She closed her eyes fir a moment giving another prayer to Isis in hope that she didn’t condone this action.

Good Doctor, you seem to be a one of wisdom and great knowledge. Do you think it is wise of you to do this in her Temple. When it was her who placed this soul within me whilst I visited her in the Land of the Dead She allowed him a moment to think on that.

Do you also think it would be wise to remove my soul here. You believe that once it is removed that the curse will return. If that is so, do you believe that you would be able to hold me here. I’m much older than you and the Powers that I hold is far beyond what you can control with these she looked at the bindings.

Furthermore, do you wish for a Goddess to appear as well and show you her disproved of your actions to her Chosen while in her Temple. again she tried to appease his morale side. If he had one.

If you truly received zis soul from ze mistress of zis temple as you zay, zen it is likely that you traded away your divinity for it, yes?

Nefertiti face frowned at the foul creatures words but he couldn't see it unless he was to come around and show her his face.

"Why do you speak of Divinity that once was mine, but don't have much in believe that Gods exist.  Why are you doing this to me then.  To find my divinity, correct. her words were slow soft as she tried to think of a way to summon her Goddess.  She knew that Sariel's way was to open a book and call upon him.  Would casting a spell and praying her name out loud be hers.

She didn't have much in the practice of magic in this time and age but she did know of some things and she tried again to call upon the sight and as she did she called out to Isis.

"Isis, hear my plea.  Show yourself to this being. she said in hope that it would happen while in her Temple, but then again she thought of calling the Archmage Mistral as well.
