Victor had indicated that Sal needed to come see him at his penthouse... where no Kindred had ever been invited. He was let in quickly and found Victor standing at the window overlooking the city. He had a glass of artificial blood in hand and was swirling it... but he never took a drink.

 "Your secret's out, Sal... and so is mine."

 He turned around and sat the blood on the table, holding up his left hand for Sal to see. On his finger was a ring identical to his own. "Three days ago, Carmilla approached me. She wanted me to put out a Blood Hunt on your Egyptian friend. If I refused, she threatened to out your secrets to the entirety of Kindred society.

 I'm sure you know which option I took, just as you know why I did so. I received notice that your friend had been captured last night just before dawn."

 Victor looked ragged, as though a great weight had settled upon his shoulders. "I had hoped to smooth things over with Carmilla at your party, give her reason to get back in line... but now things have cascaded out of control so terribly that I may no longer hold the title of Prince in the coming weeks."

Sal said, angrily, "She aims for your title? I won't let that happen! As for Nefertiti, I can't blame you for that, though I hate to think what they plan for her. Her blood is quite potent, as you may recall. I assume Carmilla expects me to rescue her, so she can have me taken down for interfering with a blood hunt? And how did she learn about our rings?"

 Victor nodded and sat down his glass. "I can only assume that would be her goal, yes. I'm certain you can imagine her craving for the gifts we've been granted. She hides behind the Blood Hunt now... but, if she were no longer able to enforce the Hunt and your friend officially joined the Camarilla, I could easily justify lifting the Blood Hunt.

 I cannot say for sure how she found out but, were I to guess, she likely has a mage on her payroll. You were with our benefactor when he gouged a hole in the moon, yes? It would be an easy enough feat to find out."

 He pulled out a small bowl of water and his cellphone. "Unfortunately, I have business to take care of just out of town. It will take me most of the night to get there and most of the night to get back."

 He dropped his phone into the bowl of water. "... and it seems that I will need to get a new phone when I return. So I have a direct order for you from your Prince. Do not let me catch you interfering with the Blood Hunt. Are we clear?"

Sal said, "Understood. Shame about your phone. I hear the new S346 Ultra Slim Turbo 37G is better anyway," he added with a wry smile.

 Victor nodded with a hint of a smile. "I'll look into that when I return. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get going. My limo is waiting out front."

 Victor left the room with you and took the elevator down. He left via his limo but, before you could leave yourself, Milo approached you. He smiled and patted you on the back. "Good work on clearing my name, Sal. I'm throwing a party to celebrate. I managed to get hold of some of the good stuff from a local blood drive and I've pulled some strings. Every Kindred in the city will be there... well, everyone but Carmilla. She's on my shit list, being the one who put out that nasty rumor about me and all. The party will last all of tonight and all of tomorrow night.

 Anyway, I heard you were around so I came to give you a personal invite, you being the hero of the hour and all, but it looks like you might have other things to do. Still, drop by if you can, Chao."

Sal smiled, "You're welcome. Can't have my friends' names dragged through the mud, after all. I'll be sure to stop by, if I have the time."

 Milo left and now you were alone on the floor level of Victor's penthouse. Now came the time to decide: What will you do?

Sal sent a message out to his Cabal, "Any seen Nefertiti, tonight?"

Slate: A lil cartoon dragon shows up on Sal's slate. ~A synth has reported her at the docks. I am sending the SS Grey to pick her up. I can send the GPS of the synth that has eyes on her to your slate if you like~

He steps outside, to his waiting car, He sends a message to Mistral, as Point Break, wearing makeup to look less like himself, drives towards the docks, in a hurry. "Mist, I'm in my car. If you're not too busy, could you please find me a shortcut to the docks?" He tells Point Break, "If you see water sooner than you expect, stop!"

Given Mistral was dealing with a downed Grey and Noah had a live connection to Sal's slate Noah fed the driver a course to get the car out of line of sight. The portal opened for the car used about ten times more power than was needed and was not nearly so elegant as what Mistral would do. But there was no doubt that the car had shifted to the island when it crossed over the portal.

The more rend in space less portal behind the car sealed up slowly burning off the gobs and gobs of magic used to create it.

Noah sucked at space magic, but shoot big enough bullets you're bound to hit your target.

Sal stepped out of the car, and said, "Close enough. Thank you, Noah. Is this space shielded from mechanical, spiritual, and magical eavesdropping?"
